After you check in at the register, they offer a complementary glass of Rosé or Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Juice. (You also have the option the bring your own bottle of wine) Afterwards, they show you the wall of vessels you'll make your candle in and a quick backstory about them and their multi-functional purpose. Then, they show you to the fragrance wall to smell and choose your scent. Then, they bring you back to the table to guide you through making your candle step by step. Once you start it goes by very quickly and next thing you know you're done! Takes about 3hrs for the candle to set and they let us know when your candle is finished. You can come back and they'll refill it for $10 with the same scent or a different scent. The class itself is $40 per person but a detailed guided experience, multiple vessel options, multiple fragrance options, and a pretty quick turnaround is well worth it!

From the Owner Aubreys' super sweet and charming personality to the entire vibe of her shop, it's a must visit. I was in the Market for work meetings and stopped by to visit her shop. She has so many amazing smells and scents here that I knew I was going to buy something. You have to lol. I noticed a candle sitting under what I thought was just a lamp so I asked her what it was and she said it was a candle warmer. She explained to me that it melts the wax slower and the candle lasts longer. She also hand pours all her candles and makes the scents!! I was sold! I purchased a candle and a candle warmer and it's legit my new favorite thing ever lol. I always love supporting a small business, but this one is extra special to me now. It was such a great atmosphere and I had such a nice time picking out my scents and decorating my candle! Aubrey was so nice and helpful! She gave me honest advice on my scents and helped me achieve what I was looking for. She was also just great to talk to, would check in every now and then but also let me get in my zone. The whole thing was 25$ which personally I think is a great price for a good quality candle that you get to customize yourself as well as decorate, And the container is reusable. The owner was able to pop in too, so it was cool to meet her. The vibes? Y'all, they have the vibes. The inside is GORGEOUS. It smells amazing and is filled with genuinely friendly people. The retired teacher, sorry I forgot her name, was so sweet and told great stories. As for the experience itself, at first I was nervous about blending oils and trying to create something amazing. But once I got the hang of it, I swear I created the perfect scent for me. I won't ruin the details for anyone else, but the scent I ended up loving was one I never expected to like. I truly shocked myself with that realization. I did not do the instructor led class, but whenever we had questions, they were there to help. All in all, the high of that day is something I'll always remember. Despite the nerves, I created a beautiful scent, and even creating the name was special. This was such an incredible birthday gift, surprise, and experience.

This particular day was the anniversary of my mother's transition so this experience really brightened my day. While exploring the NoDa area, I stumbled upon Blank Generation, and the moment I saw the word…read more"bookstore", I had to stop in! Total book nerd move, no regrets. This is a used bookstore with so much more to offer. Beyond books, they also carry unique knick-knacks like vintage clothing, arts, journals, and other thoughtfully curated items. The overall vibe is very bohemian and relaxing, the kind of place you can wander through and instantly feel at ease. As expected with a used bookstore, there's that classic old-book/thrift store scent, which comes with the territory and adds to the charm. The space itself is quaint, organized, and really cute. The bookstore section was my favorite, such a great selection across genres including mystery, romance, banned books, crime, and more. Truly something for everyone. I ended up purchasing two books, both reasonably priced and in great condition, which made the find even sweeter. The employee working that day was super friendly and helpful, answering my questions not only about the books but also about the surrounding area, which I really appreciated. Pricing is different, with an assigned amount and then reductions the longer it sits on the showroom floor. You can chance it for the better price, but beware someone may snag the treasure for themselves! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the inventory. I ended up buying a piece and am so happy with it already!
