Great little ice cream shop! We LOVED being able to create our own cookie sandwich. There were so many flavors to choose from, and we were able to sample as many as we wanted, and our server was great! The shop is small but very very cute!

What can I say except I'm obsessed with their ice cream sandwiches!!! The mini was the perfect 4 bite size for dessert and the classic chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream cannot be beat in my opinion. My partner got the cookies and cream option and he joked that it was cookies on cookies . There were vegan options as well and know for their of gluten free options! There's street parking on Hastings in front of the shop, saw many people park, pick up and leave every 5 minutes. They were playing 2010 Justin Bieber pop when I walked in and I would still return for their ice cream sandwiches!

Went on a Friday afternoon on a hot summer day with no line. We got the Canadian and Salted Peanut ice cream sandwiches. The cookies for both had a decent crunch to them and the ice cream was good. I think I would prefer a different filling that's more contrasting as it was very good but didn't blow me away. It was a bit on the sweet side for my personal preference but also what I expected. I liked how there were many vegan options and the number of combinations available in choosing your sandwich flavors.

Tasty dog themed hipster ice cream shop by Nanaimo and Hastings. Parking is available in front, as well as the side streets. The venue doesn't have any tables. There are a couple of benches by the entrance, and some padded seats along the windows. Staff are friendly and helpful. I had a mini ice cream sandwich. Pretty tasty, but quite pricey for what is basically a small scoop of ice cream. Served with 2 biscuits (wafers?) sideways. The mini sandwich looked like Princess Leia. Looks like this place does ice cream flights too, which sounds interesting.

While the concept is good, I just did not think the ice cream or cookies were delicious. I loved the ambiance and service but the thing that mattered, the food, just did not meet my expectations. Street parking is available. The place itself is quite small with only a few bar seats and couple of tables for dine in. Maybe I need to pick better flavours next time? But I have had better vegan ice cream elsewhere so this would not be my top pick if that was what I was going for.

Love how this shop provides so many different types of ice cream bases - dairy, chickpea, coconut and fruit - so that it can be enjoyed by people with food allergies. I had a small cup of lemon meringue with a coconut base and it was sublime! My son enjoyed an ice cream sandwich with mint chocolate chip filling. The staff working last night were so friendly and helpful - offering us multiple samples so that we could find the flavor that was the best for us. I tried the chocolate peanut butter which was good but a bit too sweet for my liking; then I compared the vanilla chickpea with the vanilla bean dairy - both delicious and creamy; I settled on the lemon meringue because I loved the blend of sweet and tangy. The shop is cute with lots of seating available and we saw a steady flow of customers the entire time we were there. Will definitely return for another scoop.

This place is so cute and so good. Not cheap but worth the price, their portion sizes are great. So many unique combinations of ice cream sandwiches. Amazing. Freshly baked cookies and delicious ice cream. I got the Canadian, which is oatmeal cookies and Maple Walnut ice cream. Excellent customer service too!

Ambiance: full3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 3/5 Overall: 3/5 I've had this spot in my list of places to try for a while now and finally got around to it mid-week! The shop was empty when we went in and were quickly greeted by the staff. They're known for gluten-free ice cream sandwiches and sell them both individually (full-size or mini) and as a flight of 3 (mini). We opted to get the mini flight and add another mini sandwich to make 4 in total. You can also create your own ice cream and cookie combos but we opted for the pre-made sets and went with the Classic, Lil' Tart, Fairytale, and Sweet Tea. They have limited seating inside but since we went in the summer they had plenty of seats - both in their backyard "secret" patio and out front on the sidewalk. In terms of the food, I was a little overwhelmed. The ice cream itself was pretty good but the cookies left a lot to be desired - all of them were quite brittle/hard and I think the key to a great ice-cream sandwich is a soft cookie, but that could be just my own preference! This spot isn't my favourite but if you're gluten-free/vegan you might find this spot super dietary-restriction-friendly!

Checked out Innocent Ice Cream after having dinner nearby. They have vegan ice cream options as well as gluten free ice cream sandwiches. You can get a full sized ice cream sandwich or mini ones too. Or you can even get the mini ones in a flight! I had the peanut butter cookie with salted caramel ice cream. The cookies were nice and slightly chewy and the ice cream was good. I love that you can make your own combination of cookies and ice cream too.

