Though their shop was crazy busy at the time, they stopped to do a quick diagnostic, found the simple problem and solution, and fixed it to send us on our way back home. females beware this is a bad place. they will rip you off! i saved the woman of my dreams from this total ripoff. she only needed her oil changed but they asked her if anything else was wrong. she said the engine had a tick. they would'nt change the oil but wanted $350 to give her an estimate for repair. i changed the oil for $21.61 myself and took it to my honest repair shop for the tick. thank god their honest and not looking to only make money but take care of the customer honestly. my shop did the diagnostics and repair for $350. i really hope you get to read this! inmotion egg me on for more as i tried to warn you. im not only doing this here but will hit with a warning on google. shame on them... read more

Check engine light came on, went in to see what's wrong with it. They charge $150 diagnostic fee; they don't waive if the do the work is done there. They charge different diagnostic fee for different areas of the car, not inclusive. This is a scam and a waste of money in my opinion. If customer doesn't get the work done there, fine I agree with the charge, but it should be waived if work stays. They stated I need a new catalytic converter. I agree to the work, paid $2000 for it and was on my way. Few months later, check engine light came on again. They told me I needed a new catalytic converter. Yes, I was livid. I just replaced it! Excuses came flying, they explained we replaced Bank 1 and not Bank 2. It was never explained to me that there was two parts. I just threw good money away on a band aid fix. On a 14-year-old car, its recommended to replace both banks at the same time. At least I should of been given a choice and told and explained that this could happen. They put on a good show, took advantage of me. I did a review on their Facebook page as well. They deleted the post. Their rating is false, if they can delete negative reviews, then how can you trust them to do right by you? read more

We've been taking our car to InMotion for a little over three years now, and have never regretted our decision. We switched to InMotion after moving to a neighborhood which was relatively close, and thought we'd give them a try. Our first experience has been like every experience, whether it's just an oil change, or more complicate work, fantastic. Regardless of the work we have done, they will always give us the a report on the cars condition, and check everything over. The report is very thorough and we receive a print out copy, and have a copy emailed to us. In most cases, the report list items that would be nice to have done, but not absolutely necessary. Sometimes, the report lists items that are more urgent. We always get the honest breakdown on the findings, from Jared, or one of the other staff regarding what needs done, and what can wait, or what isn't that important. Most of the time, there's nothing urgent enough to even mention, but when there is, they are completely non-pressure. The will let us know the details in a way we can understand, and leave the decision totally up to us. They have never pressured us. A few times there were items found that may cause serious damage or safety, and they will let us know, but still not pressure us to have any work done on it. If there are a few items that do need to get fixed, and you decide to have the most important ones done, they will work with you to decide which ones are better to do now, and which ones could be put off until later, again with complete non-pressure. Almost every time we've had more done than an oil change, we have noticed a big difference in the way the car drives when after we've picked it up. We've never had to take the car back after it's been serviced, due to any issues, and have always been very happy with what was done to it. Our car is getting older (2008), and I hate to get rid of it because it still looks and runs great, because we try to take care of it, but it is getting to the point where it does need a bit more work from time to time. It's comforting to know we have an honest and reputable place to take our car where we know they will not try to take advantage of us, and will always do a great job on anything we have done. They can do just about any type of work. We had our clutch burn out last year when my wife was driving, and I was in the hospital at the time. She called InMotion, and they took care of everything, from the towing to the repairs, and there was very little my wife needed to do. They have always been very friendly and professional every time we have taken our car in, no exceptions. I'm sure we'll be taking our current car in for quite a few more years, based on it's continued performance, and the great work that they do, and will definitely want to take our new car in when we decide to eventually get a new one. Why go anywhere else when we get so much bang for our dollar at InMotion. I know we could save a little money by taking our car to a cheap oil changing service, but we care too much about our vehicle to risk not having the job done right, and not getting nearly the personal care and expertise workmanship we have gotten here, just to save a few dollars. We are so glad to have found a place we can trust and always gives us great service on all the work they do. read more

Always considerate and great about updating me on progress and timeline. Their friendliness is genuine and I enjoy working with them. I started going here out of convenience because I used to work nearby. Even though I have relocated out of the vicinity, I would rather go out of my way and drive across town to have these guys take care of me and my car, than go anywhere else. The prices and rates are reasonably competitive and, coupled with the level of customer service they provide, the experience is off the charts. Service has always been incredibly friendly and professional. They treat me like I'm their only customer. They explain things to you at your level. Whatever your automotive knowledge is, be it novice or expert, they put it in layman's terms and make professional recommendations, so that I can make an informed decision, without all of the high pressure up-sell, for the sake of sales, nonsense that annoys the living daylights out of me when I have gone other places. If I go in for one thing, and there IS in fact something else they find that needs attention, they make me aware and let me know my options and what kind of time table I am looking - aka if it is critical or is not (to personal/road safety vs. things that you want to keep in the back of your mind and address or budget for later on, etc.). I used to be of the mindset that I would shop around and try to find the cheapest place to do okay, decent or good work. Now, I won't hesitate to drive across town and gladly pay the extra price for this level of combined quality and customer service! read more

