Dr. Brotsky was my doctor, and I thought that we had a good relationship and were on the same page up until the 40th week. I went to my appointment at 40 weeks, and we decided to schedule another appointment for the following week to discuss the option of induction if the baby did not come. When the baby didn't arrive, I went for my appointment, but the receptionist informed me that Dr. Brotsky had gone on vacation and wouldn't return for a week. I understand that people have lives, but this information hadn't been communicated to me, and I was 41 weeks pregnant. I felt abandoned. I wanted to speak with a nurse practitioner at least to ensure the baby's safety, but they told me I didn't need to talk to anyone and instructed me to call the hospital in three days to schedule an induction. I experienced a lot of anxiety waiting for the baby and having no backup plan. Three days later, the hospital called me and asked me to come in within 40 minutes because apparently, Dr. Brotsky had scheduled an induction for me, but no one had informed me. We rushed to the hospital. Dr. Brotsky returned for the birth even though I had been told she was gone for a week. After practicing pushing with her a few times, she left me with the nurse. I had an epidural so I was not feeling contractions and the monitor was not working and not reading them. I was pushing but not making progress. When I asked Dr. Brotsky to come back, she responded with, "How can I help you?" when I was so vulnerable and needed guidance and support. Once she arrived, my baby was born in 20 minutes. So she could have helped by simply doing her job!!! I am grateful that both my baby and I are healthy, but I couldn't have the birth I had envisioned because of poor communication and planning. I don't recommend Dr. Brotsky. While she seems to care, it feels insincere, and in reality, she does not seem to prioritize her patients' needs. read more

Dr. Brotsky is by far the best doctor I've ever encountered. I've had two children, both delivered by Dr. Brotsky, both unplanned c-sections. From the moment we met her she met us with kindness and love. Finding a doctor as a same-sex couple is always a little scary, but she made us feel like family. Not to mention her professionalism and knowledge made us feel safe. By the way, the entire staff at Pinnacle Women's is just as loving. Dr Brotsky delivered 2 of my babies and my experience both times was Amazing! My first baby came on his own, my second I was induced for at 42 weeks. I felt she listened and thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns - and I felt comfortable in both situations because of that. She delivered my 2nd when she wasn't even on call and I was so glad -- She truly takes such good care of her patients and you can tell she loves her job! I have always felt comfortable in the office with all the nurses and PAs, they never do anything without asking you first and making sure you understand and are comfortable. 10/10 recommend this office and Dr Brotsky! read more

Sorry Dr Brotsky I couldn't get through your receptionist to book with you. Couldn't even get through booking I have had the same insurance for almost 10 years same ID number ect before I called to book my appointment I called my insurance provider to make sure that Dr Brotsky was "in network" everything checked out good to go! Upon calling the first worlds out of my mouth were "I'm a new patient and id like to schedule a yearly with Dr Brotsky." So she asks if I've been there before . . . No I'm a new patient. On to the insurance: She seemed VERY concerned about verifying my insurance. I gave her all the info, name, DOB, ID # ect and assured her that just minutes prior I was on the phone with my insurance. On to making the appointment: "we can get you in Thursday or with a nurse practitioner on the 19th" "I'll do Thursday" (thinking that would mean with Dr Brotsky given the wording). She told me I need to fax or bring in my insurance card to verify before she could make the appointment, I was surprised at this and asked "oh I can't even make the appointment?" She corrected and said she could but that I would need to fax or bring in a copy of insurance for the appointment. I assured her I would bring it in with me for my appointment and she told me that I need to bring it in PRIOR to my appointment for verification. Ok in all my 10 years of making appointments for myself, my husband, AND my daughter I have never run into this. "ok well just make the appointment and I'll make sure I get you the copies before I come in Thursday, so Thursday with dr Brotsky?" Her "no you're with the nurse practitioner" at this point I'm just kinda done so im ok with that. As were about to get off the phone she said "well why don't we push it to the 19th to give you more time to bring in your insurance card" Ok up until this point I was patient and kind but COME ON!! I know this is not a normal process for making an appointment after that whole disaster I called at another well rated Gyno close and it took less than 2 minutes gave them my info and boom an appointment. You are doing your patients a HUGE disservice with your poorly trained staff FIX IT! read more

