But with their special care, she came home looking better than when we left. The staff is professional and attentive. We received a tour of where she would stay and we learned about daily outdoor exercise. They gave us a phone number to check on her. During our ten day trip, we did call to check on her and they called us twice. Their attention to detail is outstanding. Our little pup was treated to special time out with the staff which was comforting for her since she is blind. She also got a lot of fresh air when they took the dogs out to their dog park. The dog did tear a nail during her stay and they wrapped her injury and gave us a call right away. We paid extra for the special care but it was worth it. I highly recommend the kennel for your pampered pooches.

I left one day's food for each dog. It was returned to me at pick up. None of the dogs ate anywhere near an appropriate amount. Nothing was said about this. I weigh their food so I can tell to the ounce what they consumed. The medicine provided was gone so I will presume it was administered. Not eating much one day is not terrible but I should have been told. My low score is due to the billing pratices. I found three different brochures in their lobby. Only one brochure includes printed prices for services. It states $47.50 per night exactly the same wording as their website. I never asked about the cost when I booked the 3 runs, I needed the service and they have a very attractive facility. The charge at register was $120 more than I expected. The reason is they have an unposted policy of charging $40 per dog if you pickup after 12:30 pm. I had asked when I made the appointment when was drop off time and pick up time, I asked again the day before drop-off, and I called to clarify that they were well on Wed and stated I would be picking up around 2 pm Thurs. Never once in 3 person to person interactions, was I told of this extra fee only that they opened at 8 am, I could come any time before 5:30 pm and they needed to be picked up by 5:30 pm. Caleb (a manager?) told me it was a known policy but agreed to waive the fee this time. He mentioned recent changes over the last few months, that they charge per day not per night, if I had them groomed there is no afternoon pickup charge, that it was a clearly stated pricing, but he had nothing anywhere in the lobby or at the checkout counter to show me that. When I returned home, I read the reviews here and other sites. Mentions of this unusual pricing policy goes back much further than a few months. I will say the care for my dogs seemed ok. If I must use them in the future, I will request a written estimate of all charges and potential penalties before my trip to avoid these surprises.

(Huge plus since when I've had to board at our "vet" facility there is no warm nice happy to have your dog vibe... and it's why I've looked elsewhere for boarding) Here is why I chose and will continue to board my 7 year old Anatolian and 7month old golden retriever at almost home. Their runs are indoor runs with a doggie door for optional indoor out door capabilities with the main kennel room being heated in the winter. The runs are a comfortable fit for even large dogs (I have 120 pounder) They let you bring dog bones or toys so long as your okay with them getting dirty if they drag them outside. This was helpful because we have a seven month old golden retriever, and I felt comfortable knowing that he has the option to chew on a bone if he got bored. They routinely check dogs in and out within the allotted time frame- which is actually kind of nice because then you know the dogs are getting downtime too without being disturbed midday. All and all I felt good about them and will chose them (over their vet) any day.

My fur babies get so excited to see everyone whenever I drop them off. Kim (owner) and Heidi (manager) are super helpful and responsive. They have different themed activities every week to keep the dogs entertained and stimulated. They post lots of videos on IG so you can see what the dogs are doing. My dogs come home tired, happy and a little stinky from playing all day with other dogs.

For his first trial visit (which was free) I dropped him off at 9am to a great staff member. She took his bag of food and treats from me and off he went to the back. I was probably (I Was) more sad than he was. But knew he was going to be in good hands. I picked him up around 5:30 an he was just a little ball of happiness. He got in the car and immediately started whining at the door...he had already missed the new friends he had made. They gave him a good report at the end too, which made me happy! As soon as we drove away however, he immediately fell asleep. And other than for eating dinner and taking a very potty breaks he was passed out for the rest of the night. He even went into his crate early in the morning the next day, a sign that he had the Wigglebutt hangover. Can't wait to bring him back more!