I called in for an estimate on a break job. I was quoted a price and when I said is that for all 4 wheels the advisor said yes. I made arrangements to drop it off that day. I then got a call that my front wheels were done. I said to the gentleman the estimate was for all 4 wheels. He said you'll have to talk to the service advisor that you talked to originally. He called back and said that he did not say it was for 4 wheels. He said he had a recording of our conversation and I said that's great please play it back. After a few minutes he came back and said that they did not have a recording of that conversation. Very convenient on their part!! I told him that I had three other estimates for a 4 wheel brake job that was similar in price to his 2 wheel brake job! He said he didn't care and he was going to put my old parts back on my car and send me on my way! I told him that was a waste of his time and my time, that we should be able to come to some kind of agreement that would be reasonable to both of us. I could tell he was not being cooperative so I asked to talk to the owner of the business. She listened to what I had to say and agreed to a payment for the front brakes. Her cooperation is the reason I'm giving a two star instead of a one star rating!!! I suggest any customer getting a estimate from this establishment make their own recording because evidently their recordings are only for their benefit!! I won't be back!!!! read more

Took good care on my Subaru for an oil change. Had my own supplies as I like to use Amsoil and they took care of it. Very nice place to go.

We all know how it feels to get screwed over by a crook mechanic. My friends have been told that oil was changed and had it double checked only to realize it never was. They've been told oil filters needed replaced only to find out that was a dirty one out of the trash. One of my friends had an oil change, got back on the highway with her 4 kids, and the unlatched hood flew up against the window. (Thank god she's not dead today). And that's just the small stuff. The big work is even scarier. A family member had a couple new tires put on and his front wheel fell off while he was driving 75 mph down the freeway. Again...thank god HE isn't dead too. Tons of mechanics are thieves. That's just a fact, especially at the Walmarts, Jiffy Lubes, etc of the world. Not saying they're all bad but I've seen, heard, and experienced WAY more negative than positive. So, a high quality mechanic with integrity is earth shattering when you find them. It's your lucky day every time you work with In Motion! So if you want fair prices, high quality work, and excellent service, this is the ONLY place for you in Lincoln. read more

I brought my car in for service...great staff. When I got my bill, I was surprised at the cost. No parts were itemized, then I received a charge for according to the service department, "for rags and other stuff" we need to fix your car. Never have seen this before!!!!!! I was very surprised for the cost of , "rags and other stuff". Again great staff, great service, but the price definitely was a little suspect. read more

I recently took my van into them for service and they found the cause of a problem I had been having with my steering. They fixed it and I found the cost to be extremely reasonable and the quality of work and parts they used also very good. I found that Sherri and Jared and all the staff were very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. They answered all my questions and did a greta job. I cannot say enough about the great job they do. We were travelling from Indiana back home to Colorado when our car was hit by a semi. We were towed to inMotion Auto Care in Lincoln, NE. To say that they were amazing in helping us is a huge understatement. They ensured that we had transportation to hotel that had restaurants nearby since our vehicle was inoperable. The staff kept us posted and coordinated not only the engine repairs, but the body work, as well. Because of the extensive damage, we had to get a rental car to get home. When we returned to Lincoln three weeks later to get our repaired car, same amazing level of service and professionalism. We were so very impressed in how we were treated. My daughter was stranded on the east side. Living out of state I had to rely on online reviews to tell her where to tow the car. InMotion was very helpful and polite. A number of repairs could have been recommended given the symptoms and potential damage to the vehicle. I was very pleased with the accurate diagnosis. Only needed repairs were made and they made sure the repair was working well before calling it done. I would not hesitate to visit this shop again. A great find under tough circumstances. I know you don't have to do this, and I don't have to go into in motion either. now over all I am happy with in motion, there is one thing: FYI: if I can not get an estimate on the work, including prices, then I can not deal with in motion. who in the world wants price shock from surprises. I know you said you would get me estimate, well that was over 2 weeks ago, and I have not seen the estimate. sound like you don't want to mess with the work. the preceding is my message to Chris at in motion. it is my experience with them. they did give me reason to seek a 2nd opinion. the 2nd opinion people were happy to give me prices right on the spot, following a free inspection. I think in motion does good work, but they don't seem to like to quote prices. good work, but need improvement on some issues I have mentioned. read more

We came to In Motion to get a second opinion on exhaust work for our son's car in 2012. They gave us options we were never given at our old service station to save us money. Overall it has cost us less than we were previously paying for car maintenance & service. We have ALWAYS gotten an explanation of the work that needs to be done & a price to complete the work before they start. We ALWAYS get an inspection report emailed to us about potential problems & a rating of importance that they be fixed. We've ALWAYS been talked to with respect on drop-off & pick-up. We've even been given the chance to come take a personal look at the issue before giving the go ahead. They'll give you a ride to/from work or home & one time I even got a loaner car for the day since I drive for work. Quality people & quality work. Very satisfied. read more

You could be easily deceived if you don't ask them about the cost at the beginning. I had a starter problem and the mechanic went drove 200 meters to check the car and spent 10 minutes to start the car. But he told me that the ignition lock needs to be replaced. When we went to the repair shop the front desk representative told me that the mechanic will check again and let you know how much it will cost you for repair. Then he came up with two figures $469 and $369. I told him that I might first try with a new key from Toyota dealership, but he said if I don't repair I need to pay $100 for labor cost. I knew I need to pay something as mechanic spent some time, but not aware that they will charge $100 just to check what is wrong. Finally, I negotiated with them and they agreed to do it with $269. I feel that I spent this money unnecessarily. No doubt, their service is good but one need to be careful about the actual cost at the beginning. I might not go again for my car repair. read more
