My husband had made a big mistake when he tried to assemble the desk and damaged it badly. Eric understood the situation immediately. He was friendly and kind, and even funny, saying he would get my husband out of the hot water. And, man, did he do that and so beautifully!! He had one of his employees, Minh Tran, come the very next day, which was yesterday as I write this, and he was fabulous, as Eric told me he would be. Minh is everything you would ever want in assembling and repairing a damaged new desk. He was not only kind, friendly and smart, he was extremely competent and knowledgeable about what was needed (which was a LOT), but he was also a real perfectionist, earnest about doing the best job he could. He even provided an extra bracket to strengthen a section that, ideally, the seller should have included in the purchase. I would choose them again in a heartbeat!

Not many want to deal with a pivot door - let me tell you; Eric and the team were willing to take on the challenge. It was a job that required engineering prowess, research and creativity. I would highly recommend them to those needing home repair/improvement work.

Their quote technically expired after 30 days, so no issues and wouldn't work with them now anyway, but would have appreciated a more proactive communication and some appreciation for the fact that their service area changed with no notice (and they knew they had an outstanding bid in the area they no no longer serve). For sure they get to take whatever work they want, but my experience was overall not great.

So, I decided to get the entire interior painted this spring. After reading reviews on the Willow Glen e-List recommendation page, and checking yelp, I decided to call Pride Painting based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I met with them to do the quote and they were thorough. They quote came in and it was right in line with what I was willing to pay. So, I hired them. They seemed like good people and I felt like they were really paying attention to what I wanted. They patiently waited for me to try and match one color for days, and were helpful in selecting a new paint when we didn't get an exact match. Overall, they did an amazing job and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs painting done. They were patient, reliable and did high quality work. Also, I have curved ceilings in the family room and dining room. When we bought the house they were the same color as the walls. So, the next painter did the same. Jose and Lou suggested I paint them white, like normal rooms. So, I tried it and WOW - what a difference. It has made a huge improvement in the look and feel of the room. I was so impressed with their knowledge and suggestion - they aren't just painters, they care about the overall feel and look of their work. I highly recommend them!!

My Story: Hiring Bow's to install a large Milgard 4-panel…read moresliding glass door was a costly and frustrating mistake. My wife was nearly in tears because she could neither close nor lock the door! What was done wrong? This contractor installed the unit to the existing house framing without checking plumb (vertical alignment) - which changed significantly over the 12 foot span of the door. Milgard sent a service rep. Since vertical alignment was so different at the two ends of the unit, the rep could not fix problems. After two (2) follow-up discussions, Bow's showed no willingness to correct issues. Excuses, but no rework. Next, I hired someone else to remove the door and correctly reinstall it. The door now works great and looks much better! This person correctly installed interior trim pieces that Bow's thought were unneeded exterior pieces. Bottom Line: - If you want something done right in your own home, I suggest looking elsewhere. - If you want a great finished appearance, look elsewhere. - If you need a quick fix to flip a property, you might ask Bow's to bid.
