Tall dark mocha

Stopped in here for WiFi since I was hopelessly lost and needed to look at a map, lol! I had wanted to stop somewhere for coffee, the dark mocha sounded good and I was not disappointed. The sweets in the case were enticing, but nothing struck my fancy. The place was crowded, but I found a stool in an alcove that also had an outlet, and WiFi was available so I found my bearings and located a bus stop. Mission Accomplished!!

Great coffee shop, located in the center of Dublin, fast service and good coffee. I didn't care for the bagel, if you get a toasted bagel here it becomes a brick, I guess is the way they make the bagels in Dublin.

This is a small little café located really centrally on St Stephens Green. It can only seat about 30 people. I tend to stop in here when I have some time to kill around that area. It wouldn't be my café of choice, but it still serves its purpose rather well. And as I'm not a tea or coffee drinker, I can't rate that side of things, but I do know they always have newspapers AND serve diet Pepsi, which I LOVE, and is surprisingly difficult to get your hands on. Seriously, have a look around next time you're in a few shops. You'll be pleasantly surprised how unreadily available it is!

A short walk from the Trinity College Campus sits a triangular, brick and mortar (literally)…read moretriangular "NY Style (sandwich) Deli". With just a few small tables and chairs outside, the standing room only interior is a picture of economy. These were my first impressions as customers steadily streamed inside to place orders and then leave to wait for their sandwich or sit a bit. My eyes locked into the pastrami melt sandwich on the menu and I waited my turn, albeit a bit nervously, to place my order with one of the three gents who were slinging the sandwiches. All the ingredients in the deli case looked fresh, from the lettuce, meats, cheese, etc, to the types of bead on top of the case, like the focaccia. Each sandwich is made fresh, and once assembled, is pressed to warm the roll and melt the cheese. My pastrami melt arrived loaded with the meat, and all the ingredients enhanced by the deli mustard made for a great tasting sandwich. It's probably the best pastrami sandwich I've tasted in a long while. Every employee was patient and helpful, and I found this to be quite an effort since customers kept placing orders without much of a break. The Pig & Heifer is definitely worth a repeat visit.

There was two lines and found out the 2nd line is to get the food and the first line is to pay and order. I got the Reuben melt, to try and was not disappointed. Plenty of flavor and not dry at all. Cost was decent around $11. There are a few tables outside and I just brought it back to the office. Highly recommend. They take credit.

Outside was as mess, there were no chairs at some tables and other had to many with dirty dishes on them. So we decided to go in. There was no hostess nor any wait staff so we stood there like stooges. Finally ,two of the wait staff walked right by and just ignored us so we decided to take a seat. Now they want to come talk to us! I asked if this seat was ok and got the reply "I guess it will have to be as you already sat down". Should have got up then but the wife was tired so decided to stay. It was crazy warm in there with little air flow. I liked the atmosphere and ambience. Guess they wanted to make a point as we sat there for 15 mins without water or anybody coming by. Had to flag down what appeared to be a bus boy to get water. Finally had order taken by male bus boy who seemed he wanted to be anywhere else and said "I am waiting". We ordered two "specials" and the bœuf bourguignon. Two separate couples came in and were served before we received our food. So hard to eat as it was 80-85 degrees in there. The beef was good and would recommend. The two specials were chicken and very very dry. To wrap it up we had to hunt down the wait staff to get the ticket as they actively avoided eye contact. Fairly expensive for just ok food and horrible service. Customer service is not hard. A "Welcome" or "Glad you came in" goes a long way.
