Horrible service came to get work done on my 2016 honda accord after getting into an accident got towed by this company and taken to there shop. Was charged 13,450 threw the insurance company they got paid. Car was picked up they did not paint my whole car for starters but let that go. After picking up my car a week after while on the highway my tire comes off. The work was done in properly take it back and the owner says it had nothing to do with them. They had to order parts was telling him again since work was being done the other problem with the car which was the door making a noise every time you open it he tells me he doesn't want to hear a thing. That he has no time such rude people after almost fetting 14,000 for work to be done that was done wrong this is the customer service I was given. read more

This used to be my go-to mechanic, but I'll never go back. I brought my car in to have the air conditioner serviced, and within a minute of arriving, was berated by the owner after telling him I recharged my own AC. "They let you do that?" he said. "I can't believe they let you get away with that." Not sure who "they" were -- maybe the nice people at Autozone? -- I asked him, "What are you telling me?" "I'm not talking Chinese here", he told me. Other guy behind the counter laughs, probably because he thinks his boss is hysterical. Good to know. My boyfriend and I got stuck on the road after his car's clutch gave out. We were originally going to call AAA but it would have taken a long time before they arrived. Instead, we asked for a recommendation from the police and they said Intercontinental Towing is a reputable towing company in the area. We called them up, and within 15 minutes Mike from Intercontinental met us and towed our car. Mike was extremely friendly and kind to us. He gave us a ride to the Harrison train station so we could get back home. The whole process was quick and easy, and I recommend using their service. read more

I used Intercontinental after a collision in my Mazda CX-5. While the car was in the shop I looked at the reviews and began to regret my decision. Turns out there was no point worrying. My car was in and out within the week, including the insurance assessment etc. The work done was excellent. I was in contact with Tom throughout. Despite some of the things I read I could not be happier with the service. I told them I would write a review as I really don't think it's fair to have the odd disgruntled customer put people off. I told these individuals exactly what was wrong the vehicle. I had lost the fob for my car, had purchased another. My car's security system, when locked with the fob, grounds the engine and 'shorts out' a current, stopping all electric current. The only thing to be done was program the car to the fob, which they were capable to do. They kept telling me they haven't be able to figure it out an will take more time which caused me to miss work. They told me to come back the next day. Upon return they said they found the problem, a grounding issue which they could fix with purchase of a new part. I ask them if they programed the fob, and they said yes, but this part needed to be fixed. I replied 'i only asked you to do 1 thing; program the fob'. They continue to convince me to purchase the new item. I took my keys and left, since that day I have had 0 problems. read more

Completely unprofessional. The concept of customer care is unknown to them. These crooks are being contracted to do roadside assistance by major insurances and car clubs. Given initially 45 mins wait time for tow truck to arrive, I gave them a call to check the status after 1hr and was told to wait another 40 mins. After I politely suggested that it would be more than 2 times more that initial estimate, the lady (if I can call her that) on the other side of the line became very rude and agitated and told me that I need to cancel the call and hung up on me. So if you are ever in need of roadside assistance or a tow truck, and your car club or insurance tells you that they are going to dispatch Intercontinental - request another provider. I called there today to see if they could do my photo inspection for my new insurance policy I just got yesterday. I called them by phone first just to confirm and a woman picked up. I spoke like a gentleman and very politely to her. Wow! I have never spoke to a women so rude in my life. The call took place at around 1:35pm and she told me that they only offer the inspections until 2pm, I asked her if I got like in 10 mins will they still be able to help (didn't want to make an unnecessary trip for no reason) and she yelled at me although saying yes. I brushed all of it off because maybe she was just having a bad day and I don't let things like that effect me or my day. After I searched the location on Google Maps (179 Osborn Rd, Harrison, NY), it takes you to the wrong address which is in a nice residential area right off the Hutch (North St exit). So I called the place back and the same women answered phone. I asked her where was the exact location because it's not where Google told to go. She replied extremely rude as if I was an idiot and said I had to put in "Rye, NY" instead of "Harrison, NY" and just hung up on me. So I found the correct address and went there shortly after. Soon as I walked in the office it was 2pm. There was a women sitting at a desk talking to a woman standing there and they were both having a nice conversation. I waited patiently to be acknowledged. Once acknowledged, the woman at the desk looked at me and her whole demeanor changed and she gave me attitude on why I was there and what I needed. It was obvious it was the woman who answered the phone and I recognized her voice. I told her I needed a photo inspection for my car. She turned and looked at the clock and with a bad attitude she says "I told you 2 O'Clock!". I told her that the location on the internet takes you somewhere different so I didn't make it when I thought I could. She got on the phone anyway called the person who would be able to help me and after a very short conversation she hung up the phone and told me "Sorry, everyone just went out to lunch. No one can help you." The lady standing in the office had a smirk on her face just enjoying what was going on. I was in just disbelief how rude the lady at the desk was. She works in a business that is suppose to delivery custom service and I just got a horrible experience of it. As I was getting ready to leave, I told the women that she was really rude on the phone. She replied with a sarcastic apology and with a look of satisfaction that I wasn't able to be helped. I told her I didn't appreciate it as I was a potential customer and also a complete stranger to her. Foul language was exchanged after that and I just walked out of the door. If I was anyone reading this I would NEVER go to this place. Why get treated this way? The owner should be ashamed for having this person as an employee. I don't know if she is a relative of the owner but if this was my business I would have fired her so fast. If you do choose to use their service, GOOD LUCK!!! read more

