The top of the desk was used; the base was new. I asked the salesperson if she could do better on the price. She said no. I told her I'd take the floor model. Could she do any better? No. I really needed the desk because my arm and shoulder were killing me, so I said I'd buy it. Then we got to "delivery." They were gonna charge me something ridiculous to bring it to my home, five miles away. I mean, like $150. The desk was $279. So the salesperson asked me what kind of vehicle I had. I have a small car, but the cargo area is large, so it actually fit! Then I was told there was a $41 charge for "assembly." I was buying the floor model that was already put together, so... ??? HUH??? Salesperson wouldn't take the charge off. Against my better judgment, I still bought the desk. I guess the pain won out; I needed this thing ASAP! At the end of the transaction, after I had paid and had the desk loaded into my car, I was under the impression that the guys from the store would come to my house and bring the desk inside. I had chatted with the salesperson a bit more, and my understanding was that the $41 assembly charge would be offset by them helping me bring the desk in. Nope. I had misunderstood. The charge was sticking and they were not doing ANYTHING as far as delivery or set-up. Putting the thing into my car was the end of the transaction. I was left standing there with a heavy desk in my car and no way to unload it when I got home. I truly don't know what came over me when I accepted these ridiculous charges. A half-used desk, floor model, no delivery or set-up... I had to wait for a handyman I hired to come by in order to get the desk into my house. I helped him bring it in and ended up banging up some woodwork in the house that now has to be repaired. I just wasn't strong enough to do heavy lifting. Hopefully my physical ailments will improve from using the desk. I expect to have a least a bit of positivity from this experience! I would not recommend this store. (On top of all of this, they don't stock many of the items featured on their website, nor do they have free delivery as indicated on the site.)

When I tried to get my refund, the store claimed that because I paid with Apple Pay, they would only give me store credit on a gift card. This is not what I wanted, nor what their advertised return policy was, but didn't want to make it a thing. I accepted the gift card supposedly containing my full refund. I moved since then, so I went to this Office Depot location on Arapahoe, as it is now closer to me. I tried to use the gift card only to find more than half of the value that was supposed to be on it was inexplicably missing. I'm the only person who had access to the card and don't recall spending it or even going to an Office Depot location or website since receiving the gift card. This location claimed they were unable to tell me what the missing balance was spent on or even when it was spent because I didn't go through their rewards program. Annoying and again, not what I expected as a customer but there wasn't anything I could do about it, so I just tried to check out with my items using the remaining balance. The cashier asked if I wanted to sign up for their rewards program. I agreed, wanting to be able to address any potential future issues with my purchase. When the cashier asked me my name for the account, I told her and spelled it out for her as there are a few ways the name is commonly spelled. She curtly responded, "I know how to spell!" Naturally, she proceeded to misspell my name anyway by leaving three letters out. I'm sure her typing someone else's name instead of mine for the rewards program would not have any impact on my future shopping experience. There is absolutely no reason to go through the impossible return process filled with hidden red tape, missing gift card balance, and rude and incapable cashiers. I will not be shopping at any Office Depot or its affiliates in the future and advise you to do the same.

It's a bad investment, they're not flexible like other companies if something happens and you need to return the furniture, and you risk thousands of dollars and your credit in dealing with them. I rented from them signing a contract for 6 months for the furniture. Most of it fell apart or broke by the time the 6 months was up, and yet they charged me huge fees on top of all the thousands I had already paid. I think this is a big part of how they make money. My chairs, kitchen table, nightstands, etc were barely used.

I went with Cort furniture because of its ties to Warren Buffet and its general reputation for being reputable company. Overall, the furniture renting experience and delivery went swimmingly. My only real complaint was that the furniture showroom was a little sketchy, which was mildly offputting, but not a huge deal. The delivery folk and the salesman were extremely professional and the product for the most part was quite good. Was it worth the money? No, but I wasnt paying for it so I didnt care. My only complaint would have been the sheet rental. Ya, I know... Im dumb. Given that they are setup for corp rentals with kitchen setups, bathroom setups, and linens - I would have assumed the stuff would be nice. To be honest with you, when I arrived to my condo and took a gander at the quilt, sheet and blanket they put on the bed - I promptly slept on the couch. Upon inspection, there were quite a number of pubic hairs in the blanket - which was gross. The quilt looked like something even a motel 6 or redroof in would turn their nose up at. Given the total cost for a year of renting that stuff was going to be like 500 bucks, I asked them to take it all back and I brought new. I did make it pretty clear that the linens were entirely unacceptable. Upon pickup, I had no issues with my deposit being refunded. The furniture lasted pretty damn well for the year I owned it. I can honestly say - it was a good experience - suspect linens and all. My opinion: Good company. Would rent from again. Avoid the linens.
