The space inside feels about as wide as a railroad car but as homey as a local gem can get. The menu reads like a classic diner's, with everything from breakfast to dessert. I ordered the Hungry Man Special, which comes with a stack of pancakes, two eggs, bacon AND sausage, and home fries. For $16, this was an enormous value and practically a wealth of food. My husband ordered the chicken salad, and they were more than amenable to his ask for grilled chicken instead of the menu-standard crispy. The chicken was tender and cut into easy-to-eat strips. Everything was well cooked and got to our table within minutes of ordering. Service remained fantastic throughout, and judging from the friendly conversations around me, it's clear that there were lots of regulars and return visitors. Definitely step in if you're in the area and in search of dependably good food.

My visit on August 30, 2025, left me with the kind of satisfaction that only a solid diner experience can deliver--one that makes you want to return just to try more of the menu. To start, the garlic bread with marinara was exactly what you'd hope for in diner comfort food: warm, golden-brown edges with just the right crunch on the outside and a soft, buttery center. The garlic wasn't overwhelming, and dipping it into the tangy marinara added that classic, crave-worthy touch. It was the kind of simple appetizer that sets the right tone for what's to come. The Santa Fe Wrap was a highlight--grilled chicken cooked to a juicy tenderness, paired with creamy avocado that balanced beautifully against the smoky bacon. The cheddar added sharpness, while the lettuce and tomato kept it fresh and crisp. It's a hearty, flavor-packed wrap that manages to feel indulgent without being heavy, something you could happily order for either lunch or dinner. On the spicier side, the Buffalo Chicken Wrap brought a zesty kick. The buffalo sauce was bold and tangy, just spicy enough to wake up the taste buds without overwhelming them. The blue cheese inside mellowed the heat, adding a cool creaminess that tied the whole wrap together. Each bite felt satisfying, with the wrap itself holding everything neatly--a small detail, but an important one when you're eating something saucy and bold. Service throughout the meal was friendly and efficient, with staff that seemed genuinely attentive without being overbearing. The diner itself has that cozy, casual atmosphere you want in a local spot--welcoming and lively without being too noisy. Value-wise, the generous portions and solid flavors made the price point feel more than fair. Overall, I'd give New Munson Diner a strong 4 stars--a reliable, tasty stop with plenty of menu options to keep you coming back. The wraps in particular stand out as fresh, flavorful choices, and paired with a shareable appetizer like the garlic bread, you've got yourself a diner meal that's both comforting and satisfying.

The hotel itself is cozy, full of charming little spaces, and we truly felt pampered throughout our stay. It's pet-friendly (huge plus!), and everyone was incredibly kind to my dog--he had the best time exploring the hiking trails with me. The vibe is very relaxed, peaceful, and the perfect place to disconnect from the world. Now for the real star of the show: the food. We did the tasting menu and it was so good. I loved the intention behind each dish and how they highlighted seasonal ingredients and the local farm sources. My personal favorites were the mushroom dish and the venison--both were phenomenal. The staff was warm, attentive, and did a great job walking us through each course. A few small observations: The dining room was a little too dark--I love seeing my food, especially when it's so beautifully presented. Since it was my birthday, I expected a bit more than a lone candle. No cookie, treat, or even a candle placed on top of dessert--it just didn't feel special. Dessert wasn't for me. It was somewhere between a milkshake and ice cream, but with a strange mochi-like texture and an overpowering amount of lavender. It felt like eating soap. The quail course tasted amazing, but the presentation wasn't appealing. It looked a bit messy, and leaving the head on (even though it wasn't edible) felt off. That said, everything was incredible--thoughtfully crafted, delicious, and visually stunning. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and the whole experience. Highly recommend--can't wait to return!

My party of 4 was a little early, so we had a drink in the tavern downstairs first; bartender made a great whisky sour. For dinner, we did the a la carte menu. I tried: + Cabbage + Ricotta toast + Grilled broccoli + Mangalista pork chop + Ricotta dumpling + Cheeseburger + Spiced cake The highlights were the cabbage, pork chop and burger. Overall I thought the food was excellent, though I wished they offered sides (especially some type of a potato for the burger). Would have gladly paid for additional sides a la carte.

I really hope that someone (if it is just one person) in this building actually cares about food, customer service, helping people, or just spreading any sort of joy or kindness in general.....but I did not see a shred of evidence during my dinner here. Here's the shorthand for anyone who doesn't want to read my family's story: The water tastes like blood here. The service is abysmal and takes way too long. The vibe is very unwelcoming and unpleasant. The food is low effort and extremely overpriced. Here is my experience: We had a group of six, we left the little ones at home- my niece and her older cousin. The family was stoked to have a night to have some good drinks, laughs, and food on our airbnb vacation. This was pretty much the only restaurant in the area so we had to go here. Safe to say our night and our fun came to a screeching halt. Immediately drunk patrons at the bar were yelling slurs and the bartenders laughing with them all buddy-buddy. Dirty looks from the hostess and bartenders. We are from NJ, so maybe we are just lucky and have cleaner tap water, but all our our tap waters tastes like blood to us. Straight up mercury. Same with the soda from the tap. Awful. Our extremely unhappy (from the start) waitress rolled her eyes when we told her this and asked for other water. We were brought bottled water about 20 minutes later by a different angry waiter. The service was abysmal. Everyone in there, including the bartenders, seemed like they wanted us dead. Angry furrowed brows all around. Our entire excruciating experience was almost two hours long, and this is even with us rushing to eat and drink quickly because the vibes were so awful in there. The "pizza" we ordered was a piece of thin hard bread with about an ounce of tomato sauce drizzled on it for $40. The food was overpriced and not very good. The mashed potatoes were a liquid. My sister ordered a burger excluding vegetables that she was allergic to yet it was brought out with everything she requested to be taken off right there on the burger. Careless. No one there cares. At all. Right from the start they seemed annoyed that we showed up. I understand that working sucks- I get that, I really get that. I fucking hate my job, serious I do. But if you work at a restaurant where people come to laugh and relax and have a night out, I really think you at least should be pleasant. I have worked plenty service jobs where I hated being there, but for the sake of kindness and humanity I would treat customers like people with feelings. I wouldn't treat them like a burden or like I hated them. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I pray for the miserable souls that work here and emanate mean and unpleasant energy. There is a future full of joy and love, we just need to start by spreading it to our neighbor.

We chose to sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view of the Delaware River but three tables were occupied and three had the previous guests glasses still on the table so we chose one of the only three "clean" tables available. The table was not cleaned when the dishes were removed. The waitress said it was because the diners had just left? What does this have to do with the table being cleared of dishes but not wiped clean? No big deal the waitresses was polite and professional even if a terrible excuse maker and she wiped the table and took our order. We ordered burgers and fries. The place had been opened for the season for two days at this point but still managed to run out of French fries. I don't know how this is even possible when everything they serve comes with fries (strike two). A salad was substituted but Italian dressing was not available (very odd) we chose the honey mustard which was disgusting and tasted like watered down mustard which made the salads inedible. I'm not even sure the burger was made with real beef. I'd bet they ran out of beef too and gave me a soy burger. It was the driest most pathetic burger I have ever eaten in my 55 years and trust me I've eaten many. The drinks were tasty but I think they forgot to put alcohol in them or maybe they just aren't good at anything. With food this bad they really should get their patrons good and drink before feeding them. Seventy dollar lunch and it wasn't even worthy of boxing up and taking home for the dog.
