Funeral home is horrible! Lack of communication and breech of contract! My mother passed away on March 1, 2021 and was in the care of Inland Memorial for over a month until her funeral April 29, 2021. When I was making funeral arrangements they had offered me free of charge hair lockets of my mother's hair and fingerprints. At the funeral they did not give me those items until a week after Gracie called me saying they had fingerprints for me that they should of been given to me on the funeral but weren't. I asked about the hair lockets and her response was your mother didn't have hair! Yes my mother did! I have proof, a picture of her deceased with hair. They just neglected to do their job. Refrigeration ate her hair away. Things like that are precious and irreplaceable. I don't recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Very irresponsible business, think twice or more before you make your decision with them. Our love one had pass away since August 2021, we had paid everything to Inland Memorial, Inc, and was told that due to COVID, our dead certificate will be ready in 4 months. as January 2022, we have not yet rec'd the dead certificate, and was told that someone in the office mistaken the gender of our love ones on the certificate and will need to redo it since Nov. 2021. First of all, when this was happened, no one had ever notify us, and we had been pushing to get the certificate. Second, as today April 2022, we still not getting anything, I had try many phone calls but no one ever returning my calls. I was first handle by Gracie in Riverside office and now she told me I have contact Upland office since she is not working there, but no one ever replied from both office. I just like to say, losing the love one is hurting enough, we just like to get this taken care as soon as we could and continue on our life, but since we haven't got our certificate, we feel like our left stuck there and we had keep reminding ourselves this unfinished task, and this is like a wound in our heart that can't never be heal. read more

This place is the worse EVER. My mom passed away December 3rd 2022. We just go her remains today over 2 months later. The entire process was a nightmare and worse experience ever. They lied over and over saying they emailed me the documents I needed to sign and I never got them until I finally got in touch with the supervisor. He finally got someone to help me and she was really nice but once she went out on medical leave the ball was dropped again. I 100% regret taking my mother to them. As if our family wasn't suffering enough with losing our mother. Their customer service is horrible!! I finally spoke to the OWNER Karyn and told her I feel they should give me a refund and she never responded to that request. If I could give them a zero I would. My sister went to their office and said the lady look like she's on drugs, no wonder!!' I'm Just letting everyone know my experience with this company!!! I wasn't sure what to expect when I was decided to go with Inland Memorial for the services for my Mother, who had recently passed. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised with the speed and efficiency of the services I received. Inland memorial was able to help me right away on such short notice. I had less than a week to plan my mother's viewing and burial. I was Initially concerned about the time and cost of the services, but my worries quickly put to ease when Inland made exceptions to give me what I wanted. The pricing was fair and a fraction of what I was quoted from other competitors in the area. All in all, everything went smoothly and I'm very happy with the services I received. The staff was very kind and professional. They made the process much easier to deal with as I was still grieving from the loss of my mother. If you are on a budget and looking for a looking for a place that won't rip you off with trying up sale you on all the fancy bells and whistles, I would recommend checking them out. read more

Don't bring your loved one here. Don't go here just to save money. The poor customer service and quality of their work will only cause you and your family more grief while you are already experiencing a difficult time. We were unhappy with my father's presentation at his viewing. He did not get cremated until two months after his death because they said they needed the death certificate first. We didn't receive a death certificate for months and they blamed the coroner. So I called the coroner myself who explained it was actually Inland Memorial who had not followed up with his doctor to fix a clarification the State was requesting on a cause of death. I ended up calling the hospital and his doctor myself, and got it fixed in one day, and processed shortly after. They called my mom to tell her his urn was ready for pick up and she mentally prepared herself for it, when she called to confirm what time she would be coming by they apologized and told her he actually wasn't ready, it was just the urn, not with his ashes that came in. My mom ordered one large urn and three small ones. When she went to pick it up they only had two of the small ones. So she had to come back again, when they made a third little one. She ordered necklaces with my dad's thumbprint with matching chains and it was delivered with a cheap thread-like chain instead. Again, don't come here. Not even for cremation services. read more

