She kindly met me in Sephora and helped me to choose products that fit my facial structure and skin tone. Then we took all these products and she showed me how to use them as well as how to use them together with the products I already own. When I came to Sofia for a make-up lesson, I feared that I would be offered a long array of skin care products that I would not want to buy anyway, since I follow evidence-based medical advice on skin care, i.e. use SPF diligently in the morning, and Retin-A, not just diligently, but literally faithfully, at night. My fears were instantly put to rest: not only did Sofia not advise the use of unnecessary products, but she quickly and resolutely said that my skin looks perfect and we would be taking it a notch up. And that is basically what I came for - to learn the skills and techniques and to obtain a list of products that would take it a notch up. The lesson I got was recorded on video, so I would be able to rewind and review it as many times as necessary to cement my learnings.
