This is going to be long.. but please read! Do not hire these people! We had our bathtub, not the bathroom, our bathtub replaced. They wanted to charge over $15,000. So once we settled on an amount, they told us that the contractors would come and it'll be about 2 days.. no problem. Well, that is where the nightmare started. These men showed up and after day 1, nothing was done. Lots of banging going on, but nothing to show. Day 2, bath tub finally comes out. They replaced piping, the floor and put the tub in. Day 3, the piping was wrong so they had to keep putting shark bites on them. They kept leaving and coming back with more parts. There was at least 10 shark bites on the pipes. Day 4, They slapped on some acrylic walls. Day 5, they decided to check the water to see if anything leaks. Well, EVERYTHING leaked. So they decided to glue the spots that were leaking to show that it "stopped". Day 6, 7 and 8, since I told them the walls were terrible, they need to do it again. Day 9, they slapped more glue to the walls, then came to me with a paper and demanded that I sign it so they could leave. These men were over 6'5" and I was the only one home. My husband was at work. So, instead of looking at the work, I signed it, got them out, locked the door, and called Install America crying. They said they would send someone else out. That same day, my husband realized a pair of $150 hunting boots were missing and a $100 speaker. We told Install America and they took money off to teplace these things but it still wasn't enough. We don't feel secure in our home now. This happened in August of 2022. To this day, we are still seeing other things stolen like a charm that my husband got me on our wedding day. The necklace was broken so the charm was in my jewelry box, well, it's gone. They were in our bedroom. I don't know when they were able to get in there, but they did. They stole my husbands stuff from the garage. Never will we ever use them again. After this all, we found negative reviews and it was really bad. Not sure if they delete them or hide them but there are bad reviews. DO NOT USE INSTALL AMERICA! They also told us to not write a bad review. read more

This company is one of a hell nightmare roofing company, the quality of work is poor and they depend on subcontractors to provide a good quality work, the communication in this company is one of the worst and the contract and the verbal agreement does not match, deceit and lack of responsibility to add the notes with the owner specifics, the correct estimate for the square footage and scope of area that needed to work on. The constant delayed of completion due to the lack of roofing materials that suppose to be ordered. The poor quality and damage to my property was not I expected. Avoid this company, really unethical!! I'd give them zero stars if I could. I contacted them for their so-called "free quote" that you see advertised. Brian came out. I told him I wanted a rubber roof installed with quality and warranty that when I pass, my children feel worry-free. He promised me they'll use the best rubber on the market and the warranty is a "Lifetime, transferable" warranty and that as long as the house is standing, the warranty is good. I also told him I didn't want to have to worry about being the one to get any permits. Brian said, "We handle all of that". He wouldn't give a quote and I asked him for the specs and a copy of the warranty. He said, "We don't do that. You'll get all of that when you sign a contract" and kept pushing a contract. Thinking I'll get the information within the three day period (they only gave me 2 1/2 days, b.t.w.), I signed the contract. No information, specs nor copy of the warranty came and I couldn't get in touch with them. Finally, I got in touch with "Jim". He told me Brian, the sales rep was mistaken... The rubber that they'll use is NOT the best like I wanted, but he WILL use the better rubber if I insist and charge me additional to the price agreed on. Also, the warranty IS NOT lifetime nor transferable, but only a 15-20 year type. Also I'm responsible for obtaining any permits needed. I told him he better have a talk to his sales people about what they sell and be up-front about things, this sounds like a "bait and switch" action on their part and fraud, promising one thing and then changing it after a contract is signed. There might be a problem but I WILL NOT deal with a company this unethical and willing to defraud their customers. These mf'ers just quoted me at 5.7K to replace 3 corner pieces of siding. They are 30 dollars each at home depot. Stay away from these scammers. Although I explained that I was not married and that my partner worked various hours due to the nature of his job and that my partner and I discussed everything before hiring a contractor, the marketing manager who was at my home would not provide the free estimate. He said his company would call to re-schedule. They did not. So I did. After scheduling a day and time and making sure my partner could attend, they did not confirm and did not show up. A person came out to examine our bathroom for the installation of a soaking tub. First, I experienced the same issue as other married women on here, they refused to come out unless my husband was there to approve. This bathroom upgrade is my project. I am a 40 year old adult woman. I don't need his permission. Anyway--- I have been shopping around extensively, as many places offer varying options. I was very straightforward with the person who came in, letting them know we had several other people coming this week and we would make a decision by Monday. This was before we even started. The person took some measurements and then wanted to discuss upgrading the walls of our shower. Our bathroom was redone by the house's previous owners (less than one year ago) so it doesn't really need new walls, but if they were reasonable, we had