Had our HP printer cartridges refilled for less than half the cost of new ones, and they are guaranteed to work. We'll be returning the next time we need refills, no sense paying more than you have to for ink. The gentleman/owner that waited on us was very knowledgeable and even recommended A brothers brand printer because he says the ink cartridges are larger and cheaper....I will look into that...we all know they make their money on the ink, i'm surprised most manufacturers don't just give you the printer so they'll have you hooked. read more

I feel like an idiot but I sure am happy to find this place. I brought my printer and thinking it was broken after calling and asking if they could help me. Come to find out I just had a paper jam. However they helped me fix it for free and were so kind and helpful. I'm pretty sure I go there and talk to them for about 45 minutes. Roberto is one of the most considerate and caring professionals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He has provided toner to our non-profit on a reliable basis now for half a year, including same-day delivery, free printer cleaning and advice on how to prevent costly repairs. I'm writing this in gratitude to give you a snapshot of how this man operates at the highest level of customer service. Early this month our non-profit held our annual gala event, the biggest fundraiser of the year. Because so many people depend on the money raised for this event, it also becomes the most stressful detail-oriented part of our fundraising work. You can imagine our panic when our printer AND our backup printer both decided to have nervous breakdowns in the midst of printing the event program, with a queue of other important documents stacked up behind it and precious little time for turnaround. Well, not only did Roberto come to our rescue, but he came to our rescue TWICE in the same day, after his shop's business hours were over, all during the middle of the biggest thunderstorm and flooding that Austin has seen in years. When he understood what was at stake for our non-profit, he decided helping us was worth it. It's hard to express the kind of relief we felt when he came through for us. Before we heard about Ink & Toner Station, we tried going through small suppliers on Amazon for replacement toners, many of which failed us right out of the box. They may look tantalizingly cheap, but you end up spending a lot more because so many of the cartridges come through with bad chips or depleted toner reserves--and you're stuck with no recourse for returns or customer support. We've also tried finding the resources in our budget to afford the pricey brand name toners, and frankly it's just a criminal waste of valuable funds that could be going to our programs and people in need. I have been looking for over 2 years for an alternative to expensive OEM toner for my OKI Data printer (which no one else uses!) I read all the reviews here on yelp and decided to try. I am not one to overstate in these reviews. My experience was absolutely consistent with the other reviews I have read here. I needed some relatively expensive color laser cartridges and Roberto explained that it may be that only one or two need to be replaced instead of the entire set. He tested them and turned out that I only needed one. Well, I bought a full set anyway and have the ones I brought in as backups. What honesty! Not to mention awesome expertise. Saw this place while riding down Lamar. This is a family owned local business and the owner is extremely pleasant and patient. I bought a full set of ink cartridges for my printer at a fraction of the price it would be at Best Buy or another big chain. These are recycled cartridges and they will accept your used cartridges for proper recycling. Ink cartridges are very toxic and unfortunately most end up in land fills where they could seep into ground water. The first cartridges I purchased did not work because my printer had a newer firmware that rejected the old cartridges. I brought in my old empty cartridges and the owner was happy to accept the returns (these cartridges had been opened and probably will need to be sent back to be refurbished) as well as refill the original empty cartridges that my printer uses for free. Actually I was given a small refund as the black cartridge I had purchased was an XL and the original which he refilled was a regular size. The store officially closes at 5, but the owner was willing to stay late to complete the job. I'm going to be a regular. read more

I asked myself if I should 5 star this business and I think -- yes. The prices are very discounted. The owner knows his stuff -- printers. He knows the value of even out-dated printers and which ones are worth buying. He knows ink cartridges. Yes it is true -- he also delivers directly to you within a certain radius of his shop. Sometimes his kids are in the shop playing so he cannot always leave the shop right away, but he will go to deliver products. So far, all his cartridges work. He refills the cartridges but also can sell the name brand versions. I print a lot of workbooks in color and use a HP8600 all in one inkjet printer which has one of the best print values on the market. I also have an older laser HP 1018 that is a workhorse. The cartridges for both were costly but now I can print again for a low cost. Helpful pointers: I suggest that you call before you go because he may be on a delivery or taking care of the kids. That's the kind of business that I want to do business with and hope you do too. If you are going to this location on North Lamar, the business is on the West side of the road. The traffic moves really fast and there is no left turn lane that you can quickly get into. You may need to actually pass the business then turn around to get onto the left side of the road. Again, call before you go to be sure the owner is not out on deliveries. What's the negative? You need to call before you go to be sure he is there but the owner also delivers the product to you which balances out in the end. When I order ink online from other companies I don't get the ink for a few days so this company has much faster turnaround time. I only put this note so that people know to call first. We called last minute to get a replacement black toner cartridge for a Brother laser printer. Not only did they have the replacement cartridge, they came out to deliver and install free of charge. We had a previous toner issue and Roberto took time to see what he could do. He said if we wanted our printer check out further we could stop by the store with the printer and he would clean it up, free of charge. Overall: Great service. Speedy service. I recently became a graduate student, which basically means that I need to find any way possible to save money. I tried out Ink and Toner station hoping that I could save money with refilling my printer cartridges. Previous reviews had mentioned the kindness of the shop owner but I also quickly felt a very genuine and goodhearted energy. The kind of energy that makes you feel like this person wants to provide a solid service and treat people right in the process. I got my cartridges refilled in no time and went home to try them out. Unfortunately the cartridges were malfunctioning with my printer. I still truly don't know the reason why the cartridges were not working with my printer. It continuously printed either nothing or in a faint blue color. When I went back to the store, the same store owner quickly helped me resolve the problem with the same patient and kind attitude. You can pay extra money to go to Office Depot and get new cartridges. But at Ink and Toner, you not only pay less but you're also reminded that some people do business to do business and treat people as consumers. Great products that work as good as OEM, no cheap junk, yet still inexpensive. We are Electrician Testing and we tutor and have seminars afor state licensing exams all over the state and sell multiple book products online and in our classes. furthermore we print all of our textbooks in class material ourselves as well as all of our book products Honestly, at first, compared to Amazon and eBay, I thought I was overpaying for his substitute ink products. But after dealing with him for a few months I realized he saves me a ton of money with little things such as delivery and keeping up with the supply of parts that I need. Not to mention the fact that he's a professional at what he does and trust me you wouldn't think professionalism in the evening with eight cartridges the necessary, but it really is. The bottom line is I would not hesitate and in fact always do recommend this shop and further suggest that anywhere else will cost you more money. Customer service was amazing from the initial call to purchase. I literally called almost knowing that they would not have black ink for my Dell color laser printer. Generally speaking when you order Dell, you have to order their ink through them. The guy at Inksell took my ph# to ensure that he actually found it, due to my skepticism that he had it. Not only...did he call back with the Black ink, he took it upon himself to find the other colors and offer them to me. He heard me when I said that I should have ordered an extra set of cartridges at purchase but failed to do so. I was able to drive over, pick up my extra ink as well, which meant no call to a 1-800# or online ordering website. I was so ecstatic that I misplaced my receipt, and forgot the purchase date...Skeptical again about what this ordeal was going to morph into...I called Because I needed it for an expense report. I'm so glad I found this place. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The first time I brought in my ink cartridges to be refilled, which he did in less than 10 minutes on the spot for a very fair price. Recently my printer started printing with uneven lines so I brought the cartridges back to be refilled again. He plugged in my printer and immediately told me that the cartridges were actually just clogged, took them into the back to clean them, and then sent me on my way, with a working printer, for free!
