I kind of stumbled into it based on a suggestion from an acquaintance that I check it out because it was convenient. I couldn't be more pleased with the staff and their attitude and dedication -- hard work, mixed with good humor and a can-do attitude. From the moment I walked in the door, Sheryl, the receptionist communicated more interest in how they could help me than in where the insurance money was coming from. She is a lovely person and keeps the place running smoothly. My primary therapist was Christina, and she is wonderful and not for sissies -- willing to push, which is very much what is needed for a joint injury -- but always with a reinforcing, non-critical approach to treatment. I also worked with Ann Marie, also a very dedicated therapist. She is a specialist in treating people with neurological challenges, whether due to stroke, MS, or other causes, and I observed how kind and patient she was with people facing those challenges, while refusing to sugar-coat her advice. Nicholas works part-time, and I also felt like I was in good hands with him, although I did not work with him very much. The place is not huge -- just the 2.5 therapists -- and the treatment feels very personal. I almost never had to wait for my appointment. The ambiance is cheerful -- large windows on two sides of the space let in lots of light. The background music is appealing instead of annoying and not crazy-loud. All of the needed equipment is efficiently arranged. I bought a couple of small and inexpensive PT items, at my own request; no one pushes you to buy anything. They also are happy to tell you where else you might want to buy an item you'd like for home exercise, for example, if you can find it on Amazon. Overall, I would recommend this place unreservedly. Great staff, and I always felt more encouraged and motivated walking out the door than I'd felt walking in. They also were happy to answer any follow-up questions after I had "graduated."

Having to goto rehab 2-3 times a week going somewhere close was great. I regularly worked with Kara and Danielle. They were both very friendly and professional. Pushing me to the point of being tired, yet careful enough not to cause any injury. I think Sue handled most of my insurance stuff and she did an excellent job. Everything was clear and the overall experience was great.

Unlike the sole other reviewer, my experiences (have been there for two separate issues, shoulder…read morein 2008 and currently pre and post-back surgery) I've never had PT anywhere else so cannot compare. But two + months in '08 (w/ Jessica) solved my shoulder issues, and with work I was instructed to do after leaving, no further issues. Sent in July by my internist for very bad back pain, sessions seemed to help but only for short periods after surgery. After 10-12 sessions, Jessica suggested I stop, which disappointed me until she explained that I had limited visits remaining on my insurance, and she said lack of sufficient improvement from PT and other things from my MD that she felt surgery may be in my future, after which a neurosurgeon would likely suggest PT. Did make sense, so I said OK. Wasn't long after I saw a NS who showed me on my films why it wasn't working and surgery was indicated. I originally felt my satisfaction was as much with Jessica as with SPT, but once she was unavailable and I was set-up with Courtney. My skepticism was quickly shown to be unwarranted, as she was also quite good with a unique trick or two of her own. A few weeks later I ended up with Aaron, again, was skeptical but he is excellent. There is a fourth therapist also I have not used so have no comment. Everyone is quite nice and seems to be extremely knowledgeable. Maybe other places are as good or even better but that's hard for me to imagine.

Sometimes my therapist was working with three patients simultaneously but two is the norm. On the other hand, their staff is hard to work with. I called for sick but no one picked up the phone at 7:30 am and then called after 9 am for postponing my appointment but the response was I have not informed them 24 hours in advance( My appointment was at 7:30am next day and the office was closed and no one picking up the phones). I was an old patient and going there for more than 3 months for the same issue. They charged me $50.00 penalty for not showing up. I will not go or recommend this place to anyone. Duncan called me 3 days later when I canceled all of my appointments.

Finally a nurse responded, but the nurses could not coordinate urine catch with blood draw. Nothing changed until I developed an altered mental state. AND I AM A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT RECIPIENT and next DEVELOPED SEPSIS. Do not let anyone you love go to Burke Health and Rehab.
