My 73-year-old recently widowed mother-in-law brought her car here to get it ready for a drive to California. They charged her over $3000 for various things (1/3 the value of her car....), including "fixing" an oil leak. After driving for a couple of hours, her check engine light came on (this happened right after the last time she went to them as well, and they charged her another $700 to fix it). She immediately pulled over (as did I, following in a U-Haul truck) and called the mechanic (Cory) on speaker phone. Cory said not to worry, the car was mechanically sound and she could keep driving, likely just a sensor fault again. He said he didn't know why this kept happening, and to take her car to a Lexus dealership in California upon arrival, as they would have better "diagnostics tools" for her particular car. The next day, the car's engine seized up and the car is now a brick. She and I have both called Walker Tire and left multiple VMs for the manager, with no response. Walker Tire destroyed her car and then ghosted her. This is absolutely ridiculous and beyond unethical. OWNERSHIP SHOULD BE ASHAMED. read more

I brought my car into Walker Tire on October 9, 2024 for repairs which cost $1,526.42. When I was driving home my check engine light and two other lights came on. I called Cory at Walker and he told me to bring it back. He charged me another $714.39, $199.60 for the part and $367.31 for labor for an 02 sensor. I took my car in again on August 29, 2025 to get it all ready to drive to California to live near my daughter and grandchildren. The charge was $3,043.63, which included fixing an oil leak, new rear brakes, new spark plugs, etc. Again when I left Walker the check engine light and other two lights came on again. I took it back and they said they put in a new 02 sensor as before but for some reason did not charge me. When I got to North Platte on way to LA my check engine light and the other two lights came on again. I called Cory and he said to turn the car off and then back on and that resets the system and the lights should go off. He also told me he thought I could drive safely all the way to LA because I would not encounter any bad weather. Just outside of Denver I stopped for gas and when I turned the car back on the lights were off as Cory said. When I got 8 miles outside of Beaver UT the check engine light came back on as did all the other lights and my engine seized. I had to pay to have it towed back to Beaver, stay in a hotel for two nights, rent a UHaul, which cost $688.28, to transfer all the packed boxes in my car. I am now in a new city and state with no car. i tried contacting Walker Tire's manager, left several messages, and have never received a response. I have also tried calling the Owner Nick with no answer. This whole ordeal has taken an emotional toll on me. I feel Walker Tire needs to take responsibility for the work that was not performed properly. read more

In Lincoln on business from Sioux City. Had a major tire issue and was directed to Walker Tire. Very helpful. Because of time constraints I was in a real bind. They came up with a reasonable used tire that was good enough to get me back home. They mounted, balanced and put it on my car for no charge. Everyone I worked with was great, I wish I had thought to get their names. If I lived in Lincoln, Walker Tire would be my go guys. read more

Couldn't have gotten better service. Had tried one other store first that was closer to home, and they said they couldn't help me with the screw in my tire. Called into Walker Tire and talked with someone who quickly told me they would work me in. Nick Jr and his team took great care of my car, and in no time the tire was fixed. A friend of mine had some basic maintenance done on her car here and warned me that it cost $750+, about $300 more than anyone else's estimates. I got a couple tires repaired for $20-25 each time and was impressed with the cleanliness and order of the shop, the friendly faces and customer service, so I kind of disregarded her warnings. Well my wife goes to get a routine 100k maintenance service today and I expected a few hundred dollars- $905.39 for spark plugs, intake cleaner, "engine labor", fuel treatment, transmission flush, power steering flush, oil change, and air filters. I wish I knew how many of these were necessary, but too late now. They started on it right away so by the time she called around and realized she was getting ripped off, she had to just let them finish. Same thing they did to my friend. I'm livid. Our regular mechanic could have done this for $300max, but he was busy this week and we needed it done before the weekend. Unless you're loaded and willing to pay 300% value for good customer service and branding, go somewhere else. PLEASE. I'll recommend the pants off other places for you. read more

Very awesome guys! I got lied to by another car shop and took my car here for a second opinion they were honest with me, friendly and fit my car into their busy schedule. They also fixed the problem for $1300 less than what I got quoted at the last car shop and explained really clearly what was ACTUALLY wrong with it instead of telling me to replace tons of parts that didn't need replaced. Glad I finally found a trustworthy car shop! :))) so thankful for these guys! read more

Truly outstanding service. They have a mechanic, who is extremely conscientious, well trained, intelligent, eloquent and trustworthy. The guys here know their stuff and will give you good advice on anything from basic tires to the most complex repairs. Definitely more than a tire and oil change place. Also nice that it's downtown. Not many places any more downtown where you can leave your car in the morning before work and have it done by noon or at the close of business. read more

We bought our new tires at Walker Tire downtown Lincoln. I can't praise these tires or the service we received from Bob and Nick Jr. enough. Thanks to these tires, my rear-wheel drive car propels through snow and ice without any trouble...and this is compared to the front-wheel drive car we owned last year. The difference in how this car drives now and how it drove before the tire upgrade is beyond words. Finally, I took my car in last week for an oil change, they offered me a ride to wherever I wanted to go if I didn't want to wait, and the job was done within an hour. Phenomenal service. I do not reccomend this place. Asked for a quote to get something fixed and they charged $100 for getting a quote. They didn't tell me they were going to charge for just getting a quote. After arguing about this, they still charged me $40.00. Rip off. Stay away. Their quote: $1,420. Competitors quote: $394. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR REPAIRED HERE. read more
