If I could give this team more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! From the moment they arrived, they were professional, organized, and so much fun to be around. They made the entire morning of my wedding feel relaxed, exciting, and stress-free. Every single one of my bridesmaids was absolutely in love with their hair, and they all looked so beautiful. As the bride, I truly could not have been happier with how my hair turned out--it was everything I had envisioned and even more. It stayed perfect all day and night, and I received so many compliments! Not only is this team incredibly talented, but they are also the sweetest people to work with. They listened to exactly what everyone wanted and brought each look to life flawlessly. Maggie, thank you for making me feel so beautiful on the most important day of my life. You really knocked my hair out of the park; it was PERFECT! I couldn't have asked for a better glam team, and I would recommend them to anyone getting married or needing hair styling for a special event. I absolutely loved working with all of you! Thank you, GLAMMFACE! read more

2/15/25 Update: I asked MUA, Maggie, to create for me a glam look fit for a fancy event. I wanted soft, sultry eyes with an accentuated lash and a bold red lip. Maggie Delivered! The makeup made me feel like a Hollywood starlet. I posted a pic and video of the makeup freshly done. And I also posted two pics of this makeup after wearing it out for over six hours, through eating and drinking. It still looks gorgeous! I also bought Maggies's one-on-one makeup lesson. She taught me how to create this look on myself and broke the lesson down into well organized, very easy to understand segments. She educated me on tools, products, application techniques, and skin prep for makeup ... all tailored to my unique facial features and skin type! So I feel confident in my ability to do this makeup on myself at home and have it look great on me. But it's so much fun to have Maggie do my makeup that I'll be going back to her to do this look and others on me in the future. read more

My daughter had wanted to dye her hair for quite a while, and we finally decided to surprise her for her birthday. Everything from booking an appointment - to our appointment day was seamless. My daughter wanted blue highlights in the front and under her hair, and Maggie exceeded our expectations. Maggie made my daughter feel so special and beautiful. Watching how my daughter looked at herself in the mirror while Maggie styled her hair was incredible - her smile was so big with happiness. Even after we got home, she appreciated the experience so much - she said she will forever go to Maggie for her hair. You feel comfortable the moment you step into the salon - everyone is super nice, and the energy is super positive. I knew we were in the right spot. As a Redwood City native - I love supporting local Redwood City businesses. Maggie is an amazing, talented, patient, and humble human - thank you for making my daughter's birthday AMAZING! I cannot recommend Maggie enough. THANK YOU! Wishing you all the success and prosperity with all of your business ventures! read more

Maggie has been doing my hair for years, so this is a long overdue review. She does an amazing job every single time. I get a balayage and cut and always leave feeling like a brand new person. For my wedding, I also had her do my bridal hair and makeup, my mom's HAMU, and my bridesmaid's HAMU. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Everyone looked stunning, and it lasted all night, even through dancing. I 100% recommend seeing Maggie for your everyday hair and special occasions :) read more

Maggie always impresses me with her coloring skills, but I was absolutely blown away when she did my hair and make up for my wedding. She made my face look flawless, yet not too over done and my hair was lovely and the curls lasted ALL NIGHT. At one point while getting ready my entire bridal party crew was just watching her work because not only is she an amazing artist but she is also a complete professional and delight to be around. It's hard to write this review without getting a bit teary eyed. I had a MAJOR disaster at another salon that left my hair literally falling out and breaking. My cut and color were good for a circus act. My friend was a client of Jamie and recommended I see her. Jamie literally saved me from 2 months of embarrassment and looking like a clown. She cut off the damage, did a root melt, actually toned my hair to an ashy light brown, and even did the toner again to get it just right. Jamie's story is she had a personal experience with a bad hair color, and this inspired her to become a stylist. Jamie is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL. She's beautiful, warm, funny, patient, understanding, and a perfectionist. I literally walked in wearing a hat and pins to keep my damaged hair up, and left looking great. If you are looking for someone to do incredible cuts and superb color, I cannot recommend a stylist more than Jamie. Bonus: there's plentiful parking in the lower garage. Bonus: the studio is light and airy. It feels great and shows your hair color in natural light. read more

