I ultimately had to file a small claims lawsuit. The court entered judgment in my favor, confirming that I was owed money. Unfortunately, collecting on that judgment has been an entirely separate battle that has required additional court appearances and significant time and expense. It has led to a dead end for me because of his assets (or lack thereof). The financial loss is frustrating, but what stands out most is the complete lack of accountability throughout this process. A small front porch rebuild took nearly 3 months to complete. There were multiple no-call/no-show days, long gaps with no work being done, and very poor communication throughout the project. Costs also appeared significantly inflated for both labor and materials compared to what would normally be expected for a project this size. Another major issue is that the contractor never registered the project with the city, repeatedly claiming there were "issues with the process," which raises concerns about whether he even had insurance After experiencing these problems, I found numerous negative reviews online and a very poor BBB rating, along with complaints across HomeAdvisor and Yelp. Overall: unreliable, overpriced, and unprofessional. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Review update: If you look at all the reviews Vincent has replied to over all of the sites he's on, he attacks the client as being difficult rather than taking any responsibility for the final product or taking ownership of his actions on a project. He doesn't offer to make things right (when he does it's not sincere) or take much pride in his work (which he doesn't do himself) because he's already moved onto the next client. You are not valued as a client by this contractor. I would not hire again or recommend him to anyone.

I followed up TWO DAYS later, and got a quote with a two page list of conditions, one of which required a 50% deposit with NO COMMITMENT for date(s) the service would be provided. Also they listed credit card as an acceptable payment method but DID NOT reveal that they assessed a 3% service charge (I had to ASK in a separate communication). Cannot comment on quality of the actual service I was requesting because I declined the quotation. If they CANNOT communicate in the quotation stage, how am I supposed to trust them by just GIVING them money in advance and no commitment for the work?
