Communication with folks at this store (and other Artee locations) started out fine, but they…read morebecame INCREDIBLY non-responsive as the project moved along and several problems arose. We submitted payment on 4/27/24 and were told that work on reupolestering our sofa would begin on 6/24, then 6/25, then 6/26, when work actually began. We were told the sofa would be finished and the drapes would be installed on 7/5, then 7/8, then 7/15 between 9-11am. No one called to inform us that the arrival would actually be 3pm that day, we had to track someone down for that information. During the install on July 16, we discovered that the bedroom drapes arrived without rings and were not given a new install date for those until we asked repeatedly. Additionally, I specifically requested no pleats in any of the custom curtains, yet the sets for two rooms were delivered with pleats. Since that delivery in July 2024, our designer and I called, texted, and emailed multiple times and received no response until 3 months later on 10/17/24. When I responded to that email I included a screenshot of a prior correspondence with them on 3/25/24, in which I state in no uncertain terms that I do not want pleats on the drapes. We continued to ask them to pick those drapes up and remove the pleats for months, and only received a response in March 2025 when my husband, who is a lawyer, threatened legal action. They picked the drapes up in March to remove the pleats, a fix which generally requires very little turnaround time. And yet here we are, more than two months later, without the drapes having been altered and returned and no word from anyone on when we can expect them back. So all in all, getting these custom drapes has taken over a year, and we're still not done yet. The only reason we stuck with this company is that they were the only one willing to reupholster our very large couch on site. The couch is finished and looks gorgeous, but I would never, ever hire these folks again.

I called Hudson Framing in advance to ask about a couple prints that I needed to get professionally framed due to their unusual size. I wasn't looking for anything super fancy, and let Lorene know I was looking for budget-friendly options over the phone. I also let her know I had Covid concerns, as I was going to visit in the middle of a surge and I had high risk family members staying with me. She was kind and understanding over the phone, and when I got to the store, she immediately put on a mask and welcomed me in. During my visit, a couple other people entered the store, and Lorene stopped and kindly asked them to wear a mask - and even offered to give them one - saying *she* had her own Covid concerns. I was honestly touched by that gesture. She worked with me on options for the prints, and offered guidance on mats, materials, etc. She looked for good quality frame options at a lower price point, and was able to find something that was ultimately exactly what I wanted and at a lower price than I expected. I went to pick up my prints a couple weeks later, not realizing it was on the same day as the Hudson art festival. I somehow found parking about 3-4 blocks away. When I picked up my rather sizable prints, Lorene asked me where I was parked. I told her, and she offered to help me carry the prints. I insisted I was fine to do it on my own, and she asked how I would carry them. I fumbled tucking them both under my arms, and she took one and started walking out the door, insisting that she help me. Turns out, I needed her assistance, and enjoyed a nice chat with her as we walked to my car. Lorene is just so wonderful. I am getting a third print done to fit my wall, and will absolutely be bringing it - along with future art - to Hudson framing. I really can't say enough wonderful things about this store and Lorene.

I have only visited this new and upcoming shopping center twice and am unsure exactly when this Michaels opened, but boy, it's so large, new and spectacular! And needed, there wasn't ONE art store throughout the Hudson / Marlborough area until this place opened. Every time I was in the area, there wouldn't be any store to get all the art stuff I would be looking for, and finally there is! And this Michaels is the only one I've found that is comparable to the amazing one near my house. It's huge and provides such a wonderful atmosphere and ability to provide customers who shop at this specific location with the most inventory. Cement flooring and very organized in total. Staff are friendly and the best thing are those coupons that are never nonexistent! I actually feel guilty not using a coupon at Michaels... I only normally buy one thing (and would suggest it to others) here, and come back so frequently so that I ultimately get everything I need for 50 or 60% off! Make sure to never come to this store without a printed coupon or smartphone to use an online coupon.... paying full price for anything in this store is absurd! Large parking lot, and generally, not a busy store. 5 stars for the Hudson Michaels.
