Friendly, knowledgeable staff and thorough examination. Great experience. Dr. Kim is very good at explaining things so I understood them.

Second review for Dr. Crews and his staff. It turned out that one of my eyes was being a problem. I…read morewas seeing some flashy lights in it. Called the office and a very new receptionist told me it was normal - I did not at all agree and firmly told her to talk to a doctor or assistant. Someone more knowledgeable was quickly put on the phone and she got me into an appointment later in the day as the doctors were on a surgery day. While my wait at the office was long that day - which was fine as I was pushed into an already busy schedule, my eye was dilated and seen by Dr. Crews. After examination I went home knowing that a) my call was validated and b) that while there was a bit of an issue, my retina was still fine but that didn't mean a problem couldn't appear. Three days later I had a worser episode with the eye very late in the afternoon but knew I had an appointment already scheduled for the morning with Dr. Crews. Well we switched the purpose of the appt when I arrived and the doctor decided there was enough issue going on that he got on the phone with a retina specialist to get me fit into their schedule and they sent me right over. Big props to Dr. Crews for seeing me when needed and explaining what he believed was happening (he was correct about it) and then getting on the phone with the retina specialist to fit me right into their busy day. Thank you to the team, but train those new receptionists a wee bit better. And if you are reading this in choosing a doctor for lasik/cataracts, I continue to highly recommend Dr. Crews and overall all the great & kind staff in his office.

He was very thorough in his examination and the entire procedure went well. My corrected vision was 20/15 by 9:00pm the night of the surgery. Great job to Dr. Crews and his exceptional staff at the clinic. Thanks for everything. Doug L.

I've decided to take time and update my review because I made an appointment for an exam to…read moredetermine if I can have cataract surgery. The exam took almost two hours which was exhausting. I recognize that eye exams are tough for me because I'm a blinker. Although they have state of the art equipment the staff needs to make sure that the client is comfortable through the process. I must have gone through six rooms before the exam was done and some of the rooms the technician had to get help to make sure it was accurate before pics were taken. I spoke with the doctor and he reviewed the findings but his bedside manor didn't leave much to be desired. I was told the exam would be valid for 90 days only, When I went to the front to check out the woman said the exam would be valid for 120 days. There seems to be a lack of understanding within the office. I haven't decided anything yet as I'm processing the overall time spent and how I felt after. Recommend re-training your office.

The cataract surgery was performed smoothly. The staff is polite and welcoming. I didn't feel…read morethat I was part of assembly line surgery. One day after surgery I notice a marked improvement in my vision in the eye worked on. I have only two comments regarding the experience. First, customers should be reminded that shuttle transportation service is only provided if the patient requests it in advance of the appointment. Secondly, giving patients the option to dispense with the pre-surgical Christian prayer is appreciated. But providing customers with Christian literature as a post-surgery gift may not welcomed by more than a few. While Christian proselytizing might be welcomed in more conservative communities, leaving bibles in the waiting room are a more accepted practice in the Portland metro area.
