Bfab had availability on my date and great reviews. I was so happy with how my hair and makeup turned out. The reason for giving 3 stars was that they did not show up at the scheduled time as they had accidentally cancelled my appointment in their system. Had I not called them inquiring where my stylist was, they wouldn't have even been aware of my appointment. Fortunately, after my third attempt calling them someone picked up and they were able to schedule Cindy to complete my appointment. I was very happy with Cindy's work and so glad it worked out. It was a relatively low-importance event so I was not stressed out about the time crunch, but if it had been a wedding or special event, this would have been unacceptable. They did not offer a partial refund, a discount on a future service, or anything to make it right. The price was $290 for hair and makeup. Overall I would hire them again, but I would confirm the appointment a week before and a day before the event.

If I could give negative stars to rate this nail salon quality and management, I would!…read more The first thing that happened after I had been going to Meew for about a year was, I went to checkout after my service one day and noticed that my total was $55 less that day. I asked the receptionist why and she looked at my service history and saw that I had been being over charged for a different service that whole time. When I reached out to the owner Anna to have her review my past services and issue me a credit towards future appointments she kept pushing me off, saying "I will look tomorrow" . As this went on for weeks. I came into the salon and saw her decorating the front door and asked if we could get this sorted and she told me she was busy decorating and would get back to me, continuing to put me off. I ended up taking matters into my own hands and requesting my history from the receptionist and added up the total and told them how much of a credit I have and had to keep a log myself until I was made whole in that situation. I had been going to this very expensive nail salon for almost 2 years. Before I took a nail break due to a fingernail infection that I suspect was caused by this salon. I had several issues with my gel polish peeling off of my nails over the last few months I was going there. Twice I had the gel polish peeling off same day/next day before even taking a shower and when I contacted the salon they were telling me that it had to be something I was doing. I had to go in twice within 72 hours to get my nails fixed. My guess is that the products they are using are no good and not sticking to the nail bed and I have several friends that experience the same thing. (My girlfriend got her nails done before heading to a wedding in Europe and had to attend with no polish on one nail because the whole thing peeled off in one piece. ) I reached out to an old nail tech I previously saw and she recommended which base and top coat to use. I then purchased those products and brought them with me the last time I was in and my polish lasted 2 weeks+ (that was the fix). But after that my nail became infected. I was diagnosed by my primary physician and was prescribed antibiotics to take for a week as well as an antibiotic ointment to use. Not using my best judgement, now that my finger is healed and I have an event coming up I tried to schedule an appointment and planned to bring my own products when I realized that I was blocked from booking. I reached out to the salon and this is what the owner responded to me. Telling me that I'm the blame, saying that I expect my nails to last a month, when my complaint was about my nails not lasting even 24 hours. She is now refusing me as a client and acting as if I have gotten aggressive with her and is threatening legal action. I have also had a friend tell me she had the same experience, they told her they would refund her. Never did, and my friend had to call her bank to get her money back. Over $200 for a manicure that did not last 48 hours. Unacceptable. I will attach screenshots of my conversation with the owner. Also, not registered with BBB.

She stayed within the lines of what I wanted while elevating it with her own expertise--and I was beyond thrilled with the outcome. I have somewhat difficult hair to style, and she worked with it as much as she could, never forcing it into something unrealistic. The final look came together beautifully. The winds picked up a lot throughout the day (way more than we expected!), and somehow my veil clip stayed perfectly secure the entire time. That alone felt like magic. I had so many people complimenting me on the street, and I can honestly say I've never felt more beautiful. I really appreciated how upfront she was about her needs and expectations ahead of time--there were no surprises on the day of. She was communicative and professional throughout the entire process, had me ready on time, and I never once felt rushed. She consistently checked in to make sure I felt good about the direction we were heading, which made the experience feel collaborative and reassuring. She was kind, personable, incredibly talented, and affordable. The only thing I was particularly specific about was my eyebrows--and we absolutely got them right!
