NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! My son has a 2016 Ram 1500. Diagnostic stated #2 misfire, okay. He is a 1st time in taking his vehicle to the garage. He called made an appointment for a Thursday. Dropped the vehicle off on Wednesday night. 2 DAYS Later, they didn't even take the vehicle in their garage. I called, being a dad on Thursday, no call back. Called again on Friday, finally a callback. No estimate. Came there after work, they wanted to snowblow me with a lot of nonsense that didn't answer their solution to what the vehicle came in for, #2 misfire. Later on that evening, we took the truck with no service to the truck. Their parking lot is full of no plate, junk cars. They will overcharge, over diagnosis and leave you broke. read more

THE WORST PLACE EVER. I brought my car to them because I asked if they were able to look at it and get whatever done pretty fast and they said of course and here we are 7 weeks later and I finally get told I need a new engine. They didn't communicate with me that they had a worker sick or anything . Just kept saying oh next week, oh next week it'll be done. DO NOT RECCOMEND. also I told them I traded the car in so someone would be by to get it and he tried asking if they could just keep it. Absolutely not. My son's radiator went out on Sunday afternoon on a road trip home for the holidays. Thankfully he was only 10 mins from this wonderful shop. He was traveling with his girlfriend and his dog and the owner, Dave, was kind enough to drive them to their hotel for the night. First thing Monday morning, the mechanic was working on the radiator and had them up and going later that afternoon. Dave called on Christmas Eve to make sure my son made it home safely. Would leave 0 if I could but man this is the most sorry excuse for a repair shop I've seen, the manager or at least I think it was the manager, was so rude and unprofessional, would constantly leave when asking him a question about how long it'd take (which he never once answered) to talk to other customers or coworkers about things that they could've waited (like price of items and old orders they had coming) keep in mind I jut went in FOR A SIMPLE TIRE REPLACEMENT, I provided the old tire and rim along with the new tire and it took me OVER AN HOUR to complete this simple task. Just for a tire replacement I had to fill out a form about year and make of the car, license plate information, my home address and personal phone number I've been to some sketchy places to have my car fixed in the past but I'd rather go to the downtown of Detroit in the worst area possible to get my car fixed in the future than ever coming back here again! read more

I was so lucky to have happened upon this business. A flat on the interstate on a Saturday night I was just out doing a little bit of traveling to build my photography skills. Initially they weren't going to be able to get to my car until 3:00 or 4:00 but when they heard what I was trying to do they were able to help. Not only did they fix my tire they discovered another problem with one of my other tires which they also fixed and they picked me up from the hotel so I could get on the road. We stopped in with our 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, on the second to last day of a 17-day road trip. The air conditioning seemed to be failing, so we wanted to have it checked so that we could be comfortable for the last two days of our drive home (this was mid-September). We called ahead when we were about an hour out, and they told us they would do would they could. We arrived and hour later and they almost immediately got to work checking out the car. Unfortunately, they weren't able to make any repairs, but they did provide us with some insight as to what was wrong and what we needed to have done by the Chevy dealer when we got home. And, they didn't charge us anything for the diagnostic. To make things better, they gave us a call on Monday after we were back home to make sure we got home ok!! That's GREAT service! read more

