Process for services arrangements went good, the communication between Arlington Cremation employees and us as their customers can be improved, as far as keeping promises of call back with updates. The cremation facilities they are using in San Bernardino County is offensive to anyone who have respect for human life, even more to the family of the decease. In May I called around and found this establishment. I was looking to make pre burial arrangements for my father who was going into hospice. The initial call was great and they sent me paperwork. In the paperwork I recd I had questions after reviewing, I emailed back the same day and also left a message that same day. Crickets no responses. Waited 4 days and left another message and sent a 2nd request email. Zip nada. Left a few more voicemails and nothing. This went on from May 5th through May 13th. On May 13th we decided to go in person to the office. Well they don't treat you any better in person. I went there with the paperwork and email copies stating I needed to speak to someone because I wasn't getting any responses to voicemail messages left or emails sent. The person looked at the email paperwork with this look on her face like I was imposing and stated well that email is the info email. In my mind I was look that's the email you sent me and the only one I had - so why would I not reply to that email? Regardless I was told I had to see another person, was handed a pc of paper with a number on it and told to call to make an appt. No apologies no trying to find out how to help... just a look of don't bother me. So I guess being a glutton for punishment I called the number on the pc of paper and I text the number and still zip. Then after that we decided to called another place - left a message and the new place called back right away. The evening before Mother's Day... yes they called on a holiday where usually most wouldn't answer - so we went with them. I eventually got a text from this place and text them that we went elsewhere. Not even an interest to ask why. For those of you who are maybe asking why keep calling and trying to work with these people... well I always try and give the benefit of the doubt and being also in the people service business and understanding that many businesses may be short staffed especially after the whole Covid lockdowns etc. I understand being busy or maybe even forgetting to do something because things happen. But what I don't excuse is attitude and bad attitude at that. So you lost the business to another company who knows how to handle the process of making arrangements for a parent who is dying. That stress alone is enough to hardly bare but to throw unsympathetic attitude is no way to run a business that deals with people's emotions when trying to arrange the services of a dying love one. This review is not meant in malice as I don't relish making a bad review ... it is simply what happened and hopefully reflection can take place to work on your people skills and be more attentive to when someone is trying to get hold of you... to give "you" business. read more

This is the last review I ever wanted to write. My mother passed away on April 29 after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Even still, her death was sudden and caused by a new condition, so we were completely unprepared. While they were seeing if they could do anything to save her in the hospital, I first tried another place operating out of LA that wanted to charge an extra $200 to deliver my mom's remains, but then because of COVID they were only shipping remains through the USPS. Well, that wasn't acceptable to me, so I found Arlington. My main contact was Emily, who kept me updated throughout the entire process. I made arrangements and there was no attempt to up sell or add any extras. They picked my mom up from the hospital and took care of everything. We had all discussed what we wanted when we die and we agreed that a simple cremation was all we wanted. The entire cost was under $800 including 3 death certificates. Emily contacted us when my mom's remains were ready to pick up and met us in the parking lot to pick them up. She even helped get COVID removed as a cause of death that the hospital tried to falsely put on her death certificate and we picked them up this week. Obviously this is never something anyone wants to go through but Arlington made it as painless an experience as possible and I highly recommend them. Thanks for all your help. My dad passed away back in October and he had made previous arrangements with Arlington Cremation Services which my sister and I were thankful for. I couldn't imagine having to deal with the death of my dad and finding a place to take care of cremation. Anyways, once they picked my dad up from the morgue and brought him to the crematory my sister had called Arlington to see what the next steps were and how long it would be before we could pick his remains up. Whoever they had working there was so unhelpful and wouldn't return her calls. Finally I had enough and I called ready to say what was on my mind (which wasn't going to be nice) when Amy came on the phone. She was so kind and so apologetic. I could hear it in voice she had probably had a few families not so happy with the previous employee and most likely took it out on her. I instantly changed my attitude and sympathized with what she had to deal with while cleaning up somebody else's mistakes. Long story short, Amy was amazing. These guys were great during a difficult time. Our father had passed away at home and they made this portion of the process as painless as possible. The guys who came out were on time, which mattered a lot for reasons I'll leave out, and they were respectful and courteous the whole time they were here at the house. We turned to Arlington Cremation Services upon the death of our son. I was initially happy with the arrangements and felt the salesperson gave me detailed information about what I could expect. What angered and surprised my wife and I was that when the representatives from Arlington arrived at our home to take my son they both showed little if any compassion toward my wife and me, in fact, I would say that they were cold to the point of rudeness during the entire process of collecting our son's body. We reached out to Arlington to complain about our experience and over a year later after already collecting our son's ashes have yet to receive an acknowledgment of our complaint. The people that came to the hospital were rude and altogether horrible people even arguing with the nurse. I found the overall service to be more than acceptable, the woman that I dealt with over the phone displayed compassion and patience at a difficult time and kept us apprised of each step leading up to the cremation and retrieval of ashes. Make sure you go over your contract carefully, mistakes in the amount charged are easy to miss. The one negative aspect of my experience with this company was in my interaction or lack thereof with one of the two representatives that arrived at our residence to collect my mother's remains. She took care of EVERYTHING for us from start to finish and would check on us periodically to make sure we were ok and if we had any questions. It's been 2 months since the loss of our loved one. It was a very difficult and confusing time for us all. Arlington Cremation gave us the time we needed to decide what we are going to do and the choices were provided by them. The support of their team made a daunting task seem manageable.