Can I select negative stars? I guess the best way to start this review in case you don't make it to the end is DO NOT seek services here. There are many other places that will offer far superior service and hopefully have some level of compassion. The manager at the Riverside location Gracie Sanchez lacks compassion and professionalism I am surprised they are still in business. She always changed her answers to questions and missed her own self imposed deadlines. But let me tell the long story. My father passed on December 16 in the early hours and we quickly made calls so we could have arrangements in place to have him picked up. He passed from non-COVID related heart failure at the Riverside University Medical Center and we didn't want him to be there all things considered with the number of deaths currently. We started by calling a bigger named mortuary and the pricing was very high. We then called Neptune Society because we had gone through them when my son had passed but due to my fathers size they were unable to accommodate him but they recommended Inland Memorial so we called them. Their pricing was much better than the first place we called and they seemed to know what they were doing. Oh I wish we would have went with the other guys. First they took almost a week to pick my father up from the hospital then another week and a half to complete the cremation. From the start of contacting them my Sister and I explained not only had our father passed but our mother had major surgery the day of his passing so there was no way should go into the location to sign documents but she could use DocuSign. The "manager" Gracie Sanchez was trying to push having my mother go into the Riverside location. I explained that due to her surgery she cannot get in and out of a car and because of the COVID risk we are avoiding leaving the house unless absolutely necessary. I asked for links to Urns and she sent me password protected links and links without pricing. I then called back and asked if we could purchase an Urn from another company and bring it to them. She said yes but it might delay us getting the remains because of COVID they would need to sanitize the outside Urn. I said that was fine so we proceeded to look at urns on other sites. When my sister called her and asked about the Urn being sent to them she turn on her word saying they could not accept urns from other companies. When my sister explained the company links she sent did not work she tried again to get us to come into the office to look through booklets. My sister again explained our mother's situation and the COVID risks especially with handling paper that others handled. At this point we decided to order the Urn and transfer our fathers remains on our own since Inland Memorial seemed to only care about the commission on selling us an overpriced Urn. From the start Gracie Sanchez touted a 2-3 week turn around on receiving the remains. Given this time frame we planned the services for a few days after the 3 week date. As most people would do my sister and I called with questions and to check on the status of things. As time progressed Gracie Sanchez decided that are calls requesting the status was too much and told my mother she would only accept calls from her and that my mother was the only one who could pick up my fathers remains. Once the 3 week mark hit Ms. Gracie Sanchez was unable to tell us where my fathers remains were or if we would get them in time for the service. My sister called the main number for the company to see if we could get someone else to help since we were no longer allowed to speak with Ms Sanchez. When my sister spoke with someone at the Hemet location she was blown away by their kindness and compassion they said they would look into the matter and have someone contact her. Well low and behold Ms Sanchez returned my sisters call and immediately demanded to know why my sister called another number, my sister explained you told me I couldn't call you. Needless to say this conversation was not a positive experience, Ms Sanchez was very rude and used this time to defend her lack of compassion with being overwhelmed. Her incompetence in the handling of this whole situation left both my sister and I in tears and my mother completely stressed. In the end Ms. Sanchez contacted my mother an hour or so after talking with sister saying she would have my father at 3pm and due to my mother health condition she would allow one of her daughters to pick up my father (just not my sister). I can say I am relieved that this whole experience with Gracie Sanchez and Inland Memorial is over. Losing my father has been the single most traumatic experience of my life and I would expect someone working with grieving families would have some level of caring and understanding. read more

First time using their services and it is the worst. We were told by hospice that this is a great place. Bullshit. ( short info) my mom passed away on july 29th, 9 hours later they showed up to pick her up told us they would call us in a few hours to go over some things, its been 3 weeks no phone call. We tried calling them drove to the office in riverside no one there. Had phone number on window we called no answer. We have been calling them every couple days nothing. Finally was able to talk with someone, they didn't know what was going on said they would look into it and call me back, no nothing. Few days later and few calls later talked with someone that told me she would get a time that week to come in and do a site down never contacted me. I wanna know what the hell is going on..worst place ever do not use them ...i would not even give them a 1 star but had to put one... Don't use there services. read more

