She stayed within the lines of what I wanted while elevating it with her own expertise--and I was beyond thrilled with the outcome. The winds picked up a lot throughout the day (way more than we expected!), and somehow my veil clip stayed perfectly secure the entire time. That alone felt like magic. I had so many people complimenting me on the street, and I can honestly say I've never felt more beautiful. I really appreciated how upfront she was about her needs and expectations ahead of time--there were no surprises on the day of. She was communicative and professional throughout the entire process, had me ready on time, and I never once felt rushed. She was kind, personable, incredibly talented, and affordable. The only thing I was particularly specific about was my eyebrows--and we absolutely got them right! Thank you so much, Emily, for helping make my day so special. I'm so grateful! I can't wait to share my photos with her.

We had the pleasure to work with Grace and had an overall pleasant experience. From beginning to…read moreend, Grace was extremely detailed and thoughtful with understanding all of my requests for my bridal look. The best part about Grace was that she was always extremely responsive and flexible with scheduling. She helped guide me through different hair accessory options and provided detailed advice on what type of hair extensions I could consider. Before the trial and the wedding day, I prepared a brief slide deck that included photos of my vision and my wedding parties' preferences. She always communicated ahead of time so I could ensure the team was well prepared. During the trial, Grace was extremely cooperative in aligning my trial with my engagement photoshoot. She was super flexible and listened to all my feedback during the session. For example, she noted my oily skin/eyelids, was attentive to how I preferred my bangs, helped add volume to the areas I was concerned, and even included some of my favorite makeup products that I brought along with me. We communicated very well and it was such a joy to work with someone that I vibed so well with! The trial experience made it easier for me to trust in her completely during the wedding day. On the wedding day, Grace was very thoughtful and considered the proper amount of time her team would need to complete a round of hair and makeup for a group of 10, including the bride, groom, bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, and sister. Their team arrived on time and setup was completely seamless. I really appreciated their thoughtful consideration to layer in good quality skincare to make the makeup long lasting. Grace was also super helpful in leading her team, by helping touch up after hair and make up were completed by the other team members, and checking in to ensure the team was not running too far behind. As expected with all hair & make-up prep, there are always a few delays, but Grace was able to ensure that everyone caught up on time smoothly and was ready by the agreed time of 12:30PM. Specifically for the bride, Grace did an amazing job! I was so grateful to work with her again after the engagement shoot and easily enjoyed the few hours together. Grace was very gentle and put a lot of thought and care into my overall look. I appreciated how Grace always took my feedback into consideration. For example, I was very comfortable speaking with her about when my eyelashes or hair extensions were placed in an uncomfortable position. As always, Grace ensured I was comfortable and happy with the final outcome. I was also soooo thankful that Grace was around during the wedding day since the weather was quite hot. I appreciated how Grace took time to touch up my makeup and hair constantly during the photoshoot. She was so patient and caring and it's a great quality to have as a HMUA. Our bridesmaids as well were quite happy with their hair and makeup looks and the team was very friendly and accomodating. Half the girls got up-dos and the others got half up-half down hairstyles that lasted the entire night! The groom also was satisfied with his look and looked younger than ever Overall, we highly recommend Grace and her team! They were all so professional and sweet! Grace also provided complimentary services throughout the evening that were much appreciated! Thank you again for supporting our entire day from beginning to end! You're the best!! Can't wait to use your services for future events as well

I don't normally wear a lot of makeup, and I wanted to feel stress-free and beautiful on my wedding day. I ended up booking a trial and bridal package with her, and also included hair and makeup for my sisters, mom and mother-in-law. Grace and Selina, her assistant artist, created such a peaceful atmosphere for us as we were getting ready. It was an extra bonus that they could speak Chinese with my mom and mother-in-law, so they both felt really comfortable communicating their preferences. They arrived on time to our very remote venue and even finished 15 minutes ahead of schedule! Between the trial and the wedding day, Grace was always warm, professional, communicative, and receptive to my needs. She really listened to all of my feedback and understood my particularities, my dry skin and made all the adjustments I wanted so I would feel 100% happy. I was so happy with the final look and I really felt beautiful all night long-- it even withstood the countless hours of tears and dancing! I highly recommend Grace for any bride looking to feel amazing on her wedding day!

