Omg best moving company ever!!!!! We just used them to move this past weekend. We lived in our home for 20 years and had an unbelievable amount of stuff. These gentlemen packed us in one day and moved us in the next. They were beyond professional, had the nicest personalities and worked nonstop. The Inside Moves team are professional, friendly and quick! They insist on an in home visit first to ensure an accurate estimate is given. They moved us from a Town House to a Town House.....many stairs at both sides, a very tiring job and they did it quickly and with smiles on their face. All furniture and belongings arrived in exactly the same condition. They supplied wardrobe boxes so we didn't have to worry about packing our clothes into suitcases and our drawers could remain filled during the move - saving us time on our packing before the move. I was recommended Inside Moves by our local storage company. I called Ted, and explained what I needed done. Ted was great and explained some options, and we booked a move date. The movers (Robert/Alex) were right on time, and were amazing. I had a few expensive antique pieces that required additional wrapping, the guys were fast and did a professional job protecting those items. Robert packed my storage unit perfect, but I still needed another day, to move an additional home. I called Ted, who was amazing again to see if he was available on Friday. Inside Moves moved my belongings about one month ago from a condo in Santa Monica to a storage facility in LA. I initially had them rated with two stars, and had an explanation. However, this review will not have that explanation. The reason for this is that Ted Cotter, who is the owner of Inside Moves, has threatened to sue me for slander if I post it. While I don't think that he has much of a case, in the interests of caution I have decided not to post that review. I had sent him the review, which was generally negative but had some positive comments, in the interests of fairness. I wanted to hear 'his side' before posting. As noted above, he threatened, in writing, to sue me for slander if I were to post the review (I lowered his star rating by on for this slander threat). I had bad experiences in the past with movers showing up late, with an unsavory crew of what looked like ex-cons that stole from me, raised the price mid-move and held my things hostage until I paid them cash, (although they had previously agreed to a check). Let's just say they were "America's Worst Movers" Inside Moves was everything they were not. Super professional and prompt, they had a n excellent crew and saved me a lot of money and grief. I was very disappointed with this moving service. And I would NOT USE THEM. 1) They were unclear on pricing structure. They start the move and once they moved half your stuff they hit you with the full fee 2) The are careless about protecting your stuff - they ruined several of my items. 3) Their owner is kind of rude on the phone. These guys are not cheap either. You're better off paying for another company. They are not any cheaper than the next guy. And they'll hopefully treat your like a paying customer. read more

Ted and his amazing moving crew were hired to move one of my clients. They were hired to pack and move everything. Packing happened the day before and was handled very carefully and professionally by a 2 man crew. There was a lot of fragile art pieces to move as well as plants and a full kitchen with heirloom pieces. All made it to the new location without any breakage!!! The actual move day started early and the 3 man crew worked skillfully and clearly showed their experience! Bait & Switch on moving day. One month earlier, Ted Kotter, the owner, gave me a written estimate not to exceed $1400 for a 3 man crew. The day of the move,the crew was late. There were 4 men instead of three. The guys believed they were working at an hourly rate & were never told about the $1400 cap. When I advised them, they were surprised and unhappy.. I phoned Ted and reminded him of our written agreement, which he conveniently had forgotten.. He became enraged, accused me of being unreasonable and immediately canceled the job I was left in a lurch, scrambling to find another moving company on very short notice. Fortunately, I had a list of qualified movers and was able to book a reputable company for the next day. Kotter has been in the moving business for many decades and knows every dirty trick in the book. He is dishonest & unscrupulous. Be smart, don't trust him. Caveat emptor. read more
