My visit after Christmas meant there at likely have been less available than typical. My images show the relative value on items quite unlikely to be found unless consigned. Items that sit past discount era are sent to their thrift affiliate.

I have to say this was my least favorite of all the thrift stores I visited during my thrifting marathon from Thurmont Md to Springfield, VA, even though it was the one with the most amount of promise. Driving through this area I was in awe of the stately homes and luxury cars lining the streets. Even the strip mall that this store is located in felt higher end, and indeed it was. The "thrift" store itself - and I say that with air quotes as I got the feeling this was not a thrift store at all, was very boushie. The inside is cramped with people and inventory and I did see piles along the wall. I got the feeling from overhearing some of the conversations happening around the register that this is high end consignment. It is NOT the place to go for a bargain. Even the "clearance" section on the lower level was above my pay grade. While everything was displayed nicely, it was way over the top and had an old money feel. I didn't see anything I would want to display in my home even if the prices were reasonable. I felt they cater to an older, country club type of shopper with bad taste. The clothing was matronly as well, so even though the brands were desirable, the styles were completely outdated. I also felt very out of place in my flannel short and jeans and could feel them watching me throughout the store like I would want to steal that gawdy stuff! The staff was made up of overly dressed older women probably with pedigrees, who didn't make you feel warm and welcome. In all I did a quick walk thru and couldn't find my way to the door fast enough. A thrift store they are not, but then again I don't think this clientele would know real thrift if it smacked them in the face. I can guarantee with the upmost certainty that I won't ever return.

The store clothing ratio is about 75% female and 25% male. They have everything from jackets to suits here. Neatly separated as well by section. The pricing is very very good here especially on the high end suits such as ETRO, Brioni and Zegna. I have NEVER EVER seen even in NYC. A thrift store with high end luxury suits such as these and priced reasonably in my time. Also their ties are very high end as well from Brioni and Zegna for under $3 The clothing prices are amazing for their brands. Mostly all luxury brands and priced very reasonably. They have artwork and some jewelry in cases as well as silver coins. Parking is very easy due to the private shared parking lot with the shopping center. There's Cameras outside as well to cut down on crime which is a major plus. The employees have always been friendly all the times I've been here. The woman who owns the store is a true angel. Very friendly, social and professional. I always ask her questions about some items mainly ties and she's always friendly and nice. The general crowd is mainly adults. Very very highly disciplined. The noise level is normal for a high end thrift store. Very calm. Overall A+++++, Excellent pricing and very amazing customer service. ,This maybe one of the best thrift stores due to the reasonable pricing as well as the very friendly employees.

They have a huge shoe/ jewelry/ bag/ accessories section right when you walk in that is amazing! It's really well organized and the largest accessories section I've seen at a Unique Thrift. They have tons and tons of clothing racks! I found some real gems in including a 100% linen shirt and three pairs of shorts. Each item is priced differently and the items are sorted by category and size. These thrift stores give you a 20% off coupon if you donate something. They also have 25% discount days on Mondays and Thursdays, so those days are pretty busy.

They have mediocre art priced as high as $89.99. They treat the art like it is junk; it is crammed on the shelves and it is stacked haphazardly on the floor. The bric-a-brac is not much better. While they offer a diverse array of tchotchkes they too are exorbitantly overpriced and they are crammed together on the shelves, and have a junky appearance. I commiserated with a customer who wanted to buy a small night light with Blessed mother and the Christ child. it was made in China and I would estimate the value to be around $5; they had it priced at $29.99. They were selling a small Willow tree angel for $14.99; you can get a new one at the Hallmark store in its box for that price or less. I also went into the aisle where they had random picture frames. The aisle was crammed with picture frames which were haphazardly arranged. visually it was unappealing and the art frames on the lower shelf were stacked in a way that they were inaccessible. So here is the dilemma; this is a junky thrift shop that is trying to pretend that it is a boutique and it is not happening. I am all in favor of supporting charity thrift stores but this store is unfairly pricing these donated goods such that the people who depend on thrift shopping to add special things or necessities cannot afford them. Shame on this store. Register your disdain by not buying this merchandise. Also provide feedback to alert others.

When they moved to McLean earlier this year, I went with about 20 items to put up for consignment. (I had made appointment as they require.) I brought in beautiful clothes, in excellent condition. They took the boxes to the back to inspect the clothing and choose which they wanted to take for consignment; and while that was going on I browsed. I couldn't believe the downgrade in the clothing; while the quality was fine, I did not see anything stylish for sale. I was not even tempted to try anything on. After about 20 minutes the owner comes back and says she cannot take any of my items, although she would consider one in the fall (it was a spring/summer item, as were all the pieces, as this took place in mid-Spring) and I "could come back in a few months." Super dismissive and arrogant. The one good thing was the friendly young man at the counter, who I chatted with while I waited. I see the positive reviews here are years old, so here's an update: NTY management is just as or even more snobby now, the prices are even higher -- not just because of time passing but also likely the expensive location -- and they don't even have cool clothes any more.

The staff were visible and ready to help but not pushy. The inventory was well curated and full but not overly stuffed. I saw a number of nice sweaters and dresses that I liked, and I ended up buying one. Also a lot of fun gifts, jewelry, and assorted decor items. This store is geared toward an older crowd, which I really like. I'm past the age of shopping at some other resale boutiques that focus on only the trendiest items in juniors sizing. New To You is more JCrew and higher-end items. Prices seemed to be about 50 percent off original retail. Could you find some of these items thrifting? Sure, but it'd be like pulling a needle from a haystack. I'm willing to pay more for a tailored selection of good-condition items. I'll come back to shop here.
