I am out over $1,000, my AC has been running almost 20 HOURS A DAY during July because Ralph didn't know how to fix my AC. My AC (Less than 10 years old) was having a hard time cooling so I called Innovative Air. They said that a pipe had a leak and the refrigerant was gone. So they charged me over $1,000 to fix the leak and refill the refrigerant. After, they left I noticed it was not cooling very well again. After a few days Ralph came back out and noticed they did not fix the leak all the way and the refrigerant leaked out again. So he said he fixed it and supposedly refilled the refrigerant. But it still was not cooling! After a week of me trying to get Ralph to come back out he finally found time in his schedule to come back. He said the refrigerant was low again and supposedly he put more in. It has been almost a month since they originally came out and the system is STILL NOT COOLING! My unit has been running almost 20 HOURS A DAY because he didn't know how to fix it!!! We are dying in the heat so we received a second opinion. The new company said it is an obvious problem of not having enough refrigerant. So I called Ralph. He was EXTREMELY rude and told me he would not warranty the work, the other company didn't know what they were talking about and that I would need to pay the other company for the refrigerant that he should have put it. Ralph has been out 3 times and still hasn't fixed my system. At one point he even told me that he couldn't find the issue and suggested that I just buy a whole new AC unit!! ONLY USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO THROW AWAY MONEY. You claimed the person I got a second opinion from is wrong...so I sent the readings over to another AC company and asked if anything jumped out at them...the tech said, "those readings would indicate a low refrigerant charge" So now my 2nd and 3rd opinions are saying you didn't fill it right...do you want me to get more opinions? We were referred to this company by Nest when our thermostat stopped working. It was Sunday and Father's Day so I did not expect to hear back the same day. But I did. We set up an appt for the next day, but there was a problem with traffic and we had to re-schedule for later in the week. The day of our appt Ralph texted us to let us know that he was on his way. He was polite and professional and sadly let us know that the problem was not the thermostat, but that our original 1991 AC needed to be replaced. He charged us less than a typical call, and I assume that is because we had to wait a day or two to get things looked at. Communication was very good with both Ralph and Anastasia. Innovative air was a contractor from my home insurance company. My heater went out. they recommended parts be ordered and a technician came out to replace my compressor/condenser unit. The technician got half through installation and realized the part was wrong. They stated they order correct part and would be back next day. No show, I had to call. They said they would be out next on following Monday, no show. I tried calling and had no answer since Anastasia blocked my number. So I called from another number and Anastasia stated my insurance company took them off the job. I call my insurance company and was advised that Innovative was the one that canceled stating they had no resources to complete the job. Left message for owner or manager, no call back. They left me with no heater and no answer during the coldest weeks in Arizona. I had to get other accommodations for my family since it was to cold and a space heater was not suffice. After several companies came out and would not do the work since it was not their policy to finish other companies mistakes I finally got a contractor to help and they were great. Sun State Refrigeration. They looked at Job, Ordered the correct part the first time, kept their appointments, called and texted with updates and did the work in a timely manner. I scheduled an appointment with Ralph in December, but had to cancel as I was flying out to Phoenix to meet him but my plans changed. Ralph was understanding and good with communications. A couple weeks later, I scheduled him to meet me there in January. The day before our appointment (as I'm getting on the plane) he tells me he has the flu and cannot make it. UGH great, well I understand, everyone gets sick. So I schedule him again for two weeks out and my family is going to meet him there this time. Does he show up? No. Does he call or text? No. Also would say he texted the contact person and never did. Super disappointed and clearly has issues committing to customer appointments. After seeing the same feedback on Yelp from other customers I'm less shocked and just more disappointed. read more

Martin was tech and did a good job of explaining himself and communicating. He wasn't able to do a doorbell install, even after I was assured that they would do the install without cutting away any walls over the phone (Anastasia), which I found impressive, but assumed that as it was a NEST, they had a wireless or some other solution that I was not aware of. Ultimately he did install three thermostats, although didn't review them with me as requested by my wife, so we called the office to see if he'd come back to remove the back plates, which we didn't want visible. At this point, owner (Ralph ?) got on the phone and was absolutely rude and disparaging, and wanted to explain "customer service". He then said he wouldn't pay Martin to return to remove the back plates and that was on me, although he'd tell him to do it. Martin came, was polite, and appropriate. This company deserves the highest of marks! After receiving a Nest for Christmas and installing it ourselves, we ran into an issue as our system