This place is amazing. I can't say enough good things. Let me start off by saying that the staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, and I went in a few times not being sure I wanted to spend that much money on shoes, and I never felt pressured. Next, I went a couple years ago and they did a little running test with me to see which way my ankles lean when I run, and that was so helpful because they picked out the right shoe for me. Then fast forward to today, it's about two or three years later, I still have these shoes I bought back then, and I can tell that I will need to start transitioning into some other shoes soon, and I only want to go back to this store. I don't think that they mark up their shoes too much and truly I'm glad I bought these for the price they were, and I know that I'm just going to get friendly service with them with zero pressure. These shoes have lasted years and aren't done yet, so about $150 upfront cost, but will save me so much in the future of buying shoes that hurt, breakdown and need replacing often. I will absolutely be coming back in the next couple weeks because I appreciate them so much. Here is a picture of the shoes I got a few years ago, and even though they've seen some wear (and by that I mean many many many miles in not only running, but mostly walking)they've held up so well and shown me that investing in great sneakers helps my whole body feel great. This place is wonderful. I was about 27 then, active through work but not a runner. I'm 31 now, I lift weights and run a mile or two once a week and I use these for everything from cardio, to weights, to volleyball(not meant for it but they work) to walking on concrete all day for work. Amazing. Just go in and think about it! read more

Milestone Running - Pacific Beach - Brooks 20 running shoes - Sports Wear Near Me - San Diego, California

High quality running clothes with some bargain prices. Impressed. Now if I could just get yelp to post as I meet their 85 chatacters!

The service here was very good. My husband needed new athletic shoes. Greg asked many questions and then took measurements to insure the correct size. He brought out several pairs until we found the correct one. It was a good experience for my husband. read more

The best place to get fitted for shoes, hands down! It's a cozy store but with ample parking(such a win in PB) and personalized attention. They have excellent brands and they are not trying to simply sell. They want you to have a great experience. Dylon was extremely helpful educating me about my shoe pick and some other famous brands. The store asst were excellent too, who helped me figure out which shoe worked best with my orthotics. I went from a 6W to a 6.5 in the same brand, Brooks Ghost. They also placed a straight to home order for a cute color online! They have a really amazing run club which makes you feel very inclusive even if you want to walk! We used to partake in North Park and hope to restart in PB soon. :) read more

Big thank you / shout out to employee SHELBY - for helping me (an ER NURSE AT SCRIPPS HILLCREST MERCY) find a shoe for someone with plantar fasciitis and also works 13 hour days. I arrived with a coupon for Altra shoes (unfortunately I didn't like the brand shoes I had a coupon for) but Shelby helped me find a better shoe style and wider toe box and gave me a healthcare worker discount. This business shows qualities of a neighborhood and community, they want locals to come back time and time again I will 100% come back again based on my experience with Shelby - and how this company supports their local community (as an ER nurse I felt really appreciated! ) read more

Shelby and Dylan are awesome, got me set up with some great shoes for my races coming up! So friendly and are very knowledgeable about all your foot/shoe needs. So genuine about finding a shoe that's right for you; not just trying to make a sale which I appreciate so much. Would 100% recommend coming to milestone PB, these guys are in your best interest! read more

Friendly staff, eager to help. Great knowledge and tips. Have a nice selection of apparel and shoes. Felt very taken care of!

My husband was looking for the perfect running shoe and Lexi was super helpful and knowledgeable about finding him some good ones. She even had him try on some and see him run to make sure he has the right shoes for how he runs. His new shoes are perfect! read more

Had an awesome experience getting a pair of running shoes and socks. Past this store many times but first time going in. The shoes I've bought in the past at big 5 or footlocker were not it because of the people working at those stores. Milestone running has a motivated and EXTREMELY knowledgeable group of staff who care about what they do. Lexi helped me out by asking shoes that I'd liked wearing in the past and found me a good shoe that fit the profile. Where treatment became very five star is when she asked me to take a lap around the parking lot to watch my run form. She then brought me two other pairs of shoes that might be good for me based on my run form. I was already in love with the first pair I tried on but they really want you to get a good match. Also they have a running club Mondays and Wednesdays starting at their store that I was invited to. Discovered a cornerstone gem of the PB community just going to buy a pair of shoes. read more

