Their Facebook was promoting a ''meet the kitties" event on a Saturday, and we booked tickets easily using their website. During our visit, Jessica introduced us to the process and the kitties. The cat room is intimate but spacious enough for a few different groups. They have tons of toys, enrichment items, even a kitty tv. We ordered coffee which she delivered right to us. They have lots of flavor options. I got a white mocha, yum! We ended up putting in an adoption application for a kitten, and got the call within a week that he was ready to bring home! Leslie, the owner, was wonderful to work with. He's an absolute doll and we couldn't be happier! Definitely recommend this cafe for a fun weekend activity... though you may end up with a cat even after one visit!

I really wanted to enjoy my experience, but there is definitely room for improvement. The arroz cantonés is not something I'd recommend if you're familiar with authentic Costa Rican arroz cantonés it wasn't even close. The chifrijo was also disappointing and lacked flavor. On top of that, it had a very strong soapy taste that made it difficult to eat. The staff also wasn't very accommodating. We explained that we were dissatisfied with the arroz cantonés and had only taken a few bites before deciding not to eat it, hoping it could be removed from the bill. We were told that because we had "tried it," they couldn't take it back. At the same time, the staff said that once a dish leaves the kitchen, they can't do anything about it. That policy felt contradictory and isn't something I've typically experienced in the restaurant industry, especially when a customer

My mother was with us and she has been to Costa Rica, she said it felt just like a place you would eat at over there. They had a tv behind the bar with soccer on and the booths felt like they were from a diner from years past. As for ambiance it was lacking for sure. Our waitress was very nice and quick bringing out the food. The food was tasty but not every dish wowed us. I know many of the Yelpers loved this one but I'm just not a fan. I'd give it another shot if I'm in the area again but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Arcadia.