Absolutely horrific. I always thought that Time Warner Cable was the worst company I ever had to deal with, until I was mistakenly tricked into bringing my car to this scam shop. I had a tow truck sent to my vehicle by All State Motor Club, which was supposed to bring my vehicle to an alternate location. The man who towed the vehicle quoted me at $500-600 to fix an a-frame and control arm, which is what he said was wrong with the car. I accepted this and allowed him to tow my vehicle to this shop. Mistake number one. A couple of days later, this estimate DOUBLED. I agreed to pay this price for them to fix my a-frame and control arm so my vehicle would be able to be driven as I didn't see any other option. I resolved that I would have to put this amount on my credit card because it would be detrimental to my bank account otherwise. When I went to pick my car up, I noted that they also performed a tire rotation. When I simply questioned why a service was performed without my prior approval (as it was never mentioned to me), I was scoffed at. "This is part of the services you were quoted for," they told me. Okay, that's fine, but why was it not mentioned to me beforehand? I inquired further, and then told I no longer would be given the option to pay with credit and was forced to pay over $1000 in cash in order for them to give me my car back. Naturally, any normal human being would be upset, and I of course was. Highly enraged that they would try to force me to pay such a large sum of cash which I realistically could not even afford to do without putting myself in serious financial strain. I would absolutely recommend to anyone with half a brain to never, ever bring their vehicle here to be serviced. They're nasty, rude, and inconsiderate and I am legitimately shocked that they are even still in business. I actually called the police to get involved, and the officer told me this is not the first time a customer has called them to this business. Really? I wish there was an option to give 0 stars, because that's what this company warrants. Despicable. read more

Truly disappointed in my experience here for the first and only time. I truly felt I was ripped off and taken advantage of. I do not recommend any customer to this garage. My car was serviced for one known issue due to a break down. Rather than just fix the issue and let me be on my way, I was told of two other problems that had never existed before entering this garage, one of which, a shifting issue, which suddenly occurred and that it had to be fixed or else it couldn't be driven out of their lot so it was claimed...I never had a shifting problem since owning the car in 2007 but approved them to fix it, which was my fault. They then claimed an engine warning light indicated another problem, which had never appeared before but claimed I must had seen it..As I felt this was questionable and beginning to think it was a scam to get more money out of me I denied them to fix this issue and immediately took it to my regular local mechanic, which charged a $300.00 diagnostic fee. As for the engine warning light issue, I was notified that a fuse, which caused the engine warning light to come on was missing. Because the fuse was removed was why the engine warning light came on...I was also notified that a piece of the shifting console was missing. This part will cost me $400.00 to replace. I was also notified that I now have a tiptronic electronic switch failure, which will cost me $800 to fix. Mysteriously all of the above became issues after this garage worked on my car. I will be looking to file a report to the Better Business Bureau as well. I have never had a mechanic experience like this in my life time and truly hope you do not experience the same. STAY AWAY PLEASE. Based on my experience their ethics and integrity are questionable. read more
