There are also many options to customize this for exactly what you need. I did a late on Friday afternoon session and I felt amazing walking out afterwards. They started my room at 130º, but you can adjust this to what feels right for you. Once you start the time anc are in the booth you can relax. Just sit back and watch tv and relax. I had a good sweat going on during my session. Afterward, the eucalyptus cold towel was a nice touch and a nice way to cool down. I will likely go back. I can see how amazing this would be on a winter day, where you just need to get some of the bad out.

She gave a great explanation of the benefits and the way for me to get the best out of my experience. I signed up for the unlimited week after which I eagerly signed up for a monthly membership. You have a choice of pay each time, unlimited or 8/month option. Every session, I turn on the Bluetooth connected TV to play music and get to spend 40 minutes reading or meditating. You can also watch TV if you choose. You are given towels and a cool eucalyptus washcloth to use after the session. I always leave very refreshed and can't wait for my next session. The staff is great and make me feel welcome and appreciated.

However, it can get busy there and the hot tub chlorine does sting my eyes a bit. There is also a steam and dry sauna there (both men and women in there). Parking is also difficult to find close by with how many people go there now. The women's locker room was nice, but honestly I expected the showers to be nicer and more modern. We stopped by the cafe on the way out. I tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese had apples in it and had good flavor. However, the tomato soup just tasted like thick, sour, tomato paste. It was not creamy like typical tomato soup.

I am sharing the reason I ended my membership at Woodside: the conduct of the Director of…read moreMembership, Tara. From the beginning, her behavior consistently crossed professional boundaries and created an environment that felt more like a social hunting ground for certain male members than a wellness club. On multiple occasions, Tara suggested that I "needed" a male partner and even sent men over to approach me while I was eating or speaking with others--behavior witnessed by Woodside staff and other members. Even the bartender, Jake, acknowledged what was happening and told me I handled the situation well. This was wildly inappropriate for someone in her position. During a Woodside happy hour event, I was approached by a status‑level, older member who offered to pay me for sexual services. When I reached out to Tara privately to clarify that I was not seeking any kind of partner, she dismissed my concerns and insisted otherwise. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, she minimized it. Tara has also made negative comments about me to other members and spoken poorly about other guests in my presence. These patterns made the club feel less like a professional, wellness‑focused environment and more like a place where certain members are enabled and protected while others are made uncomfortable. My decision to leave Woodside is directly tied to my experiences with Tara. Prospective members deserve to know the culture being shaped by the membership leadership, and I strongly urge ownership to take these concerns seriously. I am prepared to provide further details if needed.

Check in was fine but they seemed confused on some of the paperwork. They allowed us to have the private back room which was cool. However they didn't give us our snack until right at the very end and we only had like 5 mins to eat it and then was whisked off to the sauna and when we came back, the snack was gone. Which was disappointing bc the snacks were very tasty and delicious and such a waste of food. If we had that room the whole time, they should've given us the snack at the beginning so we had the whole time to eat it.. we each had at least two services. I had the massage and it was very average. The lady didn't know where my trigger points were at all and was just massaging with no regard for my personal trigger points. Then when I laid face up, she put a wet warm towel on my face and by the end of it, it was cold and felt like gross wet towel on my face. Also that evening, I had red bumps all over my face. And she completely fucked up my neck. She had no idea where trigger points in my neck were either and was just pushing way too hard on all the wrong spots. It was not great. The sauna can fit two people and you could get on YouTube and play whatever music you like. Which was nice. But I don't see the benefit in the sauna at all. Very odd. Anyways, the other girls seemed to enjoy their services for the most part so at least that's a plus. But I will definitely not be coming back.

Professional, certified fitness training staff on site. Indoor pool open year-round. Two full-size gymnasiums with all the amenities. And so much more! The Lenexa Rec Center is a crown jewel of the burgeoning 'City Center' space in western JoCo. Buttressed up against City Hall and the newest JoCo library branch, the Rec Center offers year-round enjoyment. Besides the opportunity for personal fitness, exercise classes, or just free play, the Rec Center offers a community space with loads of classes for all ages. You could even request to host parties or small events here, with staff at the ready to help you during your event. The indoor pool is a real draw, open year-round, save for maintenance windows. There are two indoor slides (the longest in the state), a 25M swim lane area, diving well, and a lazy river. The shallows are ultra-kid friendly, wading to low depths with sprinkles and splashes to boot! You can even find your way to the warm water wellness pool, kept at 90° and perfect for therapeutic relaxation. I'm spoiled because this spot is in my neighborhood, though you don't have to be a Lenexa resident to join. There are other places very similar scattered about town, but for the price, the value FAR exceeds the expectation. Covered parking, food amenities next door, shopping, and more are within steps. Come try Lenexa; I promise you'll love it.

The sauna itself is beautiful and functions well, which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1. That said, the customer service experience was far more difficult than expected for a premium product at this price point. The unit arrived with a damaged crate and visible cosmetic damage to the wood. Communication regarding the freight claim was inconsistent, follow-up was slow, and at times I had to repeatedly reach out for updates after being told tickets would be submitted. They only chose to respond after I contacted my credit card company. Sunlighten eventually offered partial compensation instead of panel replacement, which we accepted to avoid having to disassemble the unit ourselves. However, even after the resolution, communication dropped off entirely. Small details that were promised as part of the resolution were incomplete, which unfortunately reinforced the feeling that customer support became less responsive once the sale was finalized. I still believe the product itself is high quality, but based on my experience, prospective buyers should be aware that if there is a delivery or freight issue, the resolution process may require persistence and patience.

I have spent over $400 on facials and lash lift services and have been consistently struck by the lack of professionalism displayed by both the estheticians and the front desk staff. I would strongly caution anyone with blonde lashes against booking a lash lift with Ann. The results were uneven, with lashes permed in multiple directions. During the service, she commented that I did not have many lashes, which I initially found odd. In hindsight, it appears the issue was not my lashes but her inability to properly see or work with them. A previous, extremely poor deep tissue massage at the former location kept me away for more than a decade. I returned with optimism due to the new facility, but that optimism was misplaced. After several hours wasted and significant out-of-pocket expense, it is clear that while Ultimate Escape is aesthetically pleasing, the service execution is substandard. The staff appeared disengaged and awkward, and there is a clear need for comprehensive customer service and technical training. Unfortunately, this experience has confirmed that I will not be returning.
