I've had my computer's and laptops serviced multiple times by their lead tech and have also received great tech support and advice any time I've had computer issues that I've brought here. They're diagnostic skills are great! Their techs really know their stuff and it's apparent they do their research and continue to learn so they're constantly on top of the ever changing tech scene. CompuMedic is just that and more. They did amazing forensics on my computer. My scary situation was that the computer would not power on. I tried to restore the power on my own, with no luck. My Dad took the computer (7 year-old laptop that still serves my needs) to CompuMedic even though I was pretty much resigned to the likelihood that it was a goner. And, Voilá - CompuMedic staff did the impossible - they worked away until the problem was found and fixed. It was a tiny internal connection that needed fixed. I took my laptop into the store with an understanding that the OS would not update and the registry was likely the issue. My Lenovo did not come with the OS install disks which are required for reinstalling the OS (MS Winndows 7),. I was charged $79 plus tax for a "scan" when they took my computer. That should have been the clue that they were not legit. Three days later, I got a call that the registry was corrupt and they wanted $90 to fix it. There was no documentation that there was a scan of any type. The " tech" came out to tell me that the scan found nothing and that it usually found something. I do a good job of keeping my system clean.. That was NOT the issue. Bottom line: I paid $79 plus tax to be told the same thing that I told them when I took the system in... TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! There is a big gap between the folks that take the computer (non technical) and the folks that work on the system. Very big lack of communication... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. read more

I needed the fan replaced on my laptop. I called and got an estimate for parts and labor at $130. When I arrived I was told they must do a $90 scan to be sure to get the right fan. I left and went to another computer repair in the neighborhood. He found the part on line in 5 minutes. A week later I picked up my repaired laptop for a total bill of $115. read more

Brought my laptop in for a diagnostics. After 10 days (was told I would receive a call the next business day) I went to pick up because their diagnostics was it could be one of 3 things (which I already knew). I was asked to come back in a half hour so they could put it together. At that time their "diagnostic" was that the mother board was probably going bad.
