She has a nurse or NP named Lauren that is FANTASTIC!! I called the office as I was on the elective induction list and learned that the hospital was very busy, I knew I wasn't going to get in. I had a Dr.Gonzalez deliver my baby and she was amazing. The things I loved about her is she took her time suturing me back together and made sure I was comfortable. Wonderful experience at Banner Thunderbird.

I'm sharing my experience with North Valley Women's Care so no other expecting mother has to go…read morethrough what I have. I'm preparing to terminate my first pregnancy at 20 weeks after a confirmed Turner syndrome diagnosis. The diagnosis wasn't caused by this office, but their repeated mistakes delayed our testing and results by weeks, making an already devastating experience even harder. 1. My genetic screening bloodwork was lost. At my first appointment, the waiting room was packed and the bathrooms weren't clean. I was nervous, but Dr. Reise was so kind that I left feeling safe and excited about my first pregnancy. I had seven vials of blood drawn, including genetic screening, and scheduled my follow-up and ultrasound for the next month. A week later I received calls and texts saying I still needed bloodwork. I called and was assured everything had been done. At my next appointment, Dr. Reise asked if I wanted genetic testing. I told her I'd already done it, and she said she probably hadn't received the paperwork and would call with my results. Instead, the genetic testing company contacted me to redo the test because they never received my original sample after a month. 2. My ultrasound was never scheduled. At that same appointment, after waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time, I learned the ultrasound I'd arranged was never scheduled. I was told I was now too far along for the planned measurements. As a first-time mom, I didn't know how time-sensitive they were. I trusted this office to know what needed to happen and when. We lost an opportunity for screening that might have raised concerns earlier. 3. Nobody called me about my high-risk results. At 17 weeks, about six weeks later than I'd expected my results, I received an email directly from BillionToOne saying my baby was high risk for Turner syndrome. My husband and I were hysterical. We had no idea what this meant or what to do next. According to my paperwork, the office had received those results more than a week earlier. Nobody had called to explain them or tell us what came next. My husband called repeatedly, sometimes every 10 minutes, and eventually waited on hold for over 45 minutes before reaching a nurse practitioner. During that call, she accidentally revealed our baby's gender, something we'd wanted to find out in our own way. She said she'd send a specialist referral but initially wouldn't give us the office's name or phone number. At 10 a.m., she said she'd do her best to send it before the end of the day. We had to push for the information so we could follow up ourselves. 4. My OB and the office manager never followed up. That day, we went to the office and asked to speak to the manager. In front of us, she told the receptionist she wasn't available and would call later. She never did. It's now been over three weeks since the office received my high-risk results, and I've still never received a call from Dr. Reise or the office manager. Not to explain, check on me, apologize, or even respond to our repeated requests to speak with them. Thankfully, the specialist's office was wonderful. They were attentive and compassionate and showed us what good prenatal care should look like. As first-time parents, we'd assumed what we experienced at North Valley Women's Care was normal. Further testing confirmed Turner syndrome, and we've made the heartbreaking decision to terminate next week at 20 weeks. What I cannot get past is how much time was taken away from us because of this practice's mistakes. I know Turner syndrome wasn't preventable, but these delays were. The missed ultrasound might have raised concerns 6-8 weeks earlier. The missing bloodwork cost us over a month, and the office then sat on our high-risk results for over a week. We can't know exactly when we would have gotten answers, but we lost multiple chances to find out sooner. Instead, I'm facing a termination at 20 weeks, after another month bonding with my baby, watching my belly grow, and planning for a future we now won't have. It's so much harder emotionally and physically, significantly more expensive this far along, and we're getting dangerously close to the legal limits that restrict our options. I can't get that time back. I've read other reviews describing similar problems with results, scheduling, and billing. It feels like this practice has more patients than it can properly care for, and that you're just a number and a dollar sign. So many mistakes, and so many chances to show compassion or accountability that never happened. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, especially first-time moms who don't know what care to expect and think they just need to "suck it up." If you have a high-risk pregnancy or need timely answers, I strongly encourage you to find another practice. Please advocate for yourself and your baby. Follow up on every test and appointment, and don't assume no news means good news. I truly hope no other family goes through what we have.