The young lady and gentleman who helped me had lots of knowledge of their products and were very helpful. They also shared their insights of their experience using some of the products I inquired about. They didn't have much of a selection for hydration vests but, had a variety of socks and shoes (trail to daily road running shoes). read more

26 years ago I was setting out to run the first RnR marathon. Of course I'm in shoe panic mode, so I hit up a large running store up off convoy, but I won't mention the name. I just needed to talk someone that ran some decent mileage per week. The person helping me was not a runner, and there wasn't an employee in the store that ran. Needless to say, left and never returned. That's when I found movin shoes which turned into milestone. Been buying my shoes there ever since. Well my 26th RnR marathon is in one month and I needed new shoes. I hadn't changed shoes since I had a toe amputated two months before last years marathon. Went in and Greg spent so much time asking questions, watching me run and trying on multiple shoes. I've been running for a while, and I truly believe he found the best shoe for me and my funky feet. These are the best running shoes I've ever had, he Nailed It! Saucony Endorphin are my new soulmates! I've been searching for these ever since Brooks stopped making the Radius. Thanks for taking time with me, I truly appreciate you Milestone Rules read more

I've shopped here twice and both times had amazing customer service. The first time the sales associate stayed open late so I could run home and get my custom insoles. The second time one of the owners help me navigate finding the best shoes for a group fitness class. The prices are awesome and the customer service is outstanding. I would highly recommend this store instead of a larger chain because here you got one on one attention and service and you support local small business. read more

MIlestone took over the space for the old Movin Shoes location and has hit the ground running (pun intended). Got great shoes that fit my 'minimalist' tendencies, and for the trail! I had been scouring the internet for a specific color of Hokas that kept selling out online, and I ended up finding them in this running store less than 2 miles from my house. Their space is clean, organized, and festively decorated with San Diego-themed murals painted throughout. In non-COVID times, they hold community events like the monthly Mt. Soledad 10k. Not to be that person, but there's just a positive energy that radiates from this store. My mom came with me because she was running errands nearby and wanted to check it out. She ended up finding the perfect pair of shoes! We were helped out by Mike, who is not only patient and knowledgeable, but just an overall cool dude to talk to. She told him she was a size 6.5, but he took one look at her feet and brought out some 7.5s to try instead -- and they fit perfectly. Mike was able to quickly suggest shoes that met her comfort (needs cushioning) and activity (walking/easy hiking) needs. They even came in a color she loves! It's clear that he has more in-depth product knowledge and experience than employees at most big box running stores. Will definitely be coming to Milestone for all my running shoe needs in the future. We were both so pleased with our shopping experience, and happy to have discovered a deserving local business to support. read more

The best customer service you'll get at any running store. They've also got a good selection of clothing and small but decent sale rack. Couldn't recommend enough. read more

I had such a great experience here :) The reason my experience was so great was thanks to Dylan, they didn't have what I came in wanting (so we placed a special order) I was interested but completely hesitant to buy another pair of shoes and long story short I ended up in the most comfortable and amazing shoes! I'm beyond happy can't imagine life without my new shoes. I have high standards for sales persons and he was the perfect sales person. I didn't feel pressured, I felt comfortable, and Dylan had a nice presence, and when assisting other customers continued to stay involved with me. I wouldn't have purchased something if it wasn't for how everything in the store felt as I don't spend money easily. I've been in my new shoes everyday since I got them! Thank you Dylan! This a wonderful small business with a couple locations. my new go to spot for athletic shoes and gear. Need a new shoes that were better for walking so found this place on yelp. Walked in to find super easy going knowledgeable staff member. She greeted me warmly and I told her my dilemma, I have an issue with my ankle.