First of all if your reading this it's probably because you have experienced the loss of a loved one and I'm sorry. My entire experience has been an absolute mess and that's aside from my emotions this is just fact driven. I'm active duty military on deployed status. My father passed away and I was able to come home to take care of things. This place was recommended to me by the family pastor. I will take the fault for assuming the recommendation from the pastor meant they would be professional and efficient at their job. The person I met with was Connie. I will agree that at the first meeting she seemed very pleasant and stated what her roles and responsibilities would be through the process. That made me at ease thinking my loved ones would be taken care of. My fathers body had to be picked up from a nearby county and Connie had told me she would call and let me know when his body would be released and picked up. That call never came my father was picked up Thursday and I was notified of it on Monday when I called their office. This lack of communication made me a little uneasy to be honest of the events that where to come. I tried getting a concrete date for my fathers funeral but she kept telling me she didn't know how long it would take to get the body ready. I figured after receiving the body it wouldn't be complicated to set a date but this process took a few days. Connie said she would call the cemetery and they would work together to schedule with each other and that never happened. After a few days of waiting on Connie I told her what we needed. I was the one who coordinated with the cemetery because she never took the initiative. Additionally Connie finally decided to call the cemetery and had the date and time I scheduled cancel (I am still trying to wrap my head around it). Cemetery called and told me that happened the day before my fathers service was supposed to happen. At this point I have family flying in and I am almost due to leave because of my deployment status. I called and talked to Connie and the original date was kept but she tried having me move it to the day I was due to fly. At this point i was very frustrated because I would miss my fathers funeral. Lastly the last time I talked to Connie face to face was 22August, she said she would order the death certificates and let me know when they came in. Today is 16Oct and I am still waiting to hear on the status or whereabouts of the death certificate. Again deployed status making phone calls whenever I get the opportunity. Communication and planning have been lacking from my experience. It's been almost two months since my father was buried and i keep hearing different dates as far as when I'll have his death certificate. UNPROFESSIONAL! I am not sure Destiny could have been worse. When my mother was having a difficult time deciding on an urn for my father's remains after he died suddenly, Destiny snapped at her to , "just pick one, they are all the same!" She also lied about FAA regulations for transportation for an out of state funeral, ordered the wrong items, refused to refund the difference for the correct items, and screamed at my mother for coming in without an appointment after telling her repeatedly that no appointments were necessary. Destiny smirked when she gave us a card with her "manager"'s phone number so it was not surprising that no one ever returned our calls. When we left, Destiny opened and slammed the door, clearly angry that we had interrupted her date. This place, and Destiny in particular, made the whole situation much much worse. read more

My mother recently passed away at night, on a holiday weekend. Since Inland Memorial had taken care of my grandmother's arrangements a few years ago, we called them again. (Or, rather, my mother's hospice nurse asked us which mortuary to call, and she called them for us). The people from Inland Memorial showed up within an hour. First, let me say, that the man who showed up at our house (again, this was around 9 or 10 pm on a holiday weekend) was dressed in slacks and a tie, very somber and appropriate, and he offered his condolences right away and told us to take our time. When he took my mom away, he said, "I promise you, we'll take good care of her." He had a helper who wore all black and they were very, very respectful the entire time. Jennifer, who works in the office, helped helped us plan the service we wanted. It was extremely affordable. My family wanted only a very small and simple service with a viewing for just immediate family members. The office told us that normally, private viewings are done only Mondays - Fridays, but I was coming from out of town, and could only make it on a Saturday or a Sunday, so they made a special arrangement for us at their facility in Colton. The viewing room they gave us was lovely. The funeral director and the office workers were so kind. They helped us pick out an urn. The whole thing cost half of what we were expecting, and since my mother was a frugal and hard-working woman, this is exactly what she would have wanted. We had our small service in that room, and everything was perfect under the sad circumstances. read more

I lost my mother a year ago. Lost my stepson 2 weeks prior to that. Lost my husband 1.5 months ago. He spent 1.5 weeks in the hospital prior to passing. I was never able to see him before he passed due to COVID and my health issues. I was devastated. He was cremated and I mailed his ashes to his mother. I wanted his wedding ring and was told that it's gone - cremated along with him. I feel like I lost him 3 times. I only have his driver's license as a keepsake. Please, don't rely on them to ask you about something so important about a jewelry. I don't think they care. It's just a business to them. read more