went to cool. After trying to solve the problem, with multiple visits to message boards, we contacted Innovative Air off of a list of recommended pros. Ralph showed up and diagnosed the problem as a wiring issue which he fixed as well as a larger problem with our compressor. He helped walk us through the resolution with our home warranty. After the warranty came up with a solution to bandaid the issue with a new compressor on a 20 year old system, we decided to take a buyout and put in a new system. We contacted Ralph once again, and being more than helpful, he helped with potential solutions and products that would provide us with an efficient and affordable solution. We did our homework and got quotes from 2 additional companies. After a top company came in $2,000 over the quote Innovative Air gave us, for the same exact system, it became a no brainer to go with Innovative Air. Ralph's communication was excellent! We have a 3 month old and time was of the essence. While other companies weren't able to be reached on the weekends, Ralph was responding to emails at 8 & 9 p.m. on a Saturday just trying to provide guidance and help. He was able to set an installation date immediately. He showed up at the time discussed and even gave us a curtesy call 20 minutes before arriving. The installation went seamless!!! I can't express how simple the process was. I got to sit and watch the Masters while Ralph worked his butt off. (I felt a little guilty) He is an amazing one man show. This is a company that defines excellent customer service. Twice in the past week or so, I've reach out and spoken with Ralph about different needs. Although the first one wasn't a true emergency, he set up an appointment for Jay to come out on Saturday morning. Jay arrived exactly on time, took care of swapping out our thermostat, quickly, efficiently and was a pleasure to get to know. About a week later, we had the emergency - it's 6 pm, and the thermostats to our other two units now won't work because we cancelled our security system (ATT/Digital Life - that's a whole different review) and they refuse to help use. I texted Ralph, explained the scenario, and he was able to get Anthony out to us within about 90 minutes. Anthony changed the thermostats for new ones, and blessed air conditioning was back on minutes later! Anthony was so nice, he took care of the work quickly. He fell a bit behind as it could be with anyone, but he owned up to it, apologized and even discounted his service. Accountability of this rate is rare these days. Ralph came highly recommended by a friend that had just recently had some repairs done. She was very happy. I scheduled an appointment to get a heat pump installed on Monday at 10 am. He texted me at 8:44am and said he had a family emergency come up can we reschedule? I understand things happen. We rescheduled for Wednesday at 9-10 am, Tuesday night at 7:17 pm he called to say he had to cancel because his boss was really "busting his balls" on a job he's doing and won't be able to make it. He said he could come next morning at 9-9:30 am. The next morning(Thursday) comes and I text Ralph at 8:02 am to confirm he is still intending on coming and he responds yes sir and by 8:58am he texts On my way. And once again he cancels! This time he texts at 10:09 am to say his truck has broken down and whether they get me a loaner or fix it he'll be able to come tomorrow. I know good AC guys are tough to come by and now I am NEEDING to get this install finished as the house will be occupied after the weekend. So without any options to get this installed in time I agree to reschedule again if he can do it tomorrow(Friday) FOR SURE? He says yes and we agree on 9:30 am again. And now its Friday and I text him confirming and he says Sorry Yes, waiting for a check from a customer. That was at 9:55am. After a couple hours go by and more texts from me inquiring as to an ETA he doesn't respond. I've called half a dozen times no with no response either. I am one to typically give a person the benefit of the doubt. But 4 times is absolutely ridiculous! This is from Innovative's website: "We do not waste anyone's time, we schedule and execute work asap. Call us, request us, we will respond and we will do it quickly." WHAT A JOKE! I noticed another 1 star review from someone citing this same pattern of rescheduling and canceling. If I have had work done by Innovative Air(Ralph) I would have his work double checked. I have a Nest thermostat that lost power, and Nest phone troubleshooting wasn't able to resolve the issue. They gave me a list of contractors in the area, and I called Innovative Air because they had the highest and most reviews. I'm so glad I did. On Thursday last week, my husband turned our AC off to enjoy the cool air during the storm and when we turned in back on, nothing happened. I sent A message on Yelp and Ralph responded immediately. They had us set up with someone to come out at noon the next day. When they came out, we found out that our system needed to be replaced. I had high hopes for this business after I saw the star ratings; however, my hopes were squashed when the service support didn't come through and we had to wait around 4 hours thinking they were going to come. I first gave the business a call and left a message. About an hour later I got a call back and was told someone could go to my home in about two hours. Great! But they never came after I called back to check back in 2.5 hours. I was then told it wouldn't be until later in the afternoon. We waited and I tried to call back to confirm times, no response. I had ordered and tried to install a Nest thermostat and even called Nest's support and they told my system that I have was incompatible, so I returned it.