I can call a vehicle in and drop it off same day. Vehicle is immediately worked and usually ready for pickup 24-36 hours later, even when extensive work is needed. Customer service is great and the owner is friendly. They have a large flatscreen in the lobby you can watch while you wait for an oil change or other minor work. This place gave us great service. We had trouble with a spark plug and had a few other things fixed, changed filters to make the car run better. We were back on the road in 5 hours after the problem was diagnosed. We were on our way from California to Cinncinati to the Olds Nationals, the car is my 1991 Olds delta 88, it usually runs great. My hubby is a car guy not a mechanic but he knows his way around a car repair job. He was pleasantly surprised by the price and delighted by the level of service. Worst car repair experience I ever had. It was an emergency and I needed my car back ASAP, so a 24 hour repair seemed like a no-brainer. Took it in and it took A FULL FREAKING WEEK to get it back, and the kicker, my car wasn't really fixed and I was stuck with a $300+ bill. Ripped off hardcore. I complained and was given a "we don't care pay us" attitude. Being a person of my word, I paid their stupid bill and reported them to the better business bureau. Crooks. I read reviews of people passing through Lincoln and being able to get service right away... Completely different story for me; my window dropped and wouldn't roll up- in below 0 weather. They were the closest repair service to me. I explained my situation to the clerk and asked if someone could pull up the window and just tape it up for now. Because I could see they were busy I added that I would be willing to wait however long. The clerk ROLLED HER EYES and told me I would have to wait until next Tuesday (it's Friday) because they are jammed. Okay, I understand that, could you tell me the closest jiffy lube? "They wouldn't be able to help you." Is there anyone close that I could go to? Then she answered the phone and proceeded to ignore me. I was more polite than I should've been, and decided to walk out the door before I lost my shit. This is the place to go if you're in Lincoln. We were driving from Chicago and heard a rattling noise from under the hood. This had come up earlier in the year in Chicago, and we were told it was a broken transmission. The transmission was rebuilt, which was very costly, but the sound remained. I specifically had requested all mechanics we went to to evaluate the heat shield, but it looks like no one did. The guys at 24 Hour Auto Repair fixed it within 15 minutes, and it only cost me $13! As this is a 24 hour service, I asked for my vehicle to be towed to their location at 6:30 at night because it died while I was driving. It sat OVER NIGHT in a bad neighborhood unlocked with the keys in it, and when I called in the morning to check on it they had no record of my vehicle. Got towed here at 10pm a few nights ago after our car died on the highway, only to be disappointed that the name is misleading, it's not "24 hours" at all. We got a motel while we waited for the shop to open in the morning. To add to the disappointment, the shop put in a new battery in our car when the real problem was the alternator. I should have known this myself, but I made the mistake of trusting the mechanics. They told me the alternator was totally fine. We got hosed: a few hours down the road, our car died again and we were stuck at night on the shoulder of the highway. When I went to Autozone and checked the alternator myself, it was totally broken. I highly recommend avoiding this shop. They wouldn't take any responsibility for their poor diagnosis and service. read more

I have taken my truck twice to 24 hour auto. When other shops can't get you in for a week, David has been able to get my truck in same day or next day. Most of the negative reviews seem to be from people who are trying to make their emergency the shop's emergency. That's not how it works. If they are busy(which they always are) they can't save the day for people. I've had minor and major work done, and for both the prices have been fair. The owner even walked me inside the shop to show me my old parts that were junk to show me how bad my vehicle was before they fixed it. My major front end work,oil change,window regulator,alignment,brakes,rotors,ball bearings, axles, everything it seems! was originally quoted at almost $2000, which would of been in the ballpark according to my research on labor and parts costs. I got a call from David telling me they came in under budget at just under $1800. I already agreed to the original price, if they are so crooked, why did they make that phone call? Work is guaranteed for 3 years. I think the facilities are great. Nice bathroom and waiting room. Friendly. read more

The heater in my truck went out. I called about 4 or 5 shops, and every one of them said it'd be Tuesday by the time they could have me drop the truck off. When I called 24 hour auto, they said I could drop it off the next morning (called about 5 pm on Thursday, dropped it off Friday at noon). Within a couple hours, they knew the issue and called me back with the estimated price. This shop is open until 10 pm, so they were able to work on the truck all afternoon and I was able to pick it up that same evening. After my car broke a tie rod, I had AAA tow my vehicle. The shop was recommended by AAA, so I had it taken here. Big mistake. This was on a Thursday. Despite being "24 Hour" Auto Repair, they told me they may not be able to finish it until Monday. I said that was fine, I was going to be out of town over the weekend and I would pick it up on Monday. Monday came, it wasn't finished. And so it went for the rest of the week. On Friday, I told them I needed it done and was told explicitly it would be ready to go by 8:00pm. After walking to the shop (a little over an hour from my place) it wasn't done. Because of this, I missed a bus I was supposed to catch that night. I was told I could get it the next morning. I was dropped off by my wife on her way to work at 2:00pm the next day. And then, just to add insult to injury, I still waited another hour for them to finish up. All told, a broken tie rod took nine days and just shy of $700 (with all the suspicious additions to the bill) to fix. Wouldn't bring my car back here if it was free. read more

I must Warn people about this place!!!! Aug. 2011 I was having cooling problems & my car was overheating. They put anew radiator and heater core in my car $900. It was still over heating , they said it was thermostat housing gasket $140. I still had overheating problems, I feared it might be cracked head,head gasket,or water pump,they said it was a faulty gauge not to worry about it. 2 weeks later the radiator blew ,I towed it back to them and they said it was all of the above plus a hole in the radiator it would cost me $2,000 ,I decided to junk the car they said to sign the title over to them and they could get me $300 -$800 for it so I did and That was in May 2012 It is now Sept. 2012 and no word from them, I have tried numerouse times to call them and even stopped in to see what was going on and talk to David the owner but he is always away.