If I can give a zero stars that's what I would say...This business is very unprofessional. My brother in-law has passed away Over two months ago from COVID. We paid for cremation and identification of his body. Until this day his body has not been cremated and now they won't let us view his body because they said because he had passed away from COVID, which they knew from the beginning. It doesn't make sense. It's been over two months. We have called multiple times and can never get a clear answer about when his cremation is going to happen. I was almost did not even want to write a review, but given the situation...I really do think others deserve to know that this is not the best place to to come, especially if you are expecting a large crowd. This place is very small. One restroom for both men and women? Mmm not good, especially if you have kids. Dealing with death is not an easy thing - trust me. Having lost two family members in less than 30 days it is not an easy thing. What is helpful is having a company like Inland Memorial to lean on during these times. We were treated like family. They laughed with us, cried with us, and made the whole process a breeze to deal with at a time when it is hard to wake up in the morning some days, let alone having to make tough decisions of how to deal with our loved ones who are no longer with us. Not sure about these guys. Don't come here if you're expecting more than 10 people for services. We had more than 10 and it was tight. One restroom shared by both men and women which created lines. I actually asked the people who work there if there was a second restroom available and they said "no, people will just need to wait in line" - hmmmm, nice response especially in a sensitive situation (funeral). There's a way to communicate not being able to do something without being a jerk. The folks in the office need to learn this skill especially when they are in direct contact with their clients. read more

I recently lost my father and did not know where to turn to for cremation service. The social worker at the hospital gave me a list with numbers of low cost funeral services. I found Inland Memorial to have the best prices around. My family and myself are extremely happy with the cremation service that we received for my father. I will highly recommend Inland Memorial to anyone who wishes to have their loved one's cremated without having to pay high prices and receive timely and very professional services. I'm going to preface this by saying that I've worked in the funeral business for about 11+ years so I am very critical of establishments other than the one I work for. That being said, I had a friend of mine pass away early this month at a very young age and his family, who is basically my second family, asked me to help find them a place that was local for them that could handle his services and that was within their budget. I called around for pricing and ended up giving them numbers for Preston & Simon's and Inland Memorial - the two lowest prices I found. I went with them to Preston's to make the arrangements and sign the contract and it was an absolute nightmare. The counselor who was making the arrangements, who also happened to be the owner, was absolutely dreadful. He was rude, cold and lied to them about specific practices that he claimed ALL funeral homes used that just simply weren't true. He was also charging them ridiculous fees for services that should just be a courtesy. When I told him I worked in this business and that I knew what he was saying was not true, he basically told us he wasn't going to argue the law and we could take our business elsewhere. And we did....gladly. (Do your loved ones and yourselves a favor and never go there!!) We called Lisa at Inland at around 4:40pm on a Friday from the parking lot of P&S and she said she would wait for us. We got to her office just minutes before 5pm and she was the polar opposite of the man we had just sat down with an hour before. She is so sweet and personable and, above everything else, patient! I'm sure she has a family of her own to get home to but that didn't keep her from staying late to help us. She made everyone fresh coffee and brought us water and made sure we were all comfortable before we started. She explained everything in ways that anyone could understand, even if it were their first time in this situation. She didn't push unnecessary services or purchases but she suggested things that the family hadn't considered that they actually really wanted. When we left her office that evening we all had such a sense of relief knowing that everything was going to be ok. For me, in these situations, it's VERY hard to leave someone so close to me in the care of someone else but I knew Lisa would do everything the right way and make sure our loved one was taken care of just like he was her own family. I cannot tell you how many "thank you's" I received after the service from the family for helping them settle on Inland Memorial to take care of their husband/father/son/brother. Lisa went well out her way for us and we are all so thankful. read more

My Brother suddenly passed away at the end of August. In a frantic and shocked state my family and I looked for a mortuary to go pick up his body. I googled companies in this area and found the satellite location of Inland Mortuary here in town. I spoke to Casey who runs that office Monday morning then went down and met with her. The facility is clean and neat with a display of urns and coffins in the conference room. It's really really hard to go hire a funeral director when your in such a state of shock and sorrow but Casey made it a easy experience and was very loving, compassionate and easy to talk to. She answered my questions clearly and helped me make decisions. My mom is out of state so she quickly emailed back and forth with her to get the necessary forms completed. Along the way there were some bumps in the road none from them all on the state side but Casey was very helpful and sweet. It's obvious she likes what she does and wants the best for those families she's helping. I would say she is definitely a asset to the company and a top notch funeral director:-) read more

I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll keep it simple and just say that my grandmother's death was made especially traumatizing by the inadequate healthcare system, and then also by the legal system (I know that's vague, but it's a very long story). I am so incredibly grateful that we had Inland Memorial to help us through the experience. They went out of their way to do absolutely everything they could to make a very difficult time easier for us. They were compassionate, patient and understanding. They even made us laugh, which we really needed at the time. I will never forget their kindness.
