We have had a miserable experience with IntelliDent. Celine Hobbs, regional sales director for IntelliDent, came to our home & solicited us for hail paintless dent repair for our vehicles. She provided us quotes which were later provided to us in writing. We were to pay the insurance amount from our insurer Liberty Mutual, pay our insurance deductible and were to receive a $500 promotional credit from IntelliDent on each vehicle for non-hail related work. $900 of the $1,000 promotional credit was for a paint repair to one vehicle to the hood and fenders including clear coat, replacement clear bra, and manufacturer decal lettering. Celine had been to our home twice & photographed & inspected our vehicles each time. Initially she and a 2nd person came to our home, solicited my husband. The 2nd time she & the 2nd person returned to speak w/ me. I requested everything in writing & said I would not agree to anything w/out firm quotes & written documentation. At the 3rd visit, Annette White told us Celine was quoting us $900 of the $1,000 promotional credit funds for the repainting &clear coating the hood & fenders of our Land Rover Discovery, adhering decal letters on the hood, & installing a clear bra on the hood & fenders. We provided the Liberty Mutual paperwork to Annette. Celine then spoke to me via phone. On 11/16/18, the 4th visit & the day the contract & written materials were provided to us, Annette wrote on the IntelliDent contract documentation re: the $1,000 promotional credit that "$900.00 will be used as follows: $500.00 for repainting hood and fenders. $400.00 clear bra and hood & fenders w/ Land Rover Decal." Annette & the second person who came with her took our cars to IntelliDent on 11/16/18. On Wed. 11/21/18, the day prior to Thanksgiving, I received a call from Celine where she stated the paint job would cost an additional $1,200.00. She stated that her painting shop was more expensive than she had been aware & wanted to know what I wanted to do. She said she was in her car on the way to the airport. I told her not to start any work on either vehicle until this matter was resolved. She left me a voice message later that day that we would speak again on Mon. 11/26/18. I reviewed the written documentation & am angry. Celine provided us the quote for the work after having been at our home twice, after having inspected the vehicles, after having reviewed our Liberty Mutual paperwork for the hail damage repair, & after having ample time to check prices & whatever with her company & with whatever subcontractor with which IntelliDent contracts. My husband & I feel that this was a bait & switch. I telephoned the AG's Consumer Protection Office and the BBB and also tried to reach the IntelliDent corp. office. I found that IntelliDent was not in good standing with the Sec. of State in Colorado & had been considered delinquent for over a year. I tried to find other IntelliDent business locations online to locate the corp. office and each & every one had voice messaging on with no-one picking up their phones during business hours. I finally reached Tyler in Texas & asked him for the corp. phone number & for the phone number of the registered agent & CEO Michael Brown. Tyler asked me what had occurred & suggested that he could assist me. He explained the background of the business & stated that he, Mike Brown, Celine, and Celine's husband Dave, were all from Kansas & were all involved in the IntelliDent business. I explained the situation & he told me that he would call Mike Brown & call me back. Within five to ten minutes Celine telephoned me. She asked me what I had decided & I told her that I had just spoken to Tyler. Apparently Tyler is in San Antonio, TX and per Celine is the "corporate office" for IntelliDent. I told Celine that we (my husband and I) had a contract with IntelliDent & that she had quoted a price. I told her that we had an agreement to do certain work on our vehicles & we wanted that work done. She stated that she had called me (on Wed. 11/21/2018) upon finding out that there was additional work to be done on our Land Rover vehicle. I told her that there was no additional work on the Land Rover & that she provided us a quote which we accepted & that her quote was provided to us after she had inspected our vehicles, had reviewed our Liberty Mutual paperwork & had time to talk to her subcontractors. She kept insisting that she called us immediately upon learning of "new work" to be done & stated that to do the Land Rover would short her and her husband $800. Celine told me that IntelliDent would not be working on our cars & that we needed to retrieve them immediately or we would be charged storage fees & then told me that she would not be available until Wed. 11/28/2018 for us to collect our vehicles. We have filed complaints with the Colorado AG's Consumer Protection department and with the BBB. read more
