Customer satisfaction is not a priority…read more Our sales rep "missed" our multiple comments to NOT install splash guards on our bathroom vanities (I've never found them aesthetically pleasing). Installation day came, and they installed splash guards. We cannot remove them even if you wanted to, because the tops are "cut shorter to make for easier install". So if removed ourselves, there's about a 1/2 inch gap on each side that caulk cannot cover. When I called our sales rep, her only solution was to tell us they could provide a quote to have them replaced. There was no ownership in the fact that they made a mistake, let alone try to correct it. This is a very reasonable complaint in my opinion, as I'm typically very passive with issues I feel are minor. I've worked with other local companies in my area that will immediately remedy a problem for a customer. Not this company. I'd suggest purchasing from one of the many other local granite companies that has more regard for customer satisfaction.

Prior to today, I was satisfied with their service although I will note that their fees are expensive. Approximately one week ago, I booked an afternoon preventive maintenance appointment for today. JD Power Systems operates under the typical, but not particularly customer friendly, four-hour window system where the technician calls you when he/she is on his/her way to your house. I chose to take the afternoon off from work so that I would definitely be able to be present when the technician arrived. Around 4:00pm, I received a call from an office employee stating that the technician scheduled to service my generator had instead been dispatched to a priority commercial customer and, furthermore, due to traffic and rainfall (!), would not be coming to my home. I was offered an appointment on another day; I declined. While I can appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can arise, my expectation for good customer service does not entail scheduling another appointment and taking more time off from work without some kind of accommodation from the company that chose to de-prioritize me in the first place. This review would not have been written and I would be not be engaging a competing firm if the office employee had instead explained the circumstances and said, in so many words, how can we be fair to you? I would have happily forgiven JD Power Systems if something as simple as $50.00 - $100.00 would have been knocked off the usual $500.00 preventive maintenance charge, but alas, customer service standards at this firm are lacking so I leave this review to let potential customers be aware of what may happen to them. I am constantly amazed that some firms do so little to retain existing customers while spending lots of money on trying to acquire new customers. In my opinion, JD Power Systems epitomizes this backwards approach to business.

Price was fabulous for the cabinets and they are really good quality cabinets. To this day, 10 years later they still wow people! They built the cabinets and I installed them to save money. They installed the granite, sink, faucet and backsplash. I was absolutely impressed with the quality and workmanship, I have a window trim flute style with square blocks that I was nervous about the backsplash being cut around it correctly. Well, Fit like a glove! Really impressed with the details. What brings me to write this review 10 years later is my brother is about to do his kitchen and ask me where I got my cabinets and granite. Over the last 10 years I've redone my bathrooms and got granite countertops and sinks from L and E also. The only complaint I have the hinges on the cabinets are forever breaking. Self close ones are just terrible quality, I've been in a couple, three times to get replacements, but other than a bath the cabinets look the same as they did when I installed them. No fading, scratching, cracking whatsoever, still beautiful to look at. I do need to get my granite cleaned and polished back up.

Between lost time and urgency, I needed to phone a professional. Drainmaster's reviews and location convinced me they were the best for this job. Additionally, 'drain' is in their name. I couldn't go wrong. Calling them around 2 pm, I fully expected them to come the next day or even two days out, preparing to spend fully $$$ on rental, cleaning, and fast food for the family. To my surprise, the scheduler was very kind and personable. She mentioned they were full for that day, but due to my near-shop location, they may be able to work me in. Sure enough, I received a call around 1600 with the drain professional (female!) about 19 minutes out. She arrived with her assistant (strong lad), and they began the work. I offered them shoe covers, but they had their own (I would have preferred they use my clean covers). After snaking for about half an hour, checking the drain length to the main stack, and confirming the flow with a leak test, they pronounced it clean, with a friendly smile. It was also good to see the workers getting along and working efficiently. It's not always the case with coworkers. I tested it myself once they left. Sure enough, it's clean! Final cost $280. Satisfied and happy customer here. If I have another issue like this, I will be sure to call.

The room looks so bright and clean now, the new fixtures work beautifully, and cleaning takes almost no time at all. Plus, we now have stylish grab bars, a non-slip shower pan, and a larger drain that won't get clogged with hair. Michelle suggested removing some wall tile to extend the new Onyx wall slabs in the shower enclosure to the door molding, and we are really pleased with the result. The 3-person installation crew, led by Kevin, got the whole job -- including replacing two toilets -- done in 8 hours. These guys were on time, worked diligently, contained demo dust and debris very well and took a lot of pride in how they installed the new product. That last part was very important to me. Not one of them treated the remodel like it was mine....It was more like they were doing the work in their own homes. It was flawless. During the project, they asked me my preference as to locations of towel and TP bars and soap caddies in the shower and bath and the direction of the floor being laid. How are you supposed to choose an countertop from a 1x1 foot sample when each slab can be 100% different?. My advice is spend a little more and get a better experience. The two 5 star reviews are from people that work there lol and one is the owner. Major pass.