It's always a pleasure to have my hair done by Maggie! She puts a lot of pride into everything about her work, from the salon vibe to the cuts and styles she provides. She's been my go-to for the last few years, and I even had her do the hair and makeup for my wedding. This is a gem of a local business and I'm grateful to have them in Redwood City. read more

Let me just start by saying that Maggie is absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with! After trying a couple of different stylists in preparation for my wedding, I finally found Maggie and LOVED the trial hair and makeup she did for me. On the wedding day, she was very personable and patient with the entire bridal team - and of course, everyone Maggie touched looked gorgeous. Maggie is very talented and after listening and asking questions about my goals, she knew exactly what I needed. I felt beautiful and like a princess! Have now multiple friends (future brides) asking for Maggie's contact information. The amazing memories at my wedding would not have been the same without Maggie. read more

Maggie is SOOOO incredible! I was having such a difficult time finding someone who was reliable and affordable for my wedding hair/make up (other places were ridiculously expensive or impossible to get a hold of). I called Maggie, received a call back in less than 5 minutes and booked my trial session. The trial went great - Maggie made me look natural, flawless and captured what I wanted for my wedding. However, the day of my wedding I decided to change the colors around my eyes for cooler colors (something I'm more used to day-to-day). Maggie executed exactly what I wanted effortlessly. Maggie also did hair and make up for my 3 bridesmaids - all of whom looked absolutely stunning (one decided she wanted to get her hair done the day of and Maggie was able to squeeze her in!). Maggie also did my mom's hair (my mom is a harsh critic) and she was beyond happy with Maggie's work! Anddddd.....we realized that after we were all ready, we were a car short and we needed to call an uber, something we had not planned. Maggie is the SWEETEST PERSON EVER and offered to drive us 20 minutes to the venue!!!!! She's a miracle, easy to talk with, so fun and sweet and out of this world talented! I don't want to get married again because I love my guy, but I do want wedding hair and make up done ALL the time by Maggie! read more

This review is long overdue because Maggie and her salon deserve all the glowing reviews they can get. I booked Maggie for my wedding in August 2013 and it was one if the best wedding decisions I made. A friend recommended Maggie for my wedding day hair & make-up. I first emailed her with a bunch of questions and she replied right away, telling me to give her a call so we could chat. After discussing what I wanted done, I booked my trial for the following week. I brought a bunch of photos of what I wanted done during the trial and Maggie was able to get done it with ease. And her work on the wedding day was just as wonderful! She arrived on time to the hotel to do hair & make-up on myself, my mom and two of my bridesmaids. She is super productive and had everyone done right on time. Aside from being a true make-up genius, her prices are reasonable (some of the best I found in the area!) and her personality and professionalism is top notch as well. She is flexible, laid back and always willing to make suggestions or make adjustments. Maggie will be my go-to make-up artist whenever I need it done in the future. read more

Update: I just got a spray tan here.. check out my pic! Everyone keeps on thinking I lost weight.. they are like "something's different, you look HOT!" lol I'm getting married in 2 short months. In an attempt to save a few bucks, I went to several Mac and Nordstrom counters in Palo Alto and San Mateo, trying to find a counter girl who could do my make-up for the big day. I was never satisfied with what I got. So, after some Yelp research, I called up Maggie and her assistant answered right away and we booked a consultation for the following week. I parked on the street but there was also an underground parking lot for visitors to access the building. Her studio is on the 2nd floor, so take the stairs up and you'll find it. Maggie is fun, personable, and great at what she does. I was sold after my consultation without any pressure at all. After my trial, I looked in the mirror and KNEW we were on the right track as I came in wearing jeans and a casual top and I came out feeling underdressed ..that's a good sign! ;) Can't wait to see how everything turns out on my "big day"! read more