I waited six weeks just to get an appointment, another week to have the ultrasound, and it has now been more than three weeks since the ultrasound was completed. During that entire time, I have received zero proactive communication from this office. Not one phone call. Not one portal message. Not one update. Every single contact has been initiated by me. Every week I call, I get the same canned response: "The doctor hasn't reviewed your ultrasound yet." Apparently, an ultrasound ordered because of severe pain and abnormal bleeding can simply sit for weeks while the patient is left to suffer. I was told the office manager would call me. That never happened. Just another empty promise from a practice that seems completely incapable of following through on even the most basic aspects of patient care. Meanwhile, I am living with horrific daily abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, and irregular menstrual cycles. Their solution while they let my ultrasound collect dust? A muscle relaxer. Not an answer. Not a diagnosis. Not an expedited review. Just a muscle relaxer that does absolutely nothing to address the reason I'm in pain. To make matters worse, I developed a swollen lump near my lymph node while waiting for someone to review my ultrasound. When I brought it to their attention, I was essentially told it wasn't their problem because it wasn't on my breast and that I should see my primary care physician instead. My primary care physician can't move forward because we are still waiting on the very ultrasound results this office refuses to review. So here I am--stuck in medical limbo because the one office responsible for my care can't be bothered to do theirs. I have a documented family history of cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancers. Whether my ultrasound ultimately shows something serious or not is almost beside the point. No patient should spend weeks wondering if they have cancer while repeatedly begging a medical office to review a test that has already been completed. The emotional toll of this experience has been overwhelming. I am not just frustrated--I am scared. Every day that passes without answers is another day spent wondering whether something serious is being missed while this office does absolutely nothing. This isn't simply poor customer service. This is a complete breakdown in communication, accountability, and basic patient care. A medical practice should never leave patients chasing their own results, making repeated phone calls that go nowhere, receiving broken promises from management, and suffering without a plan while everyone shrugs and says, "The doctor hasn't reviewed it." If this is how they treat a patient with severe symptoms who is actively calling for help, I can't imagine how many other people have been left waiting and wondering. I would not trust this office with my healthcare again, and I strongly encourage anyone considering becoming a patient here to ask themselves one question: If you were in severe pain and worried you might have a serious gynecologic condition, would you want your ultrasound sitting unreviewed for more than three weeks while no one from the office even bothers to call you back? I know my answer.

When we were finally seen, the doctor spent less than 5 minutes with us, asked almost no meaningful questions, and never performed or scheduled an anatomy ultrasound despite my wife being over 20 weeks pregnant. We left feeling rushed, dismissed, and genuinely concerned about the quality of care. The office staff and management only made things worse. They were consistently rude, disorganized, and nearly impossible to reach. Calls were rarely answered, messages weren't returned, and we spent months trying to resolve a billing issue. We paid around $1,000 out of pocket because our insurance didn't cover the visit. After deciding to leave the practice due to the poor care, we were promised a $650 refund. Instead, we only received about half of that after months of calling multiple times a week and even making trips to the office in person. Every time we managed to reach someone, we were told, "You'll get your money back in about a week." That never happened. The billing situation was unbelievably unprofessional. After repeatedly asking to speak with the billing department and getting nowhere, one of the front desk employees admitted there wasn't even a billing department anymore because the two people who handled billing were no longer with the practice. Yet when I went into the office, they still acted as if someone from billing was available, saying things like, "Let me get someone from billing to help you." We were given multiple manager and staff extensions, but no one ever answered or returned calls. The lack of communication, accountability, and honesty was beyond frustrating. This was one of the worst experiences we've ever had with a medical office. We regret not reading the reviews beforehand. If you value your time, your money, and quality prenatal care, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