no problem listening to what they wanted to say. We discussed, and they had a very small selection of tubs, but I picked one. They then had an extensive selection of walls, and the like. We kind of made a decision because that was not what we really wanted, we just wanted a tub. The person then slaps us with a $14,000 price tag, and it would be $16,000 if we extended the wall to the ceiling. Then, the person refuses to give us a paper quote. To be honest, we had one contractor tell us less than this to completely remodel two of our bathrooms, so I was totally floored. I asked the person how much just installing the bathtub would be, and they got very aggressive, saying that in their professional opinion I need the walls. I told them I wanted just the tub price to compare. The person then told me it would be at least $16,000 to just install the tub, if not more. They then began to pressure me to make a decision right then, saying they couldn't just give it to me at this price, and what was holding me back, etc. I politely but firmly told them the decision would be coming Monday, as we told them when they got here. The person began crying before storming out of the house. Look, I'm no Karen. I get a lot of professionals in my home and I've never made them cry by questioning their cost. Tried to get an estimate for window replacement, they would not send a rep out if my spouse was not present.Why on earth would you refuse to deal with a person willimg fo spend money, just because the spouse is not available due to schduling conflicts? It seems to me they pursue this tactic to eliminate the " I have to talk to my significant other" and pressure you to sign on the line right away. This company is horrible. Zero communication. Had a roof done and siding and windows. The windows were trimmed terribly. I had to go over them with a representative and show them how they looked. They left the windows dirty and smudged and gave no explanation on how to operate them. They also ordered the wrong siding for the house. The siding is not in the corner pieces either. There was no communication from them as to when they would be out to the house to install the product. Only one roofer spoke English which was difficult. They left roofing nails in the grass and in the street. The salesman was pushy and wanted the sale before the end of the month so he could make his numbers. He wanted to remodel a bathroom and when I told him what I wanted he told me not to do that and he had better ideas. This Company did my roof. They did a terrific job! great price. A salesperson came to house he was knowledgeable patient with me and answer all my questions truthfully. They gave me an honest estimate. The installers came out and they went above and beyond everything I expected. The original estimate had only 8-10 boards needing to be replaced, as they got into the job they found that it really needed over 30 sheets increasing the job by a few thousand dollars. Money which I didn't have. To finished the roofing job, I was frantic but they called me not to worry the would finish the job. and they were true to their word. They finished the job with great craftsmanship. They absorbed the extra cost of boards and labor. Making my wife and very happy and eased our worried minds. THANK YOU INSTALL AMERICA!! We bought new windows from you on 4-3-16. We bought four double hung windows, and two sliders. We have no problems with the double hung windows, but the sliders allow a great amount of cold air to come into the house. No one explained to us, the sliding windows were not as efficient as double hung windows. If they had, we would certainly have chosen all double hung windows. Furthermore, I can't believe all sliding windows allow this much air to pass through them, we have had ice form on the inside of our windows. There were some other issues we had during this process, but most of those were taken care of. The real issue now is, we have windows that are less efficient than the original windows from when the house was built. Clearly, this is not what we were expecting when we purchased these windows. So my question is, what do we do from here? They came out a few times to add some felt to the windows, but we still have ICE in our home. read more

We work and don't know if anyone ever came but were still Picking up nails 4 months later. Now, here in august, we just had a powerful stormy weekend. Our gutters which were cleaned out prior to roof being done, were falling off from the rain and pooling in my yard from gutters. Turns out the clean up crew never cleaned out the debris from replacing roof. My gutters were full of broken shingles and plywood and nails. My husband cleaned everything out and I messaged the company with pictures of debris in gutters. All day emails back and forth saying they're sending someone out tomorrow. My reply is can you call me because my husband did the clean up and I need to discuss damage to my gutters. No calls just a back and forth email game. I got one call back and they just left me a voicemail. I have not yet spoken to a manager or supervisor. I was happy with how roof came out and how fast... but the customer service now that we have a problem... completely unsatisfied and upset. Unfortunately the money we saved up to remodel our bathroom now has to go towards buying a hearing aid because I am sure I heard the "salesman" quote us $20,500 to install one standard size bathtub and three walls. Checked the price of a new bathtub and three walls at what he called El Cheapo Home Depot, and the cost was $1,200. Usually the cost of install is about what the product cost, so even if we paid a contractor twice the average install price, Install America was about 3 x more. That actually was not the worst part of the night. As many other reviews stated the same thing, it was almost impossible to get him to leave after we said, no. Well, we can get