The hubs surprised me with mini ice cream sandwiches knowing that innocent ice cream is my guilty pleasure. Sure enough I LOVED it! I loved the regular sized ice cream sandwiches but I love this even more. The mini size allows you to really enjoy teach of he flavours and not feel guilty about having too many full sized sandwiches. Innocent ice cream never disappoints!

A-dorbs!!! Love this little ice cream shop for its delicious flavours and yummy baked cookies. If you're also gluten free, this is your spot! They do coconut based ice creams and their cones are gluten free. I've never seen an ice cream joint do a mini sandwich and I LOVE this concept because it's the perfect size for me. I don't love eating a ton of dessert as I'm a savoury gal but this little sando was fabulous and the perfect few bites that satisfied my craving. My mini was called the electric and it was a chocolate chip cookie with cappuccino ice cream in the middle. My partner for such a delicious oatmeal cookie with maple walnut ice cream inside. I loved his oatmeal cookie, super soft, clearly made with lots of butter and brown sugar Can't wait to go back and try more and more flavours! The staff was lovely too!

Love that all their cookies are vegan and half the ice cream flavors are. Get the flight so you can try 3 types of cookies and 3 types of ice cream. Nice people. Super clean place. Some benches outside. Easy parking

Innocent Ice Cream sells ice cream sandwiches made with freshly baked cookies and handmade ice cream! They have lots of plant-based options too which is known as "nice cream" Flight of 3 (9.75) * Canadian (Oatmeal cookies & maple walnut ice cream) * Electric (Chocolate chip cookies with cappuccino nice cream) * Shortcake (Vanilla sugar cookies & strawberry shortcake nice cream) My favourite flavour was the Canadian! The maple walnut ice cream with the oatmeal cookies were such a perfect combo The flight of 3 is perfect if you want to try a couple different flavours for this summer!

The market sits on Granville Island, which used to be an industrial area before being transformed in the 1970s into a cultural and food hub. Getting there is part of the fun: you can take a quick water taxi across False Creek, drive, or grab a regular taxi. We went the easy route and arrived by car, but I'd love to try the water bus next time for the full experience. We got there later in the evening on a Sunday, so they closed early and time was limited. Before I even stepped inside, I spotted a vendor making maple candy--the kind that is poured onto ice and rolled up o to a stick. Highly recommend giving this very Canadian treat a try! Inside, it's exactly what you hope for: a lively space packed with vendors--produce, baked goods, prepared foods, local specialties. I had a short must-try list, starting with Lee's Donuts, Siegel's Bagels, and a hunt for Nanaimo bars, the iconic no-bake Canadian dessert named after the city of Nanaimo in British Columbia. Even with little time, it was fun weaving through the stalls and admiring all the products. Since we were visiting during the holidays, there were extra vendors selling arts, crafts, and locally made sweets, which made the whole place feel even more festive. We picked up bottles of maple syrup to bring home as gifts and also tried a few canelés. After we enjoyed our dinner, I stepped outside and took a moment to soak in the view--city lights reflecting on the water, the bridge glowing in the distance, everything calm and picturesque. It was a quiet contrast to the busy market inside and ended the visit on a really peaceful note. Definitely take in the view if you have a minute! Even though we didn't have as much time as I would have liked, it was still a great experience. Granville Island Public Market absolutely lives up to its "must-do" reputation.

They've been around since 1990 and are known for their Montreal-style bagels and smoked meat, with bagels baked in a traditional flame oven using fresh ingredients. We arrived late in the day, near closing so by the time we got there, they had already sold out of a few bagel varieties. You can keep it simple and order bagels and flavored cream cheeses, or go for deli items and full sandwiches featuring Montreal smoked meat. I went with the regular Montreal smoked meat sandwich. It didn't take long to prepare, and we took our food over to the market's dining area. The portion was generous and came with a pickle on the side. The bagel itself tasted fairly standard to me--though to be fair, it was the end of the day--but the smoked meat was the real highlight: moist, tender, and full of flavor. That's the part I kept going back to bite after bite. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by. It's an easy, satisfying market meal and a great way to try a bit of Montreal-style deli culture in Vancouver.
