I love this place. First of all the people that work there are so helpful and personable. From the owner, Julie, and the manager Christina down to wonderful workers like Taylor or Sanpriti, it's always a pleasure to go into the store and have knowledgeable friendly people able to answer your questions. I went twice in a matter of one day. The first night I arrived just as they were closing and the following morning I was one of the first people in the store. It was Friday the 13th and also a full moon, so I wanted to gather a few supplies to do a full moon ritual, but because I was traveling, I didn't have things like candles, incense and crystals readily available. I found another store on Yelp, but when I called them, they suggested I come here since they were about to close and Sanctuary Imports stays open til 8pm on Friday. Upon entering, I was not greeted but there were a few other people browsing in the store, so I just assumed she was assisting one of those people. They have so many crystals that about 2 mins into the store, I truly felt like I was balancing. I began to hold a couple of the crystals in my hand and within a few minutes became so serene, it became easier to shop with intention. There is a table of different sorts of sage, and multiple tables of crystals. There was some sort of hypnosis class being held. The candle assortment is what you'd find in most stores, but they have a list of what the various candles work for, and the incense stockpile contained some I hadn't see or used before I'd truly come back here any time I am in Charlotte and even signed up for their email/class list. read more

This was my second time in this shop & i am not at all disappointed. tbh, parking is a bit tedious to find, but aside from that, the shop itself is absolutely lovely. At first, I was unsure about it, but coming inside, I was more than happy to be there. I felt comfortable reaching out with any questions as I was offered assistance by the employees before hand. This metaphysical shop has so many unique items and it's huge compared to others I've shopped at. I truly don't understand why every review I see of this place claims the prices are "fair." Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing pieces here, and the employees are nice, but the prices, outrageous! Usually I buy from Etsy/non-metaphysical stores because they have better prices, but I decided to go to this place since it was near somewhere I was visiting. I literally saw a piece of fluorite the size of a quarter being sold for $18.00! I could easily buy a whole chunk of fluorite for less off of any website. Just because you claim a rock can give you super powers does not mean it's true, and that you can market it for 3x what it's worth. Borderline robbery! read more

I was looking for a cute ring for myself and my best friend. I found two great rings with crystals that caught my eye. Two days later the crystal in my ring fell out and I was unsure when or where. I went back to the store to see what we could do about the now crystal-less ring. One of the kind workers called the manager and the manager said that there is nothing they could do and there are no returns on jewelry. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND shopping here at all, especially if looking for jewelry which is literally half their store. I wasn't told about the jewelry policy from the beginning when I bought my rings, and it's not my fault the crystal fell out because the ring was cheaply made. God forbid someone buys a couple hundred dollar ring and the manager pretty much tells you to piss off. Piss poor customer acknowledgement from the manager. I'll never step foot again. read more

Good evening guys, I usually don't complain on public posts as I know how important it is for the reviews for ANY business. However, I feel a strong duty to the metaphysical and spiritual healing community to stand up for what isn't acceptable in healing space. I went to Sanctuary Imports to find spiritual peace and healing, I've been here a handful of times and it's always been an inviting and friendly atmosphere. Upon my recent experience, this was not the case, in regards to the receptionist's behavior. I attended a Guided Meditation on Sunday at 4 p.m. on the 6th of January. I was excited to finally meet some healers I've heard of; I get off of work and had a nagging feeling to not attend the meditation. However, in all of my spiritual excited stubbornness, I continued my way to the event. Initially, I looked forward to meeting the healers, and having a nice, relaxing time at the Guided Meditation. Upon arrival at the store, I entered through the back entrance and walked towards the receptionist's desk. At the time, she was already assisting another customer; therefore, I didn't mind patiently waiting for her to finish up her conversation. What I found to be unsettling, was the fact that she was bragging about how she dealt with some previous customers. She apparently made some customers wait 30 minutes purposely, due to whatever had occurred that day. I am shocked and appalled at the energy the receptionist was bringing into the space, and I was not receptive of the energy at all. After noticing her statement, I took a step behind the acknowledged customer as the receptionist continued her rant and a family of 3 showed up. Once the family approached the desk, she looked over and told the first customer, "Let me check these people in real quick!" She then proceeded to acknowledge the Family of 3, completely dismissing my presence. Only when I stepped in front of the desk, was I finally acknowledged by her. That was a massive cue by my intuition to leave the facility. I am outraged by the misrepresentation of spiritual work. People come to this store for spiritual healing and guidance, and this is very unsettling and disappointing. I come in peace and really hope this issue can be addressed so that others will not endure this same experience, especially the people who are just now awakening and are in need of some true, honest spiritual guidance. I hope that you all find this information useful. I'm grateful for the past healing experiences I've had here but I am highly doubtful that I will step foot into this place again. read more