you in some program where you refer your neighbors and when they get work from them, our price would go down. But, we CANNOT tell the neighbors the discounted price. Sure, Girl Scout honor, I won't tell them the price we got, but I will tell them it was a ridiculously high price. At this point the only program I want to be in is a witness protection program, but as relentless as this salesman was, he would probably still find us. Again, we tell him to leave and now he wants to put us on speakerphone with his boss, we say, NO, he proceeds to tell us that he will now probably get fired. Well, I felt like saying, now is not a bad time to get fired because everyone is looking for people to work so you won't have a hard time finding a new job. He gets up finally, but no, there is more, he is a single divorced dad with a kid. Well guess what, were retired people who worked all our lives and were not going to let some scam of a company scam us out of our hard earned money. FINALLY, he does start to leave which is good for him because honestly my next move was to tell him he could either leave on his own, or I would have the State Police help him leave. Had new windows installed, they did not put insulation back around the frames. I could not beleive when we pulled the casing off from the window to see why it was so drafty that we could see the sunlight coming through the gaping cracks around the frame. We did receive a call that they would come to look at the issues but of course it was a no call no show.... Still have plastic over one window that was forced in and will not close or lock. Please beware. I wish I could say you get what you pay for but it cost me 7000.00 for poorly installed windows. read more

I had a perfect experience with Install America from beginning to end. They replaced my fascia, soffits and gutters. Everyone from sales, office staff and guys performing the work were friendly, courteous, and truly listened to any concerns I had regarding my project. The price was also comparable to another quote I received, but AM's service was so much better! I put a lot of importance on punctuality and showing up when someone says they are going to. I have had so many contractors flake out on me in the past, but AM's people always showed up when scheduled, and on time! My father in law stopped over yesterday to see the work, and now HE wants to hire them for his next project. I will most likely use them again for my next remodeling project. read more

Felt like a scam to me. Got connected through Home Advisor for a new roof. The sales rep gave a nice presentation about the company and the roof system- good stuff and then gave me a price of $37,000, which then came down to 24K if I put a sign on my lawn and then to 21K. August of last year Install America installed windows and a door. since then have been calling because of the shotty job they did. Window frames having visible nail holes in them, dirt from their hands on them, gouges on two window frames. The door, after first rain we got leaked!! took them till 3 trips out here and still the leak is there. Last person they sent said need whole new door and frame set in again. never heard a word from them for 2 months because they told me it will take at least 6 weeks for a new door to be shipped. In the beginning of 2023 called them and they acted like it was taken care of, so they sent another guy out to look at door. He did attempt to fix issue, but here it is April showers time and it is still leaking. At least last year they had finally fixed gouges by replacing frame. I scrubbed window to get their dirt off. The one guy said my kitchen window is bad, the last guy said other one did not know what he is talking about window is fine. Now called yesterday and left message today they are closed, HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! no return calls to get someone here before I have wood rot!!! They suck at getting repairs done, returning calls, and following up to make sure everything is good. I like the look of these windows so much more than my other windows which cost half the price of the new ones but installed by Castle Windows. Which Castle uses cheap framework, and their workers glue/putty everything when you tell them the window is not set in tightly because they do not speak any English! 6 from castle windows, 6 from install America, next time will look for local contractors and get window from Lowes or HP!! read more

We only received a shower stall, a sink and glued on bead board walls. They must have laughed all the way to the bank as they tricked us into agreeing for a $15,000 financing to do something that must have cost $1000 at the most. Quality of the windows and doors, as well as the work was good. I'm most impressed with the customer service as they work very hard to rectify any problem situations. I didn't give five stars only because of the issues I had with the finance company (which I didn't want or need) that they forced on me. They came quickly to demonstrate their windows and sell me on them since I needed them quickly. It took weeks for them to come to measure them. Then months went by, and it took numerous phone calls to get them to come back. When they did, they brought the wrong windows. More months went by, more phone calls, and they finally agreed on a date to bring the right windows. But they didn't show up. Finally, six months later, they installed four of the five windows, but they never have installed the fifth. Finally, I had to hire someone else to finish the job before another winter goes by. Where do I even start with this scam of a company. The individual that was sent out to our home to complete an estimate for us named Megan, smelt like a freaking ash tray. We sit down listen to her sales pitch. We wanted a quote for a metal roof meanwhile she is trying to give us a quote on something we didn't want and was offended. She