I have had 6 children at 5 different places...and my two absolute best birth experiences were the only two repeats- Thunderbird Hospital with Dr. Brotsky. Dr. Brotsky is truly the best doctor, of any type, that I have worked with. She makes me feel sincerely cared for and heard. She is funny and kind, while also knowledgeable and helpful. She takes great care of me and I can't recommend her enough! read more

AMAZING!! With all of the troubles I had switching insurance because of a move from CA to AZ, I almost gave up on any prenatal care. I'm from Surprise, AZ and Premier for Women was AWFUL so I searched outside of Surprise. Dr. Brotsky is 20-25 minutes away from where I live, but I would drive 2 hours for her to be my doctor after meeting her just last week. Like I said AMAZING! Front office was thorough, welcoming, and polite. The back staff works so well as a team that I was able to have all of my lab work done (no pain), a 7 months worth of catch-up ultrasound, schedule my c-section, AND Dr. Brotsky listened to and answered every single question and every concern I could think of in the same visit. I even got a follow-up call. I wish they all could be like Dr. Brotsky and her office team. read more

Loved being put on hold for 11 mins before I could even talk to someone! ......wanted to switch my OB as I had moved and am 33 weeks along. The person that answered when I had called back was rude to say the least. I asked how long of a wait office visits typically were and couldn't get a straight answer but when she went to schedule my appt for 1:45 I told her I had to pick my child up at 2:30 and then she said well it shouldn't take longer then 30 mins for your appt.... ok then why wasn't that the answer I was given the first time I asked.... I think I'll be choosing a different OB as I'm not impressed with the service I was given at all... read more

Dr brotsky is amazing. She has been my gynecologist for over 10 years. I saw her as my ob when I got pregnant and wouldn't trust anyone else. She delivered both of my children and has been there through a miscarriage as well. She's always comforting in good times and in bad. She is there for her patients and makes herself available to be there at majority of her patients births. She would drop anything to be there and even on some days that she's not even on call. FIVE STARS for Dr. Brotsky. My experience there however has been absolutely ridiculous. I waited over an hour and a half for my appointment and the girl next to me said she had been waiting for over two hours. Unfortunately my situation required medication and as I was leaving Dr. Brotsky ensured me my prescription would be called in right away. Three hours later I go to Walgreens to pick it up and they have nothing called in for me. I called the office and they told me they forgot and needed the Walgreens phone number. This was after I left a voicemail too prior to check on it with no call back. Walgreens later calls me to let me know it's ready only to realize they didn't call in the pain medication that the Dr said I would most definitely need. So I call back to Dr. Brotsky's office where they said "oh, we should have you a prescription here as we can't call it in over the phone". As much as I LOVED the doctor, the staff completely ruined it for me and I'll be finding a new office. Update: I told a friend of mine this and she said she also had a two hour wait time and will be looking for a new doctor. read more

I had been given several references for Dr. Brotsky which influenced me to see her as my new OB/GYN. I have found when you hear good things from that many random individuals it is a good thing. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Brotsky. She has a fantastic bed side manner. She was kind, compassionate, and explained everything very well. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Brotsky and this office. She is THE BEST. Super relatable and caring. The NPs are also amazing. I feel like everyone here truly cares about women and their health. They take their time with you and listen to you. The only bad thing is their appointment times usually run late. Probably because they take such great care and time with each patient. Go in knowing that youll probably be seen a little later than your appointment time. It's worth the wait!!! read more

