The order did not ship within one day and arrived a week later, well after the event. The shoes looked different from the website photos and did not fit. I tried them on once indoors, then immediately returned them to the box and requested a return. This business does not answer their customer service email/returns email whatsoever. I had to call to arrange the return. After I shipped the shoes back, I received a call claiming the shoes had "dirt and grass" on them and that they would not process my return. This is inaccurate as the shoes were only tried on inside once and placed directly back in the box. I spoke with a representative named Megan, who said she would escalate the issue and call me back. She never did. Over the past two months I have called numerous times. Each time I am told Megan is unavailable and will call back, but I have never received a follow-up. I have never in my many years of online shopping have experienced such horrible customer service.

My husband and I were looking for a place to get fitted for running shoes for the first time. We've…read moredone research and Milestone Running continued to pop up with great reviews compared to other stores like Road Runner. We walked in on a Saturday morning and while there were a couple of parties ahead of us, we were still seen in a timely manner without having an appointment. While we waited for our turn, we browsed around the store with its decent collection of clothes, gear, and some nutrition. They also had some shoes on sale displayed outside. Michelle helped both of us and we had a fantastic experience with her. She truly took the time to help us out and she really seemed knowledgeable given her experience at the store and with all things running. I appreciated how she reiterated not to compare others' reviews because it's different for each person. She first evaluated what type of other exercises we do and our "level" of running and we went from there. Overall, we tried about 4-5 different pairs, each time giving us an opportunity to run on the side walk to assess the feel. I even went back out multiple times trying out a different shoe in each foot. I was between 2 pairs of shoes and Michelle advised me to think it over and to not rush the decision which I truly appreciated! My husband found the one that he liked and upon a quick price check online, it seemed Milestone had comparable prices so he bought his that day. I highly recommend Milestone Running!

I used to be a marathoner, but now I'm just happy to walk my dog all over San Diego wherever he feels like sniffing. They have everything you need and it feels so much better to support local instead of just supporting J Bezos

This place is amazing. I can't say enough good things. Let me start off by saying that the staff…read moreare so knowledgeable and friendly, and I went in a few times not being sure I wanted to spend that much money on shoes, and I never felt pressured. Next, I went a couple years ago and they did a little running test with me to see which way my ankles lean when I run, and that was so helpful because they picked out the right shoe for me. Then fast forward to today, it's about two or three years later, I still have these shoes I bought back then, and I can tell that I will need to start transitioning into some other shoes soon, and I only want to go back to this store. I don't think that they mark up their shoes too much and truly I'm glad I bought these for the price they were, and I know that I'm just going to get friendly service with them with zero pressure. These shoes have lasted years and aren't done yet, so about $150 upfront cost, but will save me so much in the future of buying shoes that hurt, breakdown and need replacing often. I will absolutely be coming back in the next couple weeks because I appreciate them so much. Here is a picture of the shoes I got a few years ago, and even though they've seen some wear (and by that I mean many many many miles in not only running, but mostly walking)they've held up so well and shown me that investing in great sneakers helps my whole body feel great. This place is wonderful. I was about 27 then, active through work but not a runner. I'm 31 now, I lift weights and run a mile or two once a week and I use these for everything from cardio, to weights, to volleyball(not meant for it but they work) to walking on concrete all day for work. Amazing. Just go in and think about it!

The prices are not particularly attractive. Their strength lies on the lower shelves, behind the counter; the stuff you miss when casting a cursory glance into the store while walking by. The stuff hardly anybody looks for or knows about. The connaisseur items. If you are running out of your beloved discontinued perfume or if reformulations have turned it into fruity water, this is the place to go. They have vintage classics, oldies and rarities that have become impossible to find new-in-box, even on Ebay. The stuff you have to waste twenty week-ends in estate sales to find - used. Of course price is proportional to rarity, so I would not go there seeking miraculous deals, but if you must have it, try your luck there. Examples at random: Habanita, Coriandre, Monsieur de Givenchy, Dupont pour femme, Lancôme Ô oui, Climat and Magie noire (not Trophée, alas !), Carven Ma griffe, Lanvin Arpège (both), several Léonard, Houbigant, Dior, Rochas, Laroche, Grès, Hermès, Cacharel, Caron...
