I researched midwives and read home birth stories. After meeting our midwives at Tree of Life, we instantly knew this was our team and I knew I wanted a home birth. Being a first time mom I was nervous because almost all of the home birth stories I read were second or third time moms; I didn't see too many first time home births. Being 36 I also got the "geriatric pregnancy" talk when I met with the OB. I really liked the fact that Tree of Life was a team of midwives. Morgann, Deidra, Giuliana, and Micha were such an incredible team. Each brought their own different knowledge and perspectives to our meetings. Every visit was an hour long and both my husband and I would leave feeling heard and well taken care of. We never felt rushed, and they made sure we knew they were always there for any questions we had. The birth itself was incredible. Deidra and Morgann were the two midwives who attended. They both gave my husband and I unwavering support while also giving us space when needed. I had a small complication during birth, but Morgann did an amazing job of explaining the situation and laying out all the possibilities and options we had. I felt confident making an informed decision that was best for me based on the information Morgann gave me. I ended up having the home birth I'd been dreaming of. We couldn't have done it without them. The care after was exceptional; I swear postpartum would have been much harder without the tree of life team. They were there for any questions we had; and they constantly checked in on us. Saying bye after 6 weeks was probably one of the hardest things we've had to do. I can't recommend this team enough. From start to finish they are truly with you every step of the way. Their encouragement and knowledge is invaluable; and they truly support you making your own informed decisions. I have never felt more taken care of or held than I did in their care.

I don't love the hospital we deliver at but she's so great that I'm not going to switch OB. I did my birth completely natural, no epidural, I got to fully delay my cord clamping and she listened and respected all of my birth wishes and was not pushy or trying to intervene at all when not neccessry. She's super personable and friendly which makes You feel more comfortable delivering your baby with someone like that! My first OB felt like a bully and I immediately switched OBs. The front desk responds so fast and has always helped me getting messages to the nurses or drs, regarding mastitis when I called desperate for help. Front desk is always nice at appointments.

Kelly has been an incredible resource for every concern I've had, from ways to support my recovery to recommendations for other specialists based on my individual needs. When I was facing the possibility of an induction, Kelly suggested that I see someone who could help get labor going, and it worked like a charm! Having an unmedicated birth was really important to me, and Kelly played such a huge role in helping me achieve that goal. She breathed with me through contractions, helped me get into different positions, showed me how to push more efficiently, gave my husband guidance on how he could best support me, and constantly encouraged me and kept me strong when things got really difficult.