When I first met Dr. Brotsky 4 years ago, I strongly considered switching to her as my OB when I was pregnant with my first. I had only heard good things about her, but didn't for reasons I can't really explain why. I just didn't. Fast forward to 2015, I am pregnant with my 2nd child and once again almost switched to her with an intention to VBAC (Vaginal Birth After C section), but the thought came and went- I stuck with the same OB who delivered my first, Dr. Erickson. In trial of labor with a VBAC, risks in labor must be stated, which my doctor had done very clearly; as well as talking to me about risks for a repeat c section as well. In labor with my second child, dr brotsky was the dr on call and I thought, well that's fine, because she's very sweet and I've only heard good things! I got to the hospital with broken waters and had been laboring at home for as long as possible, but no where near as long as ACOG says it is still safe (ACOG says 48 hours is considered safe). Upon her arrival, she told me I had done nothing to get labor going (lie, and she can't tell me what I had been doing at home), she told me I was a horrible patient for TOLAC- (Trial Of Labor After C Section, scare tactic) even though my current OB had been exceptionally supportive, and told me I was going to kill my child for attempting TOLAC. She demanded I get a repeat c-section and to start antibiotics immediately. Myself, and baby had been handling contractions beautifully, so I asked that we just start the antibiotics and just go from there and allow me to labor. She did not like my response and demanded once again I get a repeat Caesarean regardless of ACOG recommendations to allow women TOLAC with risk of uterine rupture is less than 1%. I once again repeated myself, to let's start with antibiotics and go from there. Dr. Brotsky then started to get feisty and asked me "what are you going to do WHEN you give your baby an infection and kill him?" Not IF; WHEN. I had already agreed to antibiotics, so from there, I asked her to leave the room so I could simply discuss my options with my doula and my fiancé. She shook her head and scoffed at me and began to walk out of the room; only to immediately storm back in and ask me "would you like me to leave the hospital, or would you like to leave signing AMA?" (Forcing me to leave AMA is illegal). I once again very calmly asked her to leave the room so I could discuss my options with my fiancé and doula. She finally stormed out, and I asked the nurses to ensure she did not come back into my delivery room. Antibiotics were given, and I went on to have a successful VBAC later that morning. It is very upsetting when you hear such wonderful things about a young, female doctor, only to find yourself bullied by her. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one she has treated this way and I am completely and utterly disgusted with the way she tried to force me into an unnecessary repeat c section (major abdominal surgery). Hindsight is 20/20 and she is a complete bully to those who don't take her word as the final say. I am grateful for the OB I chose, Dr. Erickson, for supporting me in every aspect of my pregnancy, labor and delivery. read more

I absolutely love Dr Brotsky. She is very caring and very thorough in everything she does. I truly believe my daughter wouldn't be here with me today if it was not for her quick thinking and knowledge. I would recommend her to anyone! She is very busy so you do have to be patient and understanding sometimes. You have to realize you would want her to do for you what she does for the patient that made her appt run late. As a Doula, I support clients all over the valley and see all different OB's and Midwives. Dr. Brotsky is absolutely one of the most caring, patient, and empowering OBGYN's I have ever met. She supported my client's birth vision the entire time and pushed her to follow through with her goals, even missing a flight to stay and support her through 4 hours of pushing. Love her in every way. If she wasn't busy all the time I would question her dedication to her patients. People want it all : their doctors 100 attention and nothing else. However they don't seem to realize they aren't the only patient. I would wait for her any day know that the only reason she ran behind is because she was delivering a baby. Fine with me since I know I wanted the same. Her office manager could use some help it seems as its definitely not the best run practice. I put up with it for the doctor. If I could give Dr.Brotsky 100 stars I would. She is everything a provider should be ! There is just something about her that makes you feel calm and atease. She always has a smile on her face. She takes her time with you and listens to every worry, or concern. She remembers details about you and your family which makes you feel like a friend not just a patient. For me it's the small things that separate at good provider from a GREAT provider. She handles situations with such professionalism and always has a smile on her face. Young doctor. Prescribed medication to me before getting test results back. Weeks later, found out test was negative and I didn't need the medication. Had a previous extra test that I don't think I needed either. That's not the kind of dr. I want even though she's nice with good bedside manner. read more

I have referred multiple people to her and they have all felt the same way. It is a bit hard to get in for an appointment but with someone this good that is expected.
