Every team member, from Lindsay (who took my first call) to Collette (who talked to me about previsit meds) to the friendly team at the check out desk, has treated our family with warmth, respect, and care. And Dr. Crowe knocked our socks off. She transformed our highly anxious (even when medicated), stressed-out pup into her buddy. She engaged kindly with him, was not fearful, got down on his level, and genuinely seemed to like him. She distracted him with games and treats and snuggles and was able to administer three vaccinations easily. Dr. Crowe cared for us (the humans) too, as it has been stressful ensuring our dog receives the care he needs despite his anxiety. She reassured us and shared strategies for future visits. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Crowe for her patience and persistence.

My dog would probably agree with this 5 star rating, he LOVES going here (could be the treats) but he might possibly deduct a half star because he doesn't enjoy the thermometer up the butt but really, can you blame him? My husband had stopped in one day to get some pricing information for vaccines, exams and grooming. Ultimately, we chose to keep them at the low-cost animal clinic for their health needs, but really liked the pricing and offerings available in regards to grooming. My first impressions were that the facility is very neat and clean, and the staff was very personable and professional. We were greeted, and I could tell that they were expecting us. Laramie, the groomer, came out right away to discuss our wants/needs, any behavioral concerns, and the possibility of needing sedation. All of this information was previously discussed when I completed the online request for an appointment and again during the phone call to finalize the appointment. I appreciate their thoroughness. It made me feel good knowing that nothing was going to happen that we hadn't previously discussed without it being discussed once more for confirmation! I did receive a text a couple hours later, stating that because my babies had been a little scared, Laramie was taking her time and giving them breaks. She updated me on the expected pick-up time as well. In all, Cali and Oreo (my kitties) were in their care for 5 hours. All of our "pain points" were taken care of. They were bathed - shampooed and conditioned, their nails were trimmed, and they even received an all-over trim of their fur. The texture of their coats was noticeably different and they smelled amazing. I'm not sure if they enjoyed their spa day or not, but my husband and I were so happy to see them all trimmed and cleaned up. I had sent with each of the kitties their favorite catnip toys for comfort and Cali's was missing when we got home. I called the animal hospital right away and after a brief hold, I was told that they didn't see it. But since it wasn't in the carrier and they'd only been there, I knew that it would turn up. I texted the groomer, asking her to call me once it was found and we'd happily come collect it anytime. Shortly thereafter, I received a call that they'd found it. She was reunited with her pink champagne bottle spouting feathers the very next day! We will definitely book with them again. Our littlest kitty has never been professionally groomed, so she's next. The grooming prices are very reasonable, and while they could have insisted on sedation, earning them an additional $170, they did not. I saw one review claiming that they were "money hungry", and to be honest we expected a call about needing sedation for that very reason, but I really don't think that they are.

I have boarded with 6 other boarding facilities prior to Sue and have had issues with every other one. Sue is the first person to ever take care of my dog the way that I am comfortable with, and money was never even on my mind when looked for a place for her to stay. However, it is worth noting that Sue is surprisingly affordable so she really just wins all the way around! I felt like Sue really listened to me about concerns and nerves, and the best example of this is with Hazel's paws. I told her that she always ends up with cuts on her paws when boarding for some reason, and other places always miss it and one even told me with 100% confidence that she was in heat. My dog is spayed and was not in heat, she just had a cut paw. I didn't even ask her to do this, but Sue frequently checked Hazel's paws because of this concern! I had only mentioned it in case she found blood, but she decided to check throughout the week and Hazel never had any cuts! My dog cannot be with other dogs while I am away because one time at a different boarding place, she was being rude to another dog (trying to get him to play when he didn't want to), and that dog ended up biting her. Sue doesn't just throw dogs together and hope it works out, she spends time getting to know your dog and works with them as an individual. I liked this instead of the pack mentality that you find at a lot of other places. From what I understand, she would put your own dogs together though, so if you have more than one, they would be able to play. Another thing I really liked was that Hazel has trust issues when it comes to people taking her out to potty, so she always has accidents unless it is me, my fiancé, or my parents taking care of her. It took us a long time to get her fully potty trained with just us! Sue told me to just bring back the blanket next time and she's comfortable working with her trying to help her understand to go outside during boarding as well. Also, despite all of her accidents, she didn't come home crusted in urine. At some other facilities it has been so bad that we have to carry her in and bathe her immediately. Hazel at least wasn't sitting in her own pee for hours, and Sue washed the blanket every time she peed on it. Additionally, the communication with Sue was really good. She responded to texts on the same day, and was able to provide pictures and updates on Hazel whenever I requested it! If you talk to her on the phone or in person, you're going to pick up on the fact that she really is a dog person right away. My gut just told me "YES" when I talked to her for the first time. Then, when we came in, she was happy to show us where Hazel would be staying, even though they were right in the middle of a hectic cleaning! As for cleanliness, they clean every morning. Dogs are definitely housed there, but it doesn't smell like some other facilities where it reeks of urine and unwashed dog, so you can tell they take cleaning seriously! Lastly, something you wouldn't think I would have to mention but clearly do after my experiences at other places, Sue actually fed my dog! I always portion out Hazel's meals, and every time I picked her up from somewhere else, there were some that were not fed to her. Sue used all the baggies with food, so I'm glad my baby got to eat! Hazel only gets a blanket because she chews up her beds during boarding usually, but you're free to bring your own bedding here too! The floors are heated as well in the winter. Overall, I'm going to be coming back for sure! She's wonderful and cares for my dog! If you care about quantity of reviews, check out Google, there were more on there when I posted there too!
