The intent of the call was to make the manager aware. He immediately took on the offense and told me that none of his employees could have done this. Quite the statement when he isn't aware of who and when an employee is in the truck. Telling me that my wallet must be somewhere in the truck. Again I stated that the only place my truck had been without me was at this dealership and the wallet is not in the truck. What turned out to be a phone call to make a manager aware, turned into a huge customer disappointment by his response.

I sold my leased 2024 Honda HR-V to the dealership before the end of my lease. The payoff was $16,544, the dealership purchased the vehicle for $17,044, and I received $500. My concern is not that those numbers appeared on the paperwork I signed. My concern is the lack of transparency surrounding the value of my vehicle before I agreed to the $17,044 purchase price. Before completing the transaction, I specifically asked the salesperson what the dealership expected to sell my HR-V for. I was told approximately $18,000-$19,000. I later discovered that the dealership advertised my vehicle for $25,995. I understand that a dealership needs to recondition a vehicle, provide certification/warranty coverage, cover expenses, and make a profit. I never expected to receive the retail asking price. What bothered me was that the information I was given when making my decision was very different from what happened afterward. I contacted management and asked for an explanation of how the $17,044 purchase price was determined and requested the appraisal or valuation used to arrive at that figure. Instead of addressing that specific concern, I was repeatedly told that I had signed and agreed to the purchase price and that the dealership considered the matter resolved. Yes, I signed the paperwork. That has never been in dispute. My concern is whether I was given complete and accurate information before I signed it. This experience left me feeling that the transaction lacked the transparency I expect when doing business with a dealership. I would encourage anyone selling or trading a vehicle here to research its value independently, obtain competing offers, ask to see the dealership's appraisal in writing, and make sure you fully understand the value of your vehicle before signing anything.

When we got home and discovered that our car didn't include a charging cord, we called and spoke with the salesman. His story changed from "it's in the trunk, just look under the spare tire," to "they're not included when you buy the car new," both of which were blatant lies. His final answer (on yet another phone call) was "you bought it as-is, you're out of luck." Got it. Neither manager bothered to return my phone call (even the one who promised me that he would look into it and get back to me). I will never return to this scummy operation.

My complain is how they now handle credit cards. They did not tell me before the work was done that there is a 3% fee for using credit cards. Also, there is no line item on the bill for the credit card fee. I have a credit card receipt that does not match my bill. (Not good if I'm audited.) I asked if I could get a new bill with the credit card fee listed so it will match the receipt. I was told the ticket was closed and there was nothing they could do. Keep this in mind if you plan to use a credit card here!