Maggie is the best hairstylist I've ever been to. She is the owner of this salon and she genuinely cares about her clients on a personal basis and of course wants to make them look their best. She's awesome with hair and makeup for any occasion. For years, she has done my hair extensions and even though I'm older, I've never looked better. Her prices are very competitive to other stylists in the Bay Area who offer hair extensions. This is so important because they can be expensive if you have them over several years time. Go see her! You'll be happy you did! read more

I grew up with a mom who ran a salon, and I have a decent idea of how much work it is to run your own place. Maggie makes it look easy. She's an absolute boss and I have so much respect for the incredible business she has built. Her staff is so kind, and not in that "customer service"/"how can I help you" kind of way, but her staff is just SO genuinely friendly. For the most recent visit, I called asking for an appointment on their voicemail. Someone called me back a short while later, and I was asking for a spot on short notice. They got me scheduled for the very next day, and they didn't make me feel like I was an inconvenience or being a pain for asking. When I showed up for my appointment, I was greeted kindly and welcomed with great hospitality. I noticed the salon when I lived in RWC a few years ago, but it was when I saw one of my friend's hair after a visit to Glammface that I was sold. I had virgin hair until I was 29, so I had no clue what I was doing. I had been going to a chain salon for over a year, never realizing the huge difference experience and individualized service makes for my hair. I found out the importance of a good salon when Maggie did my hair for the first time and now I'll likely need to shave my head if she ever decides to leave the industry. My hair is very long, very thick, and I'm clueless about color and what works best for my hair. Consistently, Maggie asks me what I want, what I like, and then offers me her suggestions but lets me choose. It's a small and meaningful part of the process, but it makes all the difference. Service is one thing, but talent is another. My hair looks better now than when I had virgin hair! Thank you, Maggie! You're the absolute best! read more

Maggie is such an incredible artist, she beautiful, she easy easy to talk to, she outgoing and she delivers! My mom and I (bridesmaid and Mother of the bride) came to get our hair and makeup done for my sisters big day. Both of have never felt so beautiful walking out of GlamFace. We both came in not knowing what to ask for and Maggie waved her magical makeup/hair brushes and turned us into beautiful women. She's like a glam fairy godmother. My hair was in a sassy up-due that looked like a flower twist in the back. Everyone at the wedding was taking about it! My makeup looked like movie star to perfection. Finally after 3 longs years of debate I had Jenn give me extensions. She convinced me into clip ins a few years ago, picked out the perfect shade and great quality. I fell in love with the clip ins but it was time to have them in for good. Jenn did a high light and extension add in and I'm sitting here wondering why I haven't had this for years! I don't do it for length, but to keep my hair thick and curled when I want it. My BIIIIGGGGESSSTT fear was that they wouldn't look natural, that you would see what's real and what's fake. No way! Not with Jenn and not with the work she does. She perfectly blended all 100+ strands and beads. The color of the extensions and my hair match 100% and look so real. She gave me all the info I need to take proper care of them and the full "dos and Don'ts" to ensure they last! Yet another amazing service done by the amazing Jenn! Highly recommended! Maggie is professional, she makes sure you're getting the look you want-- I can't thank her enough.

