We got two large pumpkins and got to pick either a white or blue pumpkin. The supplies to decorate were plentiful. They provide all kinds of ideas and examples. The instructors are very friendly and helpful. I do not consider myself a creative person but after these classes I do! Many people brought snacks and drinks. Definitely a fun night out.

On my most recent visit, many of the plants looked neglected, with dead leaves everywhere. After finally finding one plant I liked, I had an unpleasant interaction with the cashier when I asked about a military discount and requested tissue to cover the muddy pot. Her responses were abrupt and rude, leaving me upset enough to cry afterward. The only bright spot was a kind teenage employee who helped me figure out the bag to cover and carry the plant. Unfortunately, when I later spoke with the GM, my concerns were dismissed and the cashier's behavior was excused. Goodbye, Platt Hill. I have purchased overpriced, dead plants for the last time.

Both stores are located in a tiny strip mall. Parking can be tight when it's busy, but for the most part, it's not a bad lot. It's also located off the main drag, so it's not too hard to pull into the strip mall or out of it! I was told in the very back of the store. I asked the lady working that department since I could not find it. She was far enough away that she could have walked over and shown me the first time. She walks back as slow as she can and shows me nothing that I have described to her. The closest she has is a big plastic stool that is more of a side table in size. I have just wasted 20 minutes in this store. -3 and running to get out if the store to get to Home Depo then get my husband and then go to the hospital. I arrived 20 minutes before the close and was having a hard time finding where some hardware was. The associate asked me if I needed help and helped me find 4 things I needed within 2 minutes. She was awesome in the hardware department. So nice as I was stressing we were not going to get everything needed before the store close. I always have had good experiences here. They have great selection of lumber and milk work as well as a side note. Needless to say... I highly Recommend this menards! Great service from knowledgeable team members.
