I was in search of a new stylist since mine had recently moved out of the area. I came across Suite AJ via a yelp search and did some additional research by taking a look at the Instagram photos posted to their account to ensure their work was in line with my personal style. I have now gone to them 3 times and have enjoyed every appointment. My hair always comes out looking great. The booking process was easy to do online. I received several helpful appointment reminders prior to my visit and also a text from Jes who outlined the Covid-19 protocols for entering their salon suite. Upon arrival, their suite is very easy to find as it is in the SOLA Salon building. My temperature along with my stylists temperature was taken and masks were worn the whole time. Their suite is very clean, well lit, organized, and cutely decorated to make you feel comfortable. They have a large plexiglass between chairs that adds an additional protective barrier. Both Jes and Ashley are very friendly and welcoming. My stylist has been Jes each time and upon my first visit she did a great job asking me questions about my hair preferences and gave some great suggestions for covering my incoming grey hair. I have since gone 3 times and she has done an amazing job giving me caramel highlights along with a layered cut that frames my face perfectly the way that I like. I do appreciate that Jes had continuously check in with me during my cut to make sure the layers at the desired length. It is the small details that make for an enjoyable visit. Overall, I am very happy that I found Suite AJ and more importantly they are staffed with friendly stylists that genuinely care about their clients and do their best to deliver a great look. read more

I've gotten my hair done by Ashley a few times now and I love it every time! When I first went in, I didn't really have an exact picture of what I wanted but I was able to just explain it to her & ask for her suggestions & she made my hair look beautiful! My hair is pretty long, thick and tangles easily, so it's not easy to work with and she has always managed to make it look so healthy and smooth, even with all the lightening! I don't know how but she also has the most gentle hands...like I said, my hair tangles easily and she always gets all the knots out without any pain!! I found Suite AJ via Yelp and was looking for a Keratin & Haircut. They were extremely responsive via Yelp messaging and very helpful in deciding which treatment was a good choice for my hair type! The scheduling system was easy to use and modify appointments. I scheduled with Jes, and she was very responsive to my texts leading up to the appointment. They adhered strictly to COVID guidelines - including temp check, hand sanitizer when entering, and carefully sanitizing the work stations after we were done. While I was the only customer in the salon at the time, there is plexiglass shielding between chairs. I'm so happy with how my hair turned out! I ended up doing the Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment and a haircut. Jes was obviously well trained and made sure to answer my questions and ensure she understood what I wanted before we got started. She was a pleasure to chat with throughout the appointment. I have thick, long, wavy hair that I have often struggled with, but I left with my hair feeling smooth and manageable. My haircut was exactly what I wanted - keeping the length, but adding in some long layers and face framing. I'm here just for a short time from Seattle, but so happy I found Suite AJ! I cannot rave enough about Ashley and Suite AJ! I must reiterate that I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair, having been traumatized by some terrible haircuts throughout my childhood (hi prominent bowl cut!). After my long-time stylist moved out of state, I found Ashley at a local salon. First, she is the most kind, genuine and caring person so the second you meet her you feel welcome and at ease. Then, she truly listens to what each client wants. I was so impressed with the first cut and blowout that I made an appointment for a coloring and cut as soon as possible thereafter. I have since followed her to her new location and purposefully made a haircut appointment before I really needed one, just to get some chair time and hair therapy.
