Quite unprofessional. Maritza canceled my appointment, which I had booked a month ago, without any heads-up and at the last minute, because I didn't send her a picture of my hair, which she asked for last minute. I think she wanted to prep the color just from the photo, without any consultation or conversation. My hair color looks very different in pictures! When I called her to talk about it, she didn't pick up, and just responded with the cancellation, and then completely ghosted me. Now I'm just left scrambling to find another stylist. Perhaps try booking with Francisca, you might have a better experience. read more

This is a tad embarrassing but I must share pictures done by 2 separate stylists. The before pictures are pictures of my hair AFTER I had it done less than a week ago by Francisca. Unfortunately she was unwilling to take any responsibility for a botched job. I was a stylist for 25+ years and once worked with Francisca. I may know the difference of good hair vs bad and this sucked! I have breakage from the last 2+ times it was done. I was wondering where all my hair went ?! I had to make an appointment with someone else who thank God understood what it is to highlight a blonde. She did not have to use other ways to add more color to cover up lazy work and to overcharge you. Fran likes to do root shadowing and toners, I am not a fan. I did let let her do it in November, I looked like I had horrible roots within a month. Less than a week ago I said I didn't want those techniques and she said okay. The bleach blead out and left orange lines 1 inch plus down from my root. She added 3 more highlights on each side to try to blend them. I left with wet hair and the 6 foils in my hair. I texted her the next morning saying it looked as though we needed to do something more to fix it. and attached pictures. She responded with; that's why I root shadow. And toner... I reiterated what I had asked for the night before and explained I had solid yellow sides and looks like I already have outgrowth. She told me with highlights its impossible to go down to the roots. Then crickets. I waited to hear from her, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, it was a Saturday and perhaps she was busy. If I had some sort of outreach of kindness and understanding I would not be blasting this. I paid an extra $$ for services I did not receive, as she said the price was the same as last time. It saddens me to have this go this far but being a stylist for so many years and believing customer service is everything, I was not treated with respect and my feelings were disregarded. That should never happen to anybody. Sorry! I just received a PM on Facebook from Franciscas sister, Maritza I just want to say there's no need for you to be disrespectful because you didn't like a stylists work on your hair. Just because she wasn't able to do exactly what you wanted doesn't give you the right to blast how horrible of a job it was. As a stylist you should know not everyone can do everything and not everyone is the best at everything. Just wanted to say you don't need to be so rude and disrespectful.. people have feelings. As a grown woman you should know better than to be so cruel especially on social media. Have a good night. read more

I have been going to this hair salon since they opened up and the best word I could use to describe this place is AMAZING! My hair dresser was Maritza. I have gotten a hair cut from her, she has also toned my hair when it was blonde. Maritza is the only person in this entire word I would let near my hair with scissors. I call Maritza my hair fairy godmother. She makes miracles come true and grants wishes!!! My hair was beyond damaged and did not seem repairable. However, She was able to give me the balayage I so desired over literally patches of bleach spread all over my hair; due to letting a friend have some fun with my head . I came to Francisca at Shine Studio which was previously Dez Salon for a Brazilian Blowout and left a very happy client. I have had this treatment for years now at various salons, and this by far was the best one. I have extremely thick,course hair and it is not easy to do my hair because of the texture and thickness, not to mention frizz and lots of flyaways.
