Alta Vista that was built in 1967. He also replaced a couple of burned out electrical outlets. John was busy and we had to wait a couple days but he was worth the wait! These guys are very service oriented and know what they are doing. I learned the hard way after having a bad experience with a supposed licensed contractor from Craigslist. Arizona Electric is professional! I will always go back to them if in need of future work! John - at one point - had recommended the owners brother to do some interior work and he spilled varnish all over the garage floor. I was very unhappy with that recommendation and paid the guy he sent less money because of the damage from the varnish that could not be removed. John is such a kind guy he went ahead and paid the brother of the owner the rest of the invoice even though as a subcontractor he did not deserve it. I respect that he works to do good by everyone. And he certainly is a knowledgeable electrician! You pay more but you get more! Call them.

This company was able to respond fast, and they get 3 stars for fixing *most* of it fast. But I hired them to fix all of it, and I paid them over $2.5K for the half day of work. While they were here, when I went out to see what was happening, no one would talk much to me. I'm a woman homeowner and I've found that some companies have workers who talk to me as the intelligent human who hired them, and some haven't figured out how to do that. This company belongs to be the latter category. (No women were on their work team unless you count the receptionist, unsurprisingly.) After they left some of the lights still weren't (and still aren't) working. I left a polite phone message asking for them to come check it out, and quickly got an email - not a phone call - in reply. The email said they will not come back even to look at it without charging me for $125/hour and they won't look at anything until I've paid them in full. (That little threat was sent to me less than 72 hours after this emergency occurred.) They seemed to have a close relationship with TEP, our utility, and it felt very much like working with a utility - not a great deal of customer power or choice.

We discussed the work I needed done on a rental property in Tombstone AZ, and he agreed to meet up with us at the home on the following Saturday. Cliff and his assistant arrived promptly, a little early actually, which was nice. We walked through the property and pointed out what we needed done, which was mostly outlet installs. Cliff gave us several suggestions on good places to install them. A few of our heavy duty appliances had been tripping the breaker, so he explained to us in detail how he could fix that also. To our surprise, he was able to schedule the work to be done within a few days. We don't reside in town so the work needed to be done without us on the premises. During our meeting, he was friendly and felt very trustworthy so we left him our keys to the place and within days he had completed the job. Payment was a breeze and we found his charges quite reasonable. We traveled back to our home a few weeks later, anxious to see the work that was done. What I will say is "WOW!!!" All the outlets were installed as requested, new lines for our mini-split and our troubled appliances going into a different circuit. Then came the test... could we run the washer and dryer at the same time without it tripping? YES!!! I never thought something so simple could bring me such happiness! It is so nice having the peace of mind knowing that the work was completed by someone knowledgeable, efficient, fair and professional. Much better than how we were originally connecting surge protectors to extension cords - no more fire hazard! We found however that the office staff was more difficult to work with. We initially set up our appointment on March 14th at 8AM. When no one arrived or called we phoned the office. Meg apologized and stated that the "old system did not communicate with our new system" so we did not have the appointment set up on their end. I had already paid 1/2 the cost on March 7th and provided proof to Meg. We set up another appointment for 8AM March 14th. On March 14th, again NO CALL NO SHOW. At 8:20AM I called the office. I spoke with Christine who said that the Mike had called in sick that day. Considering we received NO CALL and a 2nd NO SHOW we were not pleased. I asked for a discount on the job, Christine said she would "note that on the account" however SHE DID NOT. Mike & another worker were able to arrive promptly and called prior on Monday March 21st. We did not follow up on the requested monetary cost reduction for our inconveniences, we are moving on. The job was done in a little over 2 hours but initially we were told around 6 hours. Felt like JMAC could have discounted the job but we did not receive any follow up on this request.
