Julio should not be answering phones. Called early morning and was told the bring the car in. The sooner the better, Julio says. Dropped it off. Talked to someone not named Julio, very pleasant. Nice personality. 12 pm comes, you know, 3 hours already with the car. I'm expecting the nice guy, but I get Julio. Immediately says oh, we're backed up and there's a few cars ahead of you. Okay? Isn't that something you mention to the customer ahead of time? The sooner the better, right? Wrong! I told him, hey man, I needed my car by like 3. He goes to say something about timing then I call him out saying you told me to bring it in early instead of scheduling. He says, alright ima call you back in 10-15 mins with your scan codes. Guy went to go tell his daddy bc in 10-15 mins the nice guy from earlier calls and talks to me about the importance of timing. Can't make this stuff up. They lied twice and didn't even diag the car. LOL! Gimme my car. I got to be part of a clown show for free. Definitely weigh out your other options and mention what the timing is going to look like. All these good reviews must be from bots. I would give them a zero but system doesn't allow. This is the third time that I have used Auto Service 1 and it has been a terrible experience. I contacted them because they are listed as a authorized repair shop for the warranty of one of my vehicles. Both times, I was charged "additional fees." They claim that my warranty doesn't cover my repair completely. On Friday, 9/19/2025, I took one of my vehicles for an oil change. The lift device got damaged and my vehicle is stuck up in the air. Dave, the manager, has not provided any updates on the repair. We have to call daily to get an update. The only thing we are told is "we have to wait, there is nothing they can do until they get it fixed." I understand the circumstance may be beyond their control but they are unwilling to provide any accommodations for their faulty equipment. Additionally, Dave responds nonchalantly and unsympathetically to our dilemma. We have been without a car for 4 days and everyday we are told, they will TRY to have it ready for another date. We should not be responsible for the charges on the oil change. We should be provided with a rental vehicle during this time, as we are being left without transportation through no fault of our own. David is refusing to even discuss how to alleviate this issue. He says there is nothing else he can do and will not provide us with the contact information of someone that could help us. read more

The lengthy preamble that the desk clerk gave me about how honest the business is should've been a red flag, and it was, but I was in a bind and couldn't go anywhere else. The price they quoted me seemed high based on my research, but I'm not a mechanic, and the price you pay for neither knowing nor caring about cars is getting fleeced when one breaks. So, I knew I was just going to have to live with it because I couldn't safely take the car anywhere else. The real problems started when they missed the initial quoted delivery date by more than a week. I dropped my car off on a Tuesday and was initially told that it would be ready that Friday. They missed the first delivery date, and I understand that delays happen and it can be hard to get parts, especially around the holidays. But the car wasn't ready until 10 days after the initial promised date, which was a huge inconvenience and meant I had to rent a car to complete my normal routines. During this time, they weren't communicative or forthcoming with updates. I had to call daily to get a report and would usually have to wait until the end of the business day to hear back. Then, when I finally picked the car up, the check engine light was on. I returned it the next day so they could see what was going on and, once again, had to wait a full day to hear from them. The service manager assured me repeatedly that the issue was "in a different part of the engine from the one they worked on." He told me he would call me the next day with a price to repair the new damage. I finally heard back from him like a week later when I called back and was quoted an exorbitant price. To get the second repair conducted, I took the car to a Midas shop that told me 1) the repair they wanted to conduct (they wanted to replace the entire EGR but only the connector was damaged) was excessive and 2) immediately asked "Did someone recently work on it? It looks like that's how it got damaged." A truly horrible experience. I would recommend any other mechanic in the area. read more

The next morning I got up and made an appointment with Mr. Ivan at Auto Service 1 when he answered the phone the joy and excitement in his voice made me comfortable, as God had told me in my prayer to go to this shop. When I entered the shop the calmness and pleasant surrounding and professionalism I received I was overwhelmed. Mr. Dave De Iao and Mr. Ivan Rodriguez and their staff showed me what real customer service looks and should be like. This shop was very clean and the staff was very polite and professional. They did an AWESOME job on my vehicle and showed be everything I needed as I was already aware of the amount I wanted to spend and what I needed to have done. They not only showed me but was able to back up everything with photos of my vehicle and the pricing was very fair as I never told them what my budget was they came under my budget and I got everything I needed done. I sent my vehicle in for a oil change I did not get my car back for 5 hours when I did get it back my check engine light was on he said oh it's just acting up I said okay I drive a block from there my car would not go more than 20 Mph , the cars belt and fan was making a weird noise while driving the car started to jerk it basically was stoping as I was hitting the accelerator I highly do not recommend this spot for anything I went back and told him everything he said he has no clue what happened. We purchased tires from a major chain and the purchase included free tire rotation as well as a free evaluation of other major parts on the car, which usually results in a repair estimate that exceeds $1000.00. I took the car to Our Town and Chuck told me that technically the repairs were necessary, according to the manufacturer's specs. However, Chuck said that the repairs weren't needed at the time and that we could probably get away with 20,000 mile more until it was necessary to make the repairs (nothing involving safety-related issues). Chuck is always honest in his assessment, does fine work, the shop is clean, the employees are respectful and the prices are reasonable. I recommend Our Town unconditionally. read more

I had a flat tire that i was able to fill and make it to our town just before it went flat again. I spoke with Chuck and asked about buying 2 new tires. All I can speak to is their customer service, which is terrible enough to ensure I never have any work done by them. I called today to make an appointment to bring my car in. I began to explain that it was idling a little rough and that I expected it needed spark plugs but just wanted to get it checked out, and the man who answered my call cut me off and started lecturing me about how I shouldn't be diagnosing my car, thats for a mechanic to do, and that if he does the spark plugs that won't fix the problem blah blah blah. You know, at first I was going to them because they were not far from my house and I thought it was out of convenience that I would only have them service my vehicle for minor repair issues, like burnt out fuses, replacing old brakes or even replace a battery. But when my truck started breaking down beyond the typical wear and tear issues I kept going to them because many times they would go over the diagnostic process a bit more thoroughly and they would even inform me of issues that I wasn't aware of without that strong arm tactic that I would need this or that in order to get my vehicle fully functional again. They were very forward with their assessment, very honest ( which in my opinion is practically a lost virtue ) and if they were to inform me what their limitations were as far as what they could or couldn't do, they were not afraid to tell me to go seek a special technician to replace this or that. Who does that? An honest business person that's who. They tell you how it is and I guess I get taken aback by this forward approach. But you know, they earned my trust because of that. Always helpful and courteous; and really you can't beat their prices, you actually get what you pay for and then some. i always thought that the automotive repair business (at least with the people that I met) would be swarmy, snarky, dishonest and disreputable, but truth be told Our Town kind of change my perception of automotive repair shops or at least changed my perception when it comes to dealing with them. Fantastic service! I originally brought my Ford in to an auto center who wanted to charge me around $1,700 in repairs! I read some positive reviews and decided to give Our Town a try. What a difference! I ended up paying close to $800 instead of $1,700 but even the $800 wasn't necessary since all I really needed was about $250 worth of work. The other stuff that I had done was simply a recommendation for the future. I decided to have it done anyway though since I had the funds. My car now drives like it did when I first bought it. I can't recommend these guys enough. Incredibly efficient, honest and courteous. Oh, and they mentioned that if anything goes wrong at all (which I can't forsee happening) that they would rather take care of the issue than lose a customer! Now that's service.