did not listen to what we wanted just kept trying to sell the type of roofing the company was endorsing. She talked so fast and kept spacing out like she was on drugs. I couldn't keep up with her, when I joked about the price she got offended and called me snarky in my own home, needless to say they won't be receiving our business and have some terrible sales ladies. The use quality materials and it looks beautiful. They did a great job cleaning up and left my property in good condition. I have no complaints. Worst ever will never recommend again(referred them to family before they started the job)! Bathroom install(shower/tub and floor), 2 1/2 months now since botch job. Ordered wrong tub and shower head, didn't order corner shelf unit or inset caddy and tried upping start date multiple times. Very reluctant to take any money off highly priced job to point tried saying delays were our fault not fact order was wrong and we had to wait an additional 1-2 weeks with no upstairs bathroom! Tub (3"-4" smaller in width) apron was cut prior to any measurements or level checking had to be lifted on one side due to floor not level, so 3/4"plywood had to be put on rest of floor to close the gaudy gap. Now floor with plywood and flooring 1" higher. We had to cut hollow bathroom door because was removed to do floor and well it no longer fit so they just left it lay there (told cutting hollow door does not change dexterity). Was told to remove toilet so they could do floor, they couldn't find flange extension that would work so we had to get 3 different extensions and do ourselves(but they took off end balance to compensate cost of extensions not labor of fact we had to do it). Floor joist was cut from underside up leaving maybe an inch of joist in tact! Told "don't worry about it, if anything happens we'll take care of it" . New Onyx walls that they installed cut so crooked in spots that were just filled with caulk. New drywall ceiling we put in jaggedly cut because they didn't want to cut any more off the onyx wall panel (was already set with caulk). No moisture barrier under flooring...the list goes on. Finally had one of their inspectors come out (I was given 2 days notice for inspector when apparently was set up for almost a month), he was shocked at the poor quality job and left with 2 pages of things wrong that he seen and I went over with him. He was/ did recommending a complete removal and reinstallation and I was suppose to receive a call from the manager or owner. Nope! Same guy who wants to argue this whole time called. Same guy I have asked NOT to speak to multiple times now and says caulk is ordered, a few replacement parts and some resin. Because caulk and resin are going to fix a crappy job that was WAY over priced to begin with? A tub that is the size of a toddler tub? The floor that has no moisture barrier between the 3/4" plywood and plank flooring? The 1" height difference from hallway into the bathroom? That's going to all magically fix that? I was told "I will love it when it's done!" I DON'T! And the constant trying to get them to actually fix it the way it should have been done the first time around is what really has done it for me! We gave plenty of time from when we agreed to contract until the start date we chose for everything to be ordered and they didn't even get that right and had been a huge disappointment since then! read more

He gies thru an hour and a half hard sell about how great they are then hits me with 22,500 "rock bottom estimate"...in Reading. Are ya kidding me. I requested a quote for siding online. Someone call and to set up the appointment. She ask about the size of my home, what type of siding and whether it was a repair or complete replacement. All reasonable questions. Then it get's weird. She wanted to know if I was married, whose name the deed of my house in and how long have I lived there. I told her that was none of her business. She said she had to know to be respectful of other people their sales person may encounter. Then I'm transferred to another person. He asked me the exact same questions. I told him he was asking the exact same questions as the previous person. I told him I was not answering any person questions. Those questions have nothing to do with an estimate for siding. Then he said he googled my house and could see it? (Stalking?) He said it was their company policy to know if I were married. I told him it was 2020 and not 1920. I also said if he could not give me an estimate without knowing my marital status then the conversation was over. He then said someone was in the area and would be over in 2 hours. Two hours later a salesman shows. He asked to come in to sit. I said if he needed to sit he can sit on the front porch. He was giving me an estimate on my siding which is outside my house. Then he tells my roof is in pretty good shape and doesn't need to be replaced. I said I know this since it's less than a year old. I reminded him he was there for a siding estimate. He then says my gutter was messed up. I said a baseball dented it. The then looks at the side of my house where the siding is damaged and said your siding is in pretty bad shape. I said yep, that's why you are here. He walks back over to the porch and asks, "so do you have a husband?" I went off. I told him that's has nothing with an estimate and that I told the previous 2 people that I won't be answering that question. He told me I wasted his time. I said no, your company wasted his time, because I would not going to give then any personal information for an estimate. It further told him that new roof he so admired was done without the company knowing if I were married and that concrete slab you pulled in on was done with out the company knowing whether I was married. As long as you get paid what does it matter. I suggest you stay away from this company! I smell rotten fish! You have been warned! read more
