Previously, I was told by doctors in the area that it was due to frozen shoulder but he realized that this was not the case and recommended that I get an MRI. He was able to convince the doctors to book an MRI at the time. Turns out he was right and doctors were able to find a tumor and I am getting treated now. If Stephen was not so persistent in the level of care, I would have brushed it off and this tumor could have been a bigger problem. He is a superstar!

I had a 2-level cervical spinal fusion with rare complications, so I am very special to say the least, lol. First off, let me start by saying I am already familiar with Inova Physical Therapy because my son had to have PT for a pulled hamstring, and we used the Fairfax/Prosperity location. The PTs were great with him and he especially really liked Josh, but the office manager was consistently so rude to clients & staff that it was enough to make me not want to go back there ever again, even though it is a bigger facility (side-note: she's so awful that she is negatively referenced in their location's reviews several times)! Now for the awesome Annandale location: This is my first experience with the Annandale location and I absolutely love it! The facility is clean, and being located inside the Audrey Moore Rec Center gives them the luxury of access to the gym as well as the swimming pool for aquatic therapy. There is plenty of parking and plenty to do; whether you're by yourself or someone comes with you. The actual PT room itself is very intimate & there are never more than 2 clients overlapping at a time. I have had the pleasure of doing my PT with Vanessa, Katie, and Spencer, all of whom are wonderful. Vanessa did my initial evaluation and could not have been any sweeter; Katie is extremely knowledgeable in the different modalities of therapy & Spencer is highly trained to do dry-needling. All three of them are genuinely so kind, caring, and considerate. They really take their time to get to know you, your situation, and your specific needs. They tailor everything they do, every step of the way and constantly modify to ensure you're reaching your goals at a comfortable, pain-free pace. From beginning to end, they are very thorough and clearly explain everything to you, giving you an understanding of what's going on and how it will affect your body and its healing. I could not be more pleased with my progress so far and am always happy to go see them. I really feel so good when I leave; both mentally & physically. It is a very small facility but the staff is well equipped, educated, professional, respectful, with a great sense of humor. Spencer and Katie encourage their patients while learning PT. Dominique is always welcoming and helps with scheduling, insurance, and payments. I appreciate receiving a personal home program from the therapists at each visit. After ten visits twice a week, Spencer believes I am doing well enough to just come once a week and continue with the home program.

Sometimes my therapist was working with three patients simultaneously but two is the norm. On the other hand, their staff is hard to work with. I called for sick but no one picked up the phone at 7:30 am and then called after 9 am for postponing my appointment but the response was I have not informed them 24 hours in advance( My appointment was at 7:30am next day and the office was closed and no one picking up the phones). I was an old patient and going there for more than 3 months for the same issue. They charged me $50.00 penalty for not showing up. I will not go or recommend this place to anyone. Duncan called me 3 days later when I canceled all of my appointments.

My physical therapist (Caitlin) is awesome. I'm so thankful for her because she is helping me improve my shoulder strength and range of motion. Its been about a month and I feel my shoulder getting better. Its not where I want it to be yet but these things take time and I'm not getting any younger. The facilities are clean and they have lots of exercise machines, bands, weights, etc. They do get booked pretty quickly so call now to make an appointment because the longer you wait, the longer you'll need to wait to be seen.

My daughter recently had a bad experience at Jackson Clinic in Oakton and asked me to share her…read morethoughts. She had gone to the clinic for PT for about nine months but stopped because of the PT's rudeness. My daughter notes that the people at the front desk were beyond helpful and kind. Specifically, Anna gave us her email when my daughter hinted that she was upset about a different situation, and she seemed to genuinely care about the issue. David was also nice when we talked to him. Unfortunately, there were multiple occasions where my daughter felt sick and terrible during the sessions, and had to leave. When she would tell her PT, the PT would make my daughter feel bad and guilt trip and pressure her into staying longer. Recently, my daughter got sick and couldn't go to PT for about a month. After a month, she felt well enough to attend about 30 minutes. After the initial 30 minutes with the PT, my daughter told them she wasn't feeling well and would go home after one more exercise (that she planned and chose to do). They told her, "Okay, well just plan to stay longer next time." My daughter was extremely confused and just dumbfounded. She assumed the PT misunderstood and told the PT that she still wasn't feeling well from her recent sickness and had planned to only stay for 30 minutes. The PT double downed and told her to plan to stay for longer. At that point, my daughter was so angry she didn't want to talk to the PT anymore. She did the last exercise and left. Because they were not receptive to her feelings and symptoms, my daughter decided to stop going to the clinic, but we wanted to report it to their admin team. She sent in a contact request to the Jackson Clinics company admin team, but they never emailed or called us. A few days later, I cancelled all of her upcoming appointments at the clinic and the clinic director asked me why. I briefly explained, but my daughter called him back and told him more. At first, he seemed understanding, but near the end he seemed to be making excuses for the PT. He said he talked to her about it, and he didn't mention if she was even sorry or wanted to explain it herself. We later learned that Jackson can only bill you for the time that the patient is there. We assume they put pressure on their employees to make clients stay. While we understand that this is not the employees' fault, we expected more courtesy from them, explaining that they had to say it. Jackson most likely puts pressure on their employees so they get more money, but because of this forced pressure, we are not willing to continue service, and they lose more than they would have. We also recently learned that they sent an end of service note to my daughter's PCP. We know this is normal and expected. However, the PT lied on it. She said that she had explained to my daughter during the last appointment about their 90 minute model. She did not. She also said "patient was noncompliant with at home exercises." While this is partially true, as my daughter has multiple unreliable and unpredictable health conditions, the PT did not put in a lot of effort to help. We hope this review will give potential clients some insight and our goal is that they won't make others as upset as my daughter was, and still is.

