I requested a phone…read morecall and didn't receive one in a couple of hours so I called the shop with a little hesitation. Online it said they would get back within an hour. Hmmm... Pete Gascon answered the call and immediately looked it up and saw that he accidentally sent an email instead of clicking for a phone call. His apology was sincere so I went in. When I got there I asked if he could take a look at the window washer which was filled with some strange anti freeze that had been put into the container and it was disaster. Also included were the little nozzles which were way off kilter and one side barely reached the bottom of the windshield. My question was: "How much might it cost?" He said he wouldn't charge me to check it out, no problem. Awesome! I'd contacted the Hyundai dealership about the water sprayer for the windshield a few months before and they said it would be something they would have to replace and it was about $175! I decided to keep pushing the pump button. Guess where I'm never going to do business... Back to the good story. A while later Pete asked me to come look and the gunk was gone 100% and water came through clear. They were still working on the "sprinkler system". OK, I'm not a mechanic and don't know the right jargon. So I watched and they went to battle. They were able after a few tries to blow out the stuff in the hoses/tubes/whatever they are and then they pushed the button and the water flew like the wind, covering the top of the car! From Mutt to Jeff... Then they worked on the nozzle placements and the power. The two of them worked like a smooth machine, a never give up attitude. GET THIS! No charge! Unbelievable! My wiper blades were getting shot so you bet, I bought them from Midas on the spot! And they were reasonable! Very reasonable! The service was way over my expectations and way over the guarantee to make me 100% happy. Pete also gave me the online coupon, by the way. We have a jewel of a Midas Owner here in Lincoln! And I have a shop that I can trust!

I delayed posting a public review because I wanted to give ownership an opportunity to address the…read moresituation privately first. I contacted ownership on a few different occasions but did not receive a response. At this point, after already bringing the vehicle back multiple times and still having unresolved issues, I do not feel comfortable trusting this location with my vehicle. On February 23rd, I brought in my Chevy Malibu after it went into reduced power mode and the check engine light came on. Later that day, Pete called and explained what he said needed to be done, including a turbo replacement and a brake/caliper service. The quoted price for the turbo replacement seemed high compared with what I would have expected from other shops, so I chose not to approve the repair over the phone right away. Instead, I picked up the vehicle and reviewed the written estimate at home so I could think it over. The written estimate was for $4,618.16 to replace the turbo. While reviewing it, I noticed the brake/caliper service Pete had mentioned when he called listed on the estimate as "Clean & lubricate caliper anchors, slides, and bolts" for $78.75 per axle. When Pete explained it to me over the phone when he called originally, he indicated that this service had to be done as part of the turbo repair, even though it did not appear related to the turbo issue. That raised concerns for me about why it was included on the original estimate and presented that way in the first place. After thinking it over, I ultimately decided to move forward with the repair because I needed the vehicle and the shop had availability. I brought the vehicle back for the repair. I picked it up on February 25th, and the caliper service was not included on the final invoice. While I was not ultimately charged for that service, it was still concerning that it appeared on the original estimate and was described over the phone as something that had to be done as part of the turbo repair. Unfortunately, later that same evening while driving back to Lincoln from Omaha, the vehicle lost power again, the check engine light came back on, and oil was all over the engine bay. I had to pay $389.48 to have the car towed back to Lincoln. The shop then told me a hose and banjo bolt had failed and replaced those parts. After that, the vehicle continued to have problems. I noticed a strong burning smell while driving and at idle, along with a small oil leak in my parking stall. I brought the vehicle back on February 28th to have those issues inspected. I was told they could not find a leak and that the smell was normal for a new turbo. Nearly one full oil-change interval later, the burning smell still occurs occasionally, and the same slow oil leak is still present. This leak was not happening before the turbo repair. Between the diagnostic fee, turbo replacement, and tow bill, I spent $4,843.41 on this repair, and the vehicle has more issues after the repair than it did when the process began. I have documentation of the estimate, final invoice, tow receipt, and my attempts to contact ownership. Based on the cost of the repair, the issues that followed, the unresolved oil leak and burning smell, the concerns I had with the original estimate, and the lack of response from ownership, I would not feel comfortable recommending this location for major repairs, if any at all. I would also recommend that anyone who has had work done at this location carefully review their estimates and final invoices to make sure they were not charged for services that were not needed, not approved, or not actually performed. If you do notice any, you may also want to consider contacting the appropriate consumer protection agency, such as the Nebraska Attorney General's consumer complaint office.

Without a doubt I've spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars with Jiffy Lube. I recently purchased a new (to me) car, and wanted a fluid top off before its first oil change. We're going on a trip and wanted to make sure everything is good before we hit the road. Frustratingly, Jiffy Lube wouldn't honor our customer loyalty, and said we had to get an oil change on this specific car before they would do a fluid top off. I'm not some random guy off the street taking advantage of this free service. I have demonstrated that loyalty through the years of having Jiffy Lube maintain my vehicles. The employees at this Jiffy Lube threw all those years of good relationships out the window with this interaction. Your money is better spent at a shop that actually cares about your long-term relationship with them.
