Undestandably it is the end of the growing season, and the holiday season preparations are just beginning, but Bachman's bare shelves set an impression of a crumbling enterprise. Huge distances between displays, echoing footsteps, encourage one to find living people for assistance and conversation. As usual, the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The items for sale in the store are unique. I have always been able to find a perfect gardener's gift when shopping at Bachmans. The plants are healthy and thriving.