At Ortho, I spent about 30 minutes with one on one with my therapist and then 30 minutes with a Personal Assistant guiding me through the exercises. I will say that if the appointments were structured in a way where I had 30 minutes each visit with Pramod, I think it would have been great, but this is not ACE's business model

I've been going to Alliance Physical Therapy (Fairfax) for several months and I can't say enough…read moregood things about my experiences and treatment here. I've never been in physical therapy a day before in my life, so I was nervous and not sure what to expect. I was sent to PT by an orthopedic doctor after I sought help for chronic lower back pain. I've dealt with it for 5-6 years but a 100% telework schedule due to COVID kicked it into high gear. It was debilitating and got to the point where I would just lay down and cry because of how much it hurt. They've done a great job of making patients feel safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone wears masks and hand sanitizer is widely available throughout the office. The front desk has an acrylic partition and they're great about using hand sanitizer when they collect your payment. All the staff are constantly cleaning equipment. Now, onto the physical therapists themselves. I first met with Dr. Hiral Naik. She did my initial assessment and then gave me some at-home exercises to keep up on. She then gave me a deep-tissue massage which HURT but I felt great afterwards. I had no idea I had so much tension. I started working with Dr. Josh Summers after that. He's a fantastic instructor and got me working on a regular round of exercises at the office. I'm now more aware of my body and know how to work out safely. Form is everything! Dr. Rachel Odom is now my regular PT and let me tell you - she changed my life. During our first session together, she identified issues with my hip/pelvis alignment and corrected it. This whole time, I thought I had issues with my spine!! The relief was immediate and I spent the rest of my week gliding around, amazed that I was no longer in debilitating pain. I see Rachel regularly now, once per week, and she's great about regulating my pain, guiding me through new exercises to strengthen my muscles, and follow-through on what I'm doing at home. Posture, stretching, minding your alignment, and strengthening. Everyone has always been friendly, professional, and they genuinely care about your pain management and health. For years, my friends and coworkers were saying that I was exaggerating my pain or that I was "too young" to have back pain. Josh and Rachel immediately knew something was wrong. It was incredibly validating to know that I wasn't crazy and that yes, my pain really was that bad. They have done everything in their power (and continue to!) to treat me. I have a long way to go before I think I can graduate from PT but my qualify of life is so much better. My pain is now at a manageable level and I'm more aware of my body than I was before. Scheduling my appointments are easy - the front desk staff has always been friendly (Chris and Tammy). I have a weekly standing appointment and regularly receive text message reminders. I pay up-front, sign, and schedule my appointment for the following week then and there. The location is super easy to get to and parking is plentiful. Be aware of tight corners around the parking garage, it can get a little crowded during peak hours. Overall, can't recommend this place enough!

We were sued for it, and when we asked their attorney, he charged us $327.82, which included 18% interest, attorney fees, court fees, and a credit card processing fee. After looking at other reviews, it seems they intentionally target minority and immigrant communities, thinking that such individuals might not have the means to fight the lawsuit and will be frightened enough to pay whatever this business decides to charge them. Jose is a miracle worker. After my first session, I felt so loosened up and relaxed that I fell asleep. No joke. What I like the most is that Jose really takes the time to explain to you what he is doing and the reasons behind it. He patiently answered all of my 30+ questions and gave me useful tips and suggestions for when I'm not able to see him. Every time I come in to see him, even with the worst pain, he's able to offer me relief and I feel like he always has a new trick up his sleeve. I've also tried corrective exercises with Jose and his mobility sticks which are also great to help tackle the root cause of my pain. My only criticism would be that I wish he worked out of a studio/office space rather than his house because sometimes it can be distracting. Either way, I still give Stretch Moves 5 stars for being excellent and would highly recommend it!
