So my order was ready for pickup at time quoted, the staff is very friendly and grateful with customers, always nice to be thanked for ordering. The festival dumplings were great, so crispy on the outside and sweet and savory on the inside. Jerk wings were a blend of smoky, sweet and savory, very tasty, but also very messy on the fingers. Hah. For the steamed fish with veggies and white rice, fish was well seasoned and tender. Just amazing and delicious. The veggies glad they super soft and absorbed the juices, the rice was a pleasant surprise they use basmati rice over long grain for white rice, hardly ever see it used, plus rice was soft and loved how like the veggies got that flavor bath as well. They really should advertise more here, since the food is great and definitely adds to Walden since it's either Mexican, Chinese or Italian food as your only options.

She looked at my wife, daughter then looked away. The men at the bar turned to look at us a couple times not friendly at all. I tried smiling and in that time my wife and daughter walked out later on telling me that the restaurant smelled terribly of fish, which is weird because I am the only one that doesn't even eat fish. I just found the odor very very strong at the time. I then proceeded to still try to get her to acknowledge me and say we could sit anywhere being that the place was large and Noone besides the 2 men were in there. I walked out in disbelief. Really upset with this experience as we were very excited to try the food. We love Jamaica, Jamaican people and love Jamaican food... unfortunately would never go back. We went to eat down the road elsewhere ..

My wife and I were looking for somewhere different to get away for our anniversary this year, and I…read moredidn't think she'd ever been to the Catskills area. We stumbled on the Inn at the Ridge through some Google searching. We only spent two nights, Friday and Saturday, so we were treated to Sal's weekend cooking. Easily among the best food at a B&B that we've ever had. When I booked, I didn't realize that I had booked the one room with a disconnected bathroom. Yes, it's private, but downstairs. Since the Inn wasn't completely full, they offered to relocate us to another open room, we didn't ask, they just suggested it. The house is old, like real old, so expect some quirks like wide creaky floors etc. The beds were quiet though, which was the important thing. Each room is uniquely decorated. The Inn is a nice distance from busy areas but not so far as to be a hardship. It's extremely close to Angry Orchard's Innovation cider mill, a state park with great trails, and even a little college town. I could probably go on, but Yelp's review editor is giving me issues. We'd definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Our room was very comfortable with a king-sized bed. The location was perfect - close to Minnewaska state park, as well as several nearby towns and a few good restaurants. The breakfasts were the highlight of the experience! One of the hosts is a CIA-trained chef and he made fabulous food for us - chocolate-stuffed french toast, a great frittata, and more. They serve breakfast at a communal table, which is nice for getting to talk to the other guests there. We would definitely stay here again.

ALERT: NO MORE $3 MARTINIS!!!!!!…read more So I definitely was one of the people who let the cat out of the bag on this one! I hate gate keeping and I know myself, my husband, and many of my friends supported this place. I mean seriously $3 martini night was something that made this place a gem but without it I honestly don't see us coming back! This place truly has sooooo much potential. I wish I could help them with some ideas to really make this restaurant the spot to be. I can tell you now though charging $19 for a martini is not it!! Also I tried their new banana bread martini and it wasn't great. Which makes it worst that it's so much more money. I mean I am truly a nobody but I have a list of ideas for them if they ever want to know because this place truly has great bones. Here's one for free. On one of your lowest sale nights I'm assuming Thursday because that's when you had your $3 special, why not offer girl dinner? A $25 special that includes two basic flavored martinis and French fries. For $30 include two Caesar or house salads. I gaurantee people with order that. And you can't tell me you are getting hit too hard for food cost for salad and fries? But also you gotta change your decor up a bit. Look at the surrounding restaurants that are charging that much for a martini and the vibe of the place. If I'm going to spend bougie money I want to feel like I'm in a bougie spot!

Walking inside, it's a different experience at Wright's Farm. This visit, I want to buy a bottle of local wine and some local cheese then go back to the hotel. I see there is a very nice selection of Hudson Valley and regional wines. I also buy a nice local, spreadable cheese along with some crackers. I noticed towards the back, I see a wall of homemade jams. And they're all packaged in these cute mason jars! Strawberry Jelly is a must but then we went a little nutzo with a few more jam flavors as well as homemade apple sauces, fresh cheeses and pickles! Sunday, its check out time and we're heading back to Long Island after breakfast. My wife said we need to go shopping for dinner today. I said, Let's go back to Wright's Farm and pick up dinner? And this was the highlight of our trip. In the cold cases, I see homemade ravioli, one of the stuffings was corn? I had plans to stop in The Bronx and get a few boxes of Raviolis. I gambled and said lets try their corn ravioli. O.M.G. This ravioli was fantastic! My wife made it with fresh sage from our herb garden. It was a little pricey but it was better than anything I had this year. For the week, we bought a large ham steak and a ham hock for pea soup. I saw something interesting, a black futsu squash? I told my wife, lets buy one and take a chance. Amazing! My wife cooked this squash and it came out deelish. Dessert? My sons inhaled the apple cider doughnuts we bought home for them. Wright's Farm, it was a pleasant surprise to discover your local farmstand.

Being only about 2 1/2 hours drive from Long Island it is well worth the pilgrimage to this incredible family run farm!
