These people will legitimately tell you if you need a battery for your car or not. If you don't need one, they won't sell you one

A huge shout-out to AJ, the Manager of this O'Reilly's location…read more Due to the severe weather I was stranded at home for 3 days with a flat tire. Even though I have AAA and Roadside Assistance through AllState, neither one of those services would/could assist me. One service even said they would be willing to set up an appointment if I paid an additional $200! AJ came to my rescue! He stopped by my house with the equipment needed to inflate my tire enough to get me to Jensen Tire. He made the trip without any expectation of payment from me and wouldn't take a cent in payment. God bless him! Can't say enought good things about AJ and O'Reilly's at 168th Court.

I encountered the worst treatment I've ever encountered at any retail establishment in my life at…read morethis location. I went in to buy a couple parts, and kid behind the counter was in a foul mood. He went to look up the first part and claimed he couldn't find it and said it was probably special order, so I then gave him the part number and lo and behold they had it. The kid then went to go find the part only for it to be in the wrong spot apparently. He snapped at me because I corrected him on the name of the part. After that whole ordeal the second part I had him look up he claimed they didn't have either. He showed me the screen only for me to point out that he incorrectly filtered the category to connector when I was looking for a sensor. He visibly became even angrier. It's not my fault you don't know how to use your computer, a trained dolphin could do a better job. I then asked about the return policy and he angrily told me that if it has any kind of dirt, oil or damage I won't be able to return the parts, and don't go setting them on fire. I honestly should have walked out and not bought anything and went to one of the 2 auto parts stores next door.

They constantly make suggestions that I'm wrong about my car. I'm not wrong, I do research. My first experience they kept telling me I didn't need a tool, which was absolutely vital to the work on my car. They kept saying "Oh no, you don't need that, trust me," after going back and forth for a good 5 minutes I had to show them a picture I took before they would believe me. So glad I took it too! A year later, that part I purchased needs to be replaced under manufacture warranty. I knew this because of the way my car was driving and when I had it with my mechanic, they confirmed that it needed to be replaced. Knowing that it's still under warranty, they told me I should go to the place I got them from and get new ones. Surprise surprise, they question me about if it reallllly needs to be replaced. I'm not sure if I can use curse words to explain these guys, but they're so frustrating to work with. Very disrespectful. I would suggest that no woman shop at this store. Next time I'll try Auto Zone next door.

Unfortunately- horribly disappointed. I have purchased a number of auto batteries and battery…read moretenders from Interstate. Including a battery for my 1991 jaguar XJS. I had purchased a battery in 2018 which failed in 2021. I took it in and I received a discount towards a new battery last summer. I had difficulties with this new battery maintaining a charge, to the point that I always had a battery tender on it.This vehicle is stored through the winter, I check on it monthly if not more. When I checked on it this morning I noticed that the battery had exploded. I took the battery to the 72nd St. location to make a warranty claim. They first implied that I dropped the battery, then stated it was something wrong with the vehicle, then stated there was something wrong with the battery tender of which I purchased from them. In the end they refused to honor their warranty and told me they would sell me a new battery at cost. They tried to tell me the only way a battery would explode is if it were being overcharged. It took me all of 10 seconds to search the Internet to see multiple reasons why an automobile battery would explode like it did. Primarily it's seems when hydrogen and oxygen gases build up because of improper ventilation with in the battery and any ignition occurs - an explosion may result - including if ignition from within the battery. I am oversimplifying but the end result is I purchased a battery last summer worked poorly last summer when I put the vehicle away in the winter and checked on it monthly it was fine until this morning when it had already exploded. Something was wrong with that battery and the company should honor its warranty. I am someone that owns 10 cars and almost all of them have interstate batteries. Now I am removing all of them in part because there must be something wrong with the design of their batteries and the company refuses to honor their warranty.