Having moved west, I was searching for a new hair colorist/stylist. My first try with a stylist was less than desirable so I setup a consultation with Maggie after to get her point of view. She was considerate of the work done on my hair, the amount of time we should wait before scheduling an appointment, what seemed realistic (wanting to lighten my hair more) for where my hair was at, etc. Overall, Maggie is an incredible colorist and stylist. She is super thoughtful about how to achieve the best results for what you want and provides options throughout the session. She went above and beyond and did a stellar job. I had higher expectations from this beauty salon, but this place was just OKAY. The two ladies seemed nice, but not professional at all. I had an appointment here to do my hair styling and makeup for a bridal event. I was a bridesmaid at a wedding and was excited to find a place with good reviews near me. The hair styling and makeup were rushed and was lazy work. I initially wanted a simple half up half down hairstyling with volume and a braid. I showed maggie and the other hairstylist a picture of what I expected my hair to look like. After my hair was done, the braid was messy and thin and had zero volume. There were a lot of flyaways and some loops were sticking out on one side and it didn't even look even. The top was also completely flat and was never teased or anything for volume like the picture that was shown. I asked her to fix it and she fixed it to the best of her ability and said "That's just your hair" lol I knew it wasn't just my hair because I have done this same hairstyle in the past and looked nothing like what was done. She handed me a mirror so I could see the back of my hair, and I thought it looked fine after being fixed, but definitely looked like something I could do on my own. After I got home, I realized they had not curled all of my hair evenly. There were still straight strands all underneath and around my hair!! I quickly grabbed my curling iron and started curling the strands of hair that she missed. Moving on to the makeup... it could have been a lot better as well. I am not a professional, but there were things that I didn't like and asked maggie to fix. She fixed it but was not in her best mood. When I walked out of the salon, I thought the makeup looked fine in the mirror after being fixed. However, when I stepped outside, I realized there were a lot of flaws in my makeup but was too late to go back and ask her to fix it. The biggest flaw was that the foundation did not match my body. It was extremely orange. My eyeliner was still uneven and my eyeshadow wasn't properly blended. Therefore, I went home and re-touched my makeup AND hair which took up more time. I would never recommend this place to someone. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE MAGGIE!! I first saw her at a bridal faire and loved the quick work she did there. I then scheduled a consultation and fell in love! I had her to my hair (including putting extensions in) and my make-up. I left her studio feeling like a princess! I had her and one of her co-workers do all the hair and makeup for my wedding (6 in total). They came and met us at the Fairmont and did an amazing job! All the women in my wedding party are very opinionated and different. I wanted them all the have a side pony, and subtle eyes. They accomodated my wishes but also listened to the girls so they could all have a unique look, feel like them selves while still sticking to what I asked for. Maggie used HD makeup and you can tell in the wedding pictures, my girls look amazing!! I highly recomment Maggie and cant wait till I have another reason to go back to her! LOVE LOVE MAGGIE!!! Maggie and her incredible team did an amazing job for my wedding!! They took care of almost all the bridesmaids and both moms (hair and make-up)! Professionalism: First let me start by saying that during wedding planning it is always great to work with professional people that know how to respond to your questions and ask questions themselves to be sure you get exactly what you want! Maggie didn't mind me requesting two trials to make sure I knew what I wanted and she even asked some of the girls to text her photos of what they wanted so she could be prepared the day of. Talent: All 3 times that Maggie has done my hair and make-up, I leave her beauty bar glowing and extremely happy! She takes her time to do EVERYTHING, even if it's a trial. She does not settle for "ok looking", she is a perfectionist!!! She has incredible vision for all different styles and tastes so she doesn't make every girl look the same. This girl truly has a passion not only for make-up and hair but for art. Pricing: Out of 2-3 make-up artist I looked up for my wedding, Glammface was the most reasonable in price and definitely the most modern while keeping it classy for wedding purposes:) Overall, Maggies's work is fabulous! My bridal party and I couldn't be more satisfied!!!! read more

SPRAY TAN REVIEW Jamie is absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend her. I have followed her to her new location because of her quality of application and the product she uses. Her new space is a work in progress but I know she'll have the place spectacular shortly. Jamie is professional yet fun so when you're standing there naked you feel comfortable. I trust her recommendation on the level of tan - she nails is every time! She is very educational about her product and if you follow her protocol afterwards, the tan will last. Recommendations on what to bring: 1) Loose clothing to change into afterwards. This will help not effect the tan. 2) Cash 3) A good attitude! read more

Maggie is AWESOME!!!!!! I took my daughter to Glammface to have her Senior pictures hair and make done back on September. First let me say that my daughter NEVER puts on make up, but as a mom who loves make up I was blown away by the transformation! This review is for Jenn. We've been going to her for a few years now and she's super consistent and always gives us great cuts. She is so talented and enthusiastic in her craft. I like that she is honest about what she thinks may or may not look good on us. She also always has great suggestions to improve our hair. One thing about her - she wants you walking out of the salon satisfied with your cut and she goes above and beyond to achieve that. I've never felt rushed with her during my appointments, which can happen with some stylists. She's funny, friendly, and a great stylist.
