Here is the difference and I told the technician. Basically, they are professional and OLD SCHOOL. Meaning: they are NOT going to upsell, they ACTUALLY clean the windows and VACUUM the car which is a total bonus. This was my first time with them and now they are going to get all four of my cars from this point onward. I am wondering if they have coupons because if they do that would be icing on the cake. Close to my home in Park Ridge, reasonable pricing, professional work and from one visit I trust them already. Usually I do not post reviews but I had to share this one. No BS, no upsells, and no lies. Took my Acura to the dealership to have it checked out since I bought it 6 months ago. They told me it would cost $1200 to replace all my brake pads as they are in critical condition. I head to Ted's shop on a friend's reco and they tell me "Nah, you've got a good 50% life on these. But we did repair a puncture hole in your back tire and did a complete inspection on your car. All looks good!" These people are godsends! It's a bit of a drive for me but it's 100000% worth it. About 2 hours after I drop my car off Javier calls me and says they can't do the alignment because I have a list of issues I need to repair 1st. He tells me $2600 for all the repairs. I was shocked. I just had my car serviced a month ago and my mechanic never said anything. I tell him to just replace the sensors and give me my car. Next day I take it to my mechanic and my mechanic tells me that 3/5 repairs that Firestone recommended were COMPLETE LIES. That there was nothing wrong. My Mechanic did say that the other two recommendations were valid and needed repair. Total $550. DO NOT LET THIS FIRESTONE DO ANYTHING TO YOUR CAR OTHER THEN TIRES.

I explained my situation to the young girl working the front desk and let her know I was stranded. She said there was no availability to get me a new tire that day, so my only option was to leave my car there until they had time to fit me in, possibly the next day. Frustrated and stuck ( I would have paid anything to get helped out) I asked if I could pay someone to put my spare on for me, because I lacked the proper tools and strength to get the lug nuts off. My car was already on their property- and she denied me. I ended up calling Triple A to come throw my spare on so I could take it to Just Tires in Uptown- who took care of me IMMEDIATELY and calmed my anxiety instead of making me feel like an inconvenience. I ended up buying a full set of tires from them too, so your negligence and complete lack of customer service lost you a sale. Don't waste your time with these people. There are much better places that will treat you respectfully and with care.