This business deserves 0 stars…read more My experience with Emily & Michelle (the studio manager) was similar to the other 1 star reviews you will see on this page. They were by far the most unprofessional and disrespectful vendor I encountered during all of my wedding research. The biggest pain point was unresponsiveness which was consistently bad from day 1. It was silence for days despite multiple follow ups, even when we got to the month of the wedding. Whenever I did receive an overdue response, they were unapologetic and I might even say rude. Because of the concerns with communication, my planner kept trying to dissuade me from hiring Emily and I held out until the very last moment hoping to find another HMU artist. However, we were close to my wedding date and even with my planner's help, I wasn't able to find an alternative. So I reluctantly signed the contract a few days before the wedding and transferred a $1600 deposit. That's when I came across the reviews on this page about the no shows. That was the (much delayed) final straw, and coincidentally a HMU artist I had reached out to months prior reached out to say she was available for my wedding. So I notified Emily that evening asking if she would consider refunding any part of my deposit. Granted, she has no legal obligation to do so but it had been less than 24 hrs since I had sent her the deposit (in other words, less than 24 hrs that she held my wedding date which means no lost business for her). No response from her. She kept my $1600. Even with forfeiting the deposit, I decided to switch my HMU artist and 1000% believe I made the right decision. If I hadn't, I would have continued to stress about whether she would show up on my wedding day, and even if she had, I'm not sure how the experience would have gone. For example, if I wanted an adjustment to my hair or make up, would she have been accommodating? Shame on me for ever signing with Emily against my better judgement! I never write reviews but felt compelled to share this experience. I don't recommend her for any future brides.

I called Emily and she picked up and I was so excited she was available for my date, she went through questions I had and she said she had trial availability for later that month. Later my wedding planner reached out, and again she replied right away saying she was available and then ghosted him. Her behavior was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful, as we wasted time waiting for her, when it would be easy for her just to say she is not available or does not have capacity. Don't waste your time.

Summary: I am so lucky that my mother found Stacie for my wedding!…read more Here is why: 1) Technically, Stacie did an AMAZING job! My make-up, and the make-up of my bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law looked absolutely perfect: everyone looked beautiful and special without being too 'done up' and 'wedding-y.' She has true vision: she was able to take what we asked for and make it even better than we could have imagined. The hairstylist she brought with her (Jo) was also perfect! 2) The make-up and hair looked good ALL NIGHT!! I even looked good at the hotel bar AFTER the wedding! 3) Stacie was able to adapt to changing circumstances. Technical skills are great, but if you can't get the job done in time, it is for naught. Stacie and Jo arrived at the hotel over 30 minutes early (because they know how important the big day is, and they didn't want to be late if they got lost) and they got started right away. Timing wise, they had planned everything perfectly. However, there were some bumps in the road from my wedding party on the big day: one person who had adamantly said that she did not want make-up decided that she did indeed want make-up, and then numerous people showed up with wet hair. Not only did they STILL manage to get everyone done on time, both Stacie and Jo were such good sports about the whole thing. 4) The pricing was extremely fair: if anything, it was a bit of a steal given how great of a job they did and how wonderful they were to work with. 5) Stacie (and Jo) are just lovely women. Before meeting them, I wasn't thrilled at the prospect of having to do a trial hair and make-up run, but I actually had SO MUCH FUN with them!! And having them around when we were getting ready for the wedding just made everything better: they were just lots of fun and put everyone at ease. EVERYONE in the bridal party commented about how much they loved Stacie and Jo. I have had my hair and make-up done before, but I have never had such a good experience. Not only did my hair and make-up look better than they ever had before, but I had so much fun with the process because Stacie and Jo are so great! Book Stacie: you won't regret it!!

Booking/communication was easy over email, which makes things less stressful. Dantam gave me proper instructions for skincare before coming in. She also asked for inspiration photos, but I didn't have much in mind. I sent her photos of my past makeup looks and of my dresses and she went off that. She had me come over to her house which was comfortable and less hectic than going to a salon at 7:45am. Makeup turned out beautiful and I loved this eyelid tape she did which I've never seen before. For hair, I just wanted a very simple half up do. Dantam was kind enough to let me stay at her house after she was done so that I could change and get ready which made it so less stressful. She had to go to another makeup appointment so I stayed back for 30 minutes taking my time getting ready and not feeling rushed. I couldn't decide between two dresses and she helped me pick the winner. I'm really happy with her services and how affordable it was!