He is a great, thorough physician with great bedside manner. He made sure I got all of the prenatal care I needed with an extensive family history of cardiac issues, and he made me feel safe and secure the entire time while being pregnant during a pandemic. Although it wasn't ideal that visitors were extremely limited due to COVID, they followed the CDC guidelines, and as a pregnant woman whose health is more vulnerable, I could appreciate the extra safety precautions the office took. It was nice to meet the other physicians in the practice (who were just as kind!) prior to delivery. The office also has the convenience of a lab on site, so no need to travel to an outside clinic to get blood work done. It's a beautiful, clean office and I've never felt like I was not taken care of there. During my delivery, Dr. Culbertson was calm and collected the entire time, and patiently explained all my options as my baby wasn't dropping. We went with a cesarean section and although this wasn't the original plan, he gave me many options and totally made me feel comfortable with each and every one of them. I chose to go forth with the cesarean, and I was definitely nervous, but he kept me at ease the entire time and delivered my baby safely. I am soooo beyond thankful to Dr. Culbertson and will continue to see him and I will refer him until I'm blue in the face. I just want to note--it means something when MANY nurses go to the same practitioner. To know and trust someone, and give him a referral is a big deal. And I know many nurses across the entire hospital in many different units who use him as their primary OB/GYN. He's wonderful!!!!

Every single time I went in, the staff was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Appointments they claimed were scheduled were not actually booked, which created unnecessary stress and confusion. I constantly had to advocate for myself because no one clearly explained what appointments I was there for or what was supposed to happen next. The insurance issues were also a nightmare. I am a veteran and receive maternity care through the VA. Their office spoke directly with my VA maternity care coordinator, yet I still had problems with my insurance at almost every visit. Instead of trying to help or find a solution, the attitude I got was basically, "Sorry, nothing we can do." That is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a pregnant patient in a vulnerable position. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I actually started canceling appointments because going into that office caused me more stress than reassurance. There were days I left in tears. The front desk staff showed no empathy, no professionalism, and no willingness to do anything beyond the bare minimum. As for Dr. Bruce, I did not have major issues with him personally, but I did feel dismissed at times. I understand insurance and front desk problems are not directly his job, but they are happening in his office, under his name. When I brought up issues, I did not feel like anyone cared enough to address them. I also had extremely severe varicose veins during pregnancy. Dr. Bruce did not seem very concerned, and I had to push to get a referral. When I finally saw the vein specialist, she was very concerned and told me they were the worst veins she had seen in about 20 years. Overall, I left this office feeling unsupported, dismissed, and stressed during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. I wish the people working there cared more about the type of care they are supposed to be providing. Pregnancy is already overwhelming. Patients should not have to fight the front desk, fight insurance confusion, and fight to be taken seriously at every visit.

I went to my appointment at 40 weeks, and we decided to schedule another appointment for the following week to discuss the option of induction if the baby did not come. When the baby didn't arrive, I went for my appointment, but the receptionist informed me that Dr. Brotsky had gone on vacation and wouldn't return for a week. I understand that people have lives, but this information hadn't been communicated to me, and I was 41 weeks pregnant. I felt abandoned. I wanted to speak with a nurse practitioner at least to ensure the baby's safety, but they told me I didn't need to talk to anyone and instructed me to call the hospital in three days to schedule an induction. I experienced a lot of anxiety waiting for the baby and having no backup plan. Three days later, the hospital called me and asked me to come in within 40 minutes because apparently, Dr. Brotsky had scheduled an induction for me, but no one had informed me. We rushed to the hospital. Dr. Brotsky returned for the birth even though I had been told she was gone for a week. After practicing pushing with her a few times, she left me with the nurse. I had an epidural so I was not feeling contractions and the monitor was not working and not reading them. I was pushing but not making progress. When I asked Dr. Brotsky to come back, she responded with, "How can I help you?" when I was so vulnerable and needed guidance and support. Once she arrived, my baby was born in 20 minutes. So she could have helped by simply doing her job!!! I am grateful that both my baby and I are healthy, but I couldn't have the birth I had envisioned because of poor communication and planning. I don't recommend Dr. Brotsky. While she seems to care, it feels insincere, and in reality, she does not seem to prioritize her patients' needs.
