I have no complaints about the fence. They finished everything in one day. With that said, I am deducting a star because the crew tripped my breaker box. They plugged in a battery (Milwaukee? It was red. See photo) to the outlet I had a licensed contractor install to a recent closet extension in my backyard. I'm not sure how they even found that outlet as it's not close to the shared fence and is hidden by the A/C unit. I'm also not sure why they were that deep in my backyard when they were just supposed to be working on installing the new fence. If they had simply asked for permission to plug in the battery, this wouldn't have been an issue. I saw the battery charging as I was checking on the progress of the fence throughout the morning and thought nothing of it. It wasn't until that evening where I noticed that all the outlets in the back room didn't work that I started questioning the reason for the outage. After racking my brain and attempting to reset the breaker box, it dawned on me that it was because one of the workers was charging their battery. I don't know the voltage of the battery that they were charging, but it was too much for that outlet. They should've just used an outlet from my neighbor.

Called the company and…read morethey would not fix the post but will instead put a sister post next to it to brace it for $900. I had an independent contractor replace the center Post for $500. This involved taking down the fence around the post, and removing the concrete bottom and failing post. Turned out that the culprit was termites invading from the bottom of the post and weakening it. Apparently the concrete bottom did not cover the bottom of the post.

I was so happy with the quality and value of our new fence that I retained Chris/ACA for a major fence repair at my mother's house (9 failing posts needed buddy posts, but thanks to skillful work by ACA none of the planks needed replacing). I didn't think twice before contacting Chris when I had a problem with a different section of fence at our house. Chris went out of his way to install buddy posts where the existing post bases had rotted out, even though he had to jackhammer out a section of the concrete pad in the tiny space between the shed and the fence in order to dig the shaft for the new post and place the piling correctly. Backbreaking labor, time constraints and difficult problems that would have had a lesser craftsman refuse the job - nothing stopped Chris from doing the job skillfully, perfectly and for a very reasonable price. ACA gave us comparable pricing on their quotes, but even if there price was the highest, the quality of their work far outshines that of the other fencing contractors I've had to work with for my mom's place, for our house and for a rental property. I would think myself a fool for considering anybody else for a fencing job now. ACA is a small business and they are very busy with jobs, so plan ahead and ask for your quote far enough in advance that a slight wait doesn't affect your job. If you want good value and long lasting build quality, you'll be able to be patient enough to get into Chris' schedule and you'll be so glad that you did!

We knew they would need to break part of our sidewalk to complete the installation, and we were told it would be repaired professionally. Instead, the concrete was left rough, uneven, and unfinished. The worker didn't even bring a concrete float to smooth the surface, leaving it as a permanent eyesore. Even more concerning, one of the new fence posts isn't actually set into the ground. They appear to have relied on a single post for structural support while the other serves only as a cosmetic piece. That is unacceptable workmanship for a professional fencing contractor. Another newly installed fence post was left with a large mound of exposed concrete around the base. No form was used to create a clean, finished appearance. It looks incomplete and unprofessional. The most frustrating part is what happened afterward. I made numerous phone calls, sent multiple text messages, and provided several photos documenting the issues. Despite all of that, no one returned to correct the work. There was no meaningful follow-up and no effort to stand behind their workmanship. We hired a professional company expecting professional results. Instead, the quality of the work was so poor that we likely would have been better off hiring a handyman for a fraction of the cost. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Meza's Fence. I suggest looking at other companies that take pride in their work and stand behind the services they provide.

We went with Marquez Fencing because they were very knowledgeable and responsive. Their team came on time, answered all our questions, got our feedback and approval before proceeding with any changes, and was done in a day. Our fence and gate look great, exactly as the mockup Rick provided. The materials were great also. We now have a higher and sturdier retaining wall. The crew arrived on time and immediately began work on demolishing the old fence and then digging posts and construction of the new fence. It took all day, but by 5pm they were finished